Description

The invention relates to a racking device.

More specifically, the invention relates to a shelving device with a three-dimensional structure consisting of elements assembled together removably or permanently.

Conventionally, the shelving devices comprise amounts of four interconnected by ties connecting the uprights two to two so as to maintain a constant spacing between the amounts.

The conventional shelving device also includes shelves for the support of objects or the storage of materials.

A shelving device is described for example in the document US Patent 4173934 .

In this regard, it is important to note that the invention can be used both for professional applications, particularly in warehouses, and especially for the storage of heavy materials or objects and / or large volumes for domestic applications and in particular receiving lighter materials or objects.

A recurring problem in marketed shelving devices is the connection between the shelves and the rest of the shelving device.

So far, various solutions have been proposed to achieve the subjection between the tablet and the racking device.

In a first embodiment, the shelves comprise assembly means such as hooks attached to the shelf and allowing to engage in cuts provided in the amounts; this technical solution, however, has various disadvantages and in particular the manufacture of these tablets is complex to achieve.

According to a second embodiment, using clips that can be inserted into the amounts of the racking device and on which simply rest the tablets by gravity.

This type of securing is advantageous in the sense that it makes it easy to add or remove the tablets even after racking mounted completely; however, it also has drawbacks and in particular a shelf stability problem that only rest on the clips.

In this type of device, there is a significant risk of accidental detachment of the tablet from the clips.

Furthermore, these tablets are not adapted to receive significant loads given the fact that the weight constraints are reported entirely on the clips which are generally relatively thin elements.

The present invention aims to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a racking device in which the securing means between each shelf and the device allow a high stability of tablets without accidental risk of recess of the latter.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a racking device in which the assembly structure between the sleepers and the racking device allows the reception on the shelves of heavy and bulky objects.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a shelving device in which the shelves can be easily added or removed even when the shelving device is completely mounted.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a shelving device in which the securing means between the shelf and the shelving device also allow the reception of stiffening elements of the shelf.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a racking device in which the securing means between each support shelf and the racking device allow easy manufacture of each shelf.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a shelving device in which the securing means between the shelf and the shelving device are masked when the assembly is made to significantly improve the aesthetics of the shelving device.

For this purpose, the subject of the present invention is a racking device comprising uprights, crosspieces connecting the uprights to one another in pairs and at least one support shelf and means for securing the tablet to the rest of the device. racking.

Referring to Figures 1 to 6 , there is shown a racking device 1 comprising uprights 2, sleepers 3 and different support shelves 4.

Referring this time more specifically to Figures 2 to 4 , securing means 5 are made between the shelves 4 and the crosspieces 3.

More specifically, the securing means 5 comprise slots 6 formed in at least one flange 7 of each shelf 4, and at least one fold 8 made on each cross member 3 for the formation of a double wall 9 having in particular a profile. U even in J.

However, in other configurations, it can be provided that the securing means 5 are located at one edge of the tablet 4, the other edges being equipped with other attachment systems.

In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in the Figures 1 to 5 , the rim 7 has a substantially quadrilateral section and the slot 6 extends from the inner face 10 to the lower face 11 of the rim 7.

This feature makes it possible to drive the fold 8 of the cross member 3 to a high height to increase all the stability of the shelf 4 on the racking device 1 and also to prevent any accidental recess since, to allow disengagement of the tablet 4 relative to the crossbar 3, and therefore relative to the racking device 1, the user must lift the shelf 4 by a height corresponding to the height of the fold 8 or the height of the slot depending on whether the height of the fold 8 is substantially greater or substantially less than the height of the slot 6.

Depending on the security constraints, we can therefore consider a fold 8 of high height corresponding to a slot height 6 also important.

Preferably, the height of the fold 8 is slightly greater than the height of the slot 6, so that the flange 8a of the fold 8 is in contact on the bottom 6a of the slot 6 and the base 9a of the U-profile is in the plane of the recess 11a of the lower face 11 of the flange 7, as it appears on the Figures 3 to 6 .

However, it is possible to envisage a height of the fold 8 slightly smaller than the height of the slot 6, in which case the internal side of the base 9a of the U-profile would be in contact on the lower face 11 of the flange 7.

The operation and assembly of the racking device 1 are very simple since, in a first step, we just connect the uprights 2 two by two using the cross members 3 and then, once the uprights 2 are positioned and fixed, we position each tablet 4 on the sleepers 3, these tablets 4 can be removed or replaced without the need to disassemble the uprights 2 or even sleepers.

In order to facilitate the positioning of the tablet 4 with respect to the cross-member 3, an enlarged part 12 is provided at the slots 6, facilitating the introduction of the cross-member 3 at its fold 8.

Advantageously, it is also provided that the gap separating the double wall 9 corresponds to the distance between the slot 6 and the end 13 of the flange 7. In this way, the tablet 4 is completely wedged with respect to the cross member 3 so that in the vertical plane only in the horizontal plane.

