Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for the electrically conductive connection of insulated electrical conductors, which are squeezed together at their stripped ends parallel to each other in a metallic crimping connector, wherein the crimping connector is arranged in an existing of insulating material, cup-shaped cap.
Such arrangements are available on the market. They are used, for example, for simple and space-saving electrically conductive connection of combined in wire harnesses electrical conductors. The ends of the conductors to be connected are brought together and stripped and then the bare conductors are then connected to a metallic crimp connector. The crimp connector is then insulated so that it can be integrated in the assembly of a cable harness or attached to a receptacle in the region of a mounted harness. To isolate the crimp connector in a known technique, a cap made of soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is used, in which an adhesive is included and which is glued to the crimp connector. The PVC cap is mechanically sensitive and the glue can easily cause soiling and damage to the cap.
The invention has for its object to make the above-described arrangement so that a mechanically improved protection of the crimp connector without contamination and damage is achieved.
- that the cap is made of a dimensionally stable plastic and has a dimensionally stable cavity corresponding to the dimensions of the crimp connector, and
- that in the cavity of the cap at least one clamping rib for locking the same is mounted on the crimping connector positioned in the cap.
The cap of this arrangement is made of dimensionally stable plastic, so that the crimp connector is not only isolated in the same, but also protected against coarse mechanical stress. The dimensionally stable cavity of the cap is matched in its dimensions to the dimensions of the crimp connector, so that the same is relatively tightly enclosed by the same after its insertion into the cap. To fix the cap on the crimp connector no additional measures and materials are spent, but it is easily and quickly locked after plugging on the crimp connector by the clamping rib on the same. A risk of contamination and damage is excluded when using this cap, since in particular no adhesive is needed for their attachment to the crimp connector.
Advantageously, two clamping ribs are used in the cap, which are arranged on two opposite sides in the cavity thereof.
An embodiment of the subject invention is shown in the drawings.

The
Approximately in the middle of the
The arrangement according to the invention is produced, for example, as follows:
