Definitions

  • the invention relates to a roll packaging device with a plurality of packaging web rolls, which are arranged in a packaging web magazine, and with a roll wrapping position, in which a web roll is inserted, wherein in the packaging web magazine a plurality of first packaging web rolls are arranged with their end sides along a plane and at least one second packaging web roll on the other Side of the level is arranged.
  • a paper web is produced almost endlessly and in a large width of currently up to about 10 m.
  • the wide paper web is cut into partial webs.
  • Such partial webs have a width in the range of about 0.3 to 3.8 m.
  • These partial webs are then wound up to material web rolls.
  • the diameter of such a web roll is on the order of about 0.5 to about 2.5 m.
  • the web roll must be packed for transport.
  • a common packaging material here is wrapping paper. The wrapping paper is kept ready on packaging web rolls.
  • the web rolls that need to be packaged usually have different axial lengths.
  • the "axial length” is also referred to below as the "width" of the material web roll.
  • a packaging web For proper packaging of a roll of web material, a packaging web should be used which projects beyond the two end faces of the web roll by approximately 10 to 20 cm. This supernatant is then folded onto the end face of the material web roll, wherein the end face is covered by an inner end cover. After folding the supernatant on the inner end cover then an outer end cover is attached, for example glued to complete the packaging of the web roll.
  • EP 1 209 082 B1 a roll packaging device with a plurality of axially parallel arranged packaging web rolls whose axial centers lie in a common plane.
  • a material web roll to be packaged is then moved to a fixed position, in which, irrespective of the width of the material web roll, the axial center of this material web roll coincides with the axial centers of the packaging web rolls.
  • a packaging web whose width matches the width of the material web roll to be packaged is pulled off the corresponding packaging web roll and brought to rest against the web roll. The web roll is then rotated several times, for example twice, to produce a perimeter wrap.
  • the invention has for its object to keep the cost of packaging a web roll low.
  • the web roll for which a suitable packaging web is available. provided with a one-piece peripheral packaging. From the available packaging web rolls one is selected, the width of which is slightly larger than the width of the web roll to be packaged. If the web roll is wider than the widest package web roll, then the second dunnage roll is used along with one of the first dunnage web rolls to produce a composite package web roll. This then again provides a range of fixed widths for the packaging web, these widths being composed of the width of the second packaging web roll and the width of one of the first packaging web rolls. It has almost twice as many fixed widths for the packaging of web rolls available, as there are packaging web rolls.
  • the second packaging web roll projects beyond the plane by a predetermined distance, an overlap can be achieved between the packaging web coming from the second packaging web roll and the packaging web coming from one of the first packaging web rolls.
  • This overlap is generated during packaging, ie when wrapping the material web roll with the packaging web. Since the two packaging webs of the first packaging web roll and the second packaging web roll nest together, as it were, such a packaging, despite the fact that it is a composite packaging, very dense and durable.
  • all packaging web rolls have different axial lengths. This also applies to the second packaging web roll. It is then possible to include the second packaging web roll in the spectrum of the packaging web rolls, which can be used with narrower material web rolls for one-piece packaging.
  • each packaging web roll has a roll center and in the roll wrapping position a roll positioner is arranged, with which each web roll with its roll center in the roll center of its associated packaging web roll can be fixed.
  • the web rolls then have different positions in the roll wrapping position. This is not critical. With today available Rollenpositionierern, such as a plate conveyor, a sufficient accuracy of positioning can be achieved with little effort.
  • each first packaging web roll has a composite roll center position and in the roll wrapping position a roll positioner is arranged with which each web roll can be fixed with its roll center in the composite roll center position of its associated first packaging web roll.
  • the composite roller center position is offset from the roller center of the first packaging web roll.
  • the roller center position results from half the sum of the widths of a first packaging web roll and the second packaging web roll, optionally taking into account the overlap of the packaging webs of the first and second packaging web roll.
  • the composite roller center position is used when the material web roll to be packaged is wider than the available packaging web rolls.
  • the second packaging web roll has the second largest or third largest axial length. This makes it possible to cover a broad spectrum of the material web rolls to be packaged fairly completely. Larger jumps between individual widths of the packaging web rolls can be avoided.
