Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a six-sided folding or folding box in cube or cuboid shape. Of the six sides, one forms a bottom wall and four further side walls which are hingedly connected in turn via folding bellows arranged in the box corner areas. By way of the latter, as well as the hinged attachment of the sidewalls to the bottom wall, the carton can be raised from a flat position, with the bellows pulled flat apart, into a raised position in which the bellows are compressed. In the flat position, the respective plan of the bellows is divided by a diagonal or oblique hinge axis in an inner and an outer region. In the raised position, the respective inner and outer regions of the bellows are raised above the respective diagonal or oblique hinge axis (obliquely relative to a box center or symmetry axis) from the flat starting position and swiveled toward one another. The respective outer region of a bellows is also attached to the nearest side wall surface fitting, for example by gluing. Furthermore, the invention relates to a manufacturing method for such a carton using an elongated flat blank having at least three successive, separated by transversely extending hinge joint axes sections in its longitudinal direction. In order to facilitate the packaging of goods, such as textile products or the like, the carton according to the invention is equipped with additional elements that allow to fix the carton in the raised position even with the top wall open.

A generic carton is in the European patent application EP 1 740 470 described by the same applicant. However, this carton has no fixing and is stabilized only in the closed state by the top wall and the lid wall connected to the closing mechanism, so that it may be difficult with the box open to place the goods as desired in the box.

To solve this problem, it is known to provide the bellows with an adhesive device, such as double-sided tape, so that before installing the carton in the raised position of the user or seller can deduct the adhesive tape covering protective layer and then the carton permanently in the raised position to fix. The solution succeeds with a folding box according to one of claims 1 or 2. Advantageous developments emerge from the subclaims.