Referring to the figure 4 , we see that the fold 8 of the crossbar 3 extends over the entire length of the crossbar 3 between the latches 14 to the amount.

This feature has a double advantage, on the one hand, it makes it possible to limit the machining operations on the crosspiece 3 and, on the other hand, the unoccupied parts 8 for receiving the fold 7 can allow the reception of elements stiffeners 15.

That being so, in other embodiments, provision may be made for the cross-member 3 to comprise only two folds 8 at its ends substantially corresponding to the dimensions of the slots 6.

Referring this time mainly to Figures 5 and 6 , there is shown a stiffening element 15 for supporting a tablet 4.

Depending on the loads supported by the racking device 1, it can be provided that each shelf 4 or only some of them are equipped with one or more stiffening elements 15.

According to one embodiment, such a stiffening element 15 is independent and removable. Thus, such stiffening elements 15 are reported under the shelves 4 according to the needs, that is to say the load to bear.

According to an alternative embodiment, such stiffening elements 15 may be fixed under the tablet 4, for example by clinching or welding. In this case, the device may comprise a first type of tablet 4 provided with stiffening elements 15 and a second type of tablet 4 without stiffening elements 15.

Advantageously, it is expected that the stiffening element 15 has at each end 17 slots 16 cooperating with the double wall 9 of the cross members 3.

Also advantageously, there is provided, at the cross member 3, notches 18 as shown in FIG. figure 4 to ensure a locking of the stiffening element 15 and prevent its translation in the direction of the main axis of the crossbar 3.

The spacing between these notches 18 corresponds to the length of the slots 16 and therefore allows to come to retain the stiffening element 15 preventing any translation of the latter once positioned in these notches 18.

Returning to figure 4 another advantageous characteristic of the cross-member 3 is shown. More precisely, it can be seen that the cross-member 3 comprises a hook-off 20.

This hook 20 allows both to increase the stiffness of the cross member 3 and allow alignment with the edge 19 of the tablet 4 thus allowing an alignment of all elements 3 and 4 with respect to the uprights 2 without no game

It is also interesting to note that the cross member 3 can be advantageously made in one piece.

The particular structure of the securing means 5 thus makes it possible to obtain a racking device 1 in particular that can be easily modulated to be assembled or dismantled and that has a high stability both horizontally and vertically.

Of course, other embodiments within the reach of those skilled in the art could also be envisaged without departing from the scope of the invention defined by the claims below.

Claims (12)

1. A shelving device comprising uprights (2), cross-bars (3) interconnecting the uprights (2) in pairs, at least one support plate (4), and securing means (5) for securing the plate (4), the device being characterized in that the securing means (5) comprise:

   ▪ sloths (6) formed in at least one rim (7) of each plate (4); and

   ▪ at least one fold (8) formed on each cross-bar (3) enabling a double wall (9) to be formed and such that the fold (8) of the cross-bar (3) cooperates with the slots (6) formed in the plate (4) enabling an edge of the plate (4) to be received in the double wall (9) of the cross-bar (3).
2. A shelving device according to claim 1, wherein the plate (3) has two rims (7), each presenting one slot (6) per end, and co-operating with two lateral cross-bars (3) enabling each plate (4) to be received by the cross-bars (3) in the vicinity of its four corners.
3. A shelving device according to claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the rim (7) of the plate (4) is of substantially quadrilateral section, the slot (6) extending from the inside face (10) to the bottom face of the rim (7).
4. A shelving device according to any preceding claim, wherein each slot (6) formed in the rim (7) of the plate includes an enlarged portion (12) facilitating insertion of the fold (8) of the cross-bar (3).
5. A shelving device according to any preceding claim, wherein said at least one fold (8) of the cross-bar (3) extends along the length of the cross-bar (3) situated between the attachment tabs (14).
6. A shelving device according to any preceding claim, wherein the height of the fold (8) corresponds substantially to the depth of the slots (6) formed in each plate (4).
7. A shelving device according to any preceding claim, wherein the cross-bar (3) is made as a single piece.
8. A shelving device according to any preceding claim, wherein the cross-bar (3) includes a setback (20) making it possible to come into alignment with the edge face of the plate once installed.
9. A shelving device according to any preceding claim, including at least one stiffener element (15) enabling a plate (4) to be supported, said stiffener element (15) including slots (16) at each end (17) co-operating with the double walls (9) of the cross-bars (3) so as to enable the element to be received by the cross-bars.
10. A shelving device according to claim 9, wherein the cross-bar (3) has two notches (18) in the fold (8) enabling the stiffener element (15) to be prevented from moving in translation.
11. A shelving device according to claim 9 or claim 10, the stiffener element (15) being independent from and fitted under the plate (4).
12. A shelving device according to claim 9 or claim 10, the stiffener element (15) being fastened under the plate (4).
