Dieser zylindrische Mantel hat einen Außendurchmesser D1 und einen Innendurchmesser D2, so dass in diesen zylindertörmigen Aufnahmeabschnitt eine ebenfalls als zylinderförmig ausgebildetes radialsymmetrisches Lamellenkontaktgitter, auch als RADSOK-Kontakt bezeichnet, aufgenommen werden kann. Dadurch wird eine definierte Anlageposition, an der Steckverbinderbuchse 1 steckseitig und gleichermaßen von der Anschlussseite geschaffen, sodass diese Steckverbinderbuchse 1 sowohl von einer Rückwandmontage auch von einer Frontmontage her in eine entsprechende Aufnahmeposition gebracht werden kann. Alternativ kann der Ringabschnitt 9 auch dazu genutzt werden, in automatisierten Verfahrensschritten als definierter Greif- oder Positionierpunkt gewählt zu werden. Im Anschluss an den Ringabschnitt 9 befindet sich der Anschlussabschnitt 4 zur Aufnahme eines hier nicht dargestellten Kabel oder einer Leitung. Der Anschlussabschnitt 4 verläuft vorzugsweise vom Aufnahmeabschnitt 3 über einen als Kegelfläche 13 ausgebildeten Bereich hin zum eigentlichen Anschlussabschnitt 4.