  • the second packaging web roll is displaceable in the axial direction. This makes it possible to change the overlap between the second packaging web roll and one of the first packaging web rolls, if this should be necessary. This provides even greater flexibility in packaging Material web rolls given. Since two packaging webs with an axial offset are also wound around the packaging web roll in this case at the same time, relatively dense packages are also produced here.
  • a roll packaging apparatus 1 has a packaging roll magazine 2 in which a plurality of packaging web rolls 3-7 of a first group are arranged on one side of a plane 8 and a second packaging web roll 9 on the other side of the plane 8.
  • the second packaging web roll 9 overlaps the plane 8 by a small distance.
  • the second packaging web roll 9 is displaceable on rails 10 parallel to its axis 11 in the direction of a double arrow 12. This relocation is optional.
  • the packaging web rolls 3-7 of the first group which are also referred to for short as “first packaging web rolls", terminate flush with the plane 8 with their left end face. Accordingly, the storage facilities for the first packaging web rolls 3-7, which are not shown here in detail, are aligned so that the packaging web rolls 3-7 can be positioned in the manner shown.
  • a roll wrapping position 13 has two support rollers 14, 15, which have a rotary drive, not shown, so that they can be rotated in the same direction.
  • a roller positioner symbolically represented by a double arrow 16 is used to apply a web roll 17 predetermined axial positions on the support rollers 14, 15 position.
  • the web roll 17 may well be positioned at different positions. As will be explained in more detail below, the axial position of the material web roll 17 depends on how wide the material web roll 17 is, ie which axial length it has.
  • a situation is shown in which a relatively narrow web roll 17 is packaged.
  • a packaging web 18 is selected whose width is slightly greater than the width of the material web roll 17.
  • the packaging web 18 is then applied to the material web roll 17 so that a supernatant 19 is formed on both sides.
  • the packaging web 18 is attached to the circumference of the web roll 17, for example by gluing. If then the support rollers 14, 15 are rotated, the web roll 17 is set in rotation, thereby pulling the packaging web 18 on its circumference. After two revolutions, the rotation of the material web roll 17 is stopped.
  • inner end cover are attached to the end faces of the web roll 17.
  • the supernatant 19 is hammered onto the inner end cover.
  • outer end cover are glued to the front pages and the packaging of the web roll 17 is finished.
  • the material web roll 17 is positioned with its axial center of roll opposite the axial roll center of the packaging web roll 3. If a wider roll of web material to be packaged, for example, the packaging web should be deducted from the packaging web rolls 4-7, then the axial center of such a packaging web roll must be positioned to the right, as for the web roll 17 in Fig. 1 is shown.
  • the material web roll can also be packaged with a packaging web which is pulled off the packaging web roll 9. In this case, the web roll must be positioned farther left than in Fig. 1 shown. Also in this case, the web roll with its axial center with respect to the axial center of the packaging web roll 9 is positioned.
  • the material web roll 17 is narrower than the available packaging webs of the packaging web rolls 3-7 or 9, one can produce a one-piece peripheral packaging.
  • a situation is shown in which a web roll 20 has a greater axial length, ie a greater width than each of the available packaging web rolls 3-7, 9 has.
  • Both packaging webs have an overlap 23.
  • the axial center of web roll 20 is positioned opposite a composite roll center position 24.
  • the two packaging webs 21, 22 are fastened together on the circumference of the material web roll 20, for example by gluing.
  • an adhesive between the two packaging webs 21, 22 are applied in the overlap. However, this is not necessary in many cases.
  • the composite packaging webs 21, 22 form at the two end faces of the material web roll 20 in turn a projection 19, which is handled in the same way as in the packaging situation, the in Fig. 1 is shown.
  • the second packaging web roll 9 has the second largest width of all available packaging web rolls 3-7, 9. It is also possible to use as the second packaging web roll 9, the roll with the third largest width.
  • the spectrum of the packaging web rolls 3-7 is widened by the constant width of the packaging web roll 9 (optionally less the width of the overlap 23), so that in the illustrated six available packaging web rolls 3-7, 9 has a total of eleven constant widths, with which a package can be produced.
  • the second packaging web roll 9 By using the second packaging web roll 9, the number of available widths is almost doubled.
  • the packaging process in the assembled package from the packaging webs 21, 22 is as fast as the packaging process with a single packaging web 18. The risk of a packaging web roll 3-7, 9 aging is low.
