Abstract

An apparatus for drying a delicate textile item is provided that includes a drum which can rotate about an axis for receiving the textile item and that moves the textile item in an air flow that penetrates the drum. A net for receiving the textile item during drying is provided and the net can be stowed in the drum and can rotate with the drum.

Description

The invention relates to a device for drying a delicate textile piece, comprising a drum rotatable about an axis for receiving the textile piece and moving the textile piece in an air stream passing through the drum, characterized by a rotatable with the drum mesh for receiving the textile piece during drying.

Such a device is apparent from the U.S. Patent 5,276,979 , This document discloses all features of the preamble of claim 1.

According to EP 1 431 441 A1 is provided in a tumble dryer in a rotatable laundry drum disassembled to be arranged laundry support for drying delicate laundry items. The laundry device is designed as a cylindrical hollow body. The laundry items to be dried are arranged on an outer circumferential surface of the hollow body and fixed there by being enveloped by a holding device.

According to EP 1 736 588 A1 In a tumble dryer, a rotatable cylindrical drum with three drivers is provided. In each driver a tape is rolled up, and thus three bands can be rolled out of the carriers and attached by means of hooks on adjacent drivers. This results in the interior of the laundry drum, a division into four chambers, in each of which sensitive laundry items can be fixed to dry.

A device for drying a delicate textile piece also emerges from the documents DE 101 03 987 A1 . EP 1 048 996 B1 . EP 1 098 028 B1 and EP 1 108 812 B1 , Each of these documents shows a corresponding device configured as a tumble dryer for use in a common household. In the device according to DE 101 03 987 A1 an insertable into the drum, not rotatable with the drum drying rack is provided, on which a drying in the device sensitive fabric piece can be stored for drying. During operation of the device this piece of fabric remains immovable on the drying rack, and so there is no mechanical stress, the movement of the Textile piece would be inevitable by the running drum during drying. This makes it possible to dry a piece of textile made of fine, in particular made of wool knit or knitted fabric.

However, the use of a drying rack can not be considered in all respects as a convincing solution for the drying of a delicate textile piece. First of all, a considerable effort is required to install the drying rack and place the textile piece on the drying rack. Also, the contacting of the fabric with the drying air flow may be affected, which makes the time required for the drying on the one hand poorly estimable and on the other hand considerably extended.

The invention is based on an object to find a technical design for a tumble dryer or the device mentioned above, which makes both the drying of a delicate piece of textile both simplifies and makes better predictable, and also bescheunigt. All necessary aids should be included in the tumble dryer or the device and be activated by an ordinary operator if necessary.

To solve this problem, there is provided an apparatus for drying a delicate fabric comprising a drum rotatable about an axis for receiving the fabric and moving the fabric in a stream of air passing through the drum, characterized by a web rotatable with the drum for receiving the fabric during the process Drying, characterized in that the net is connected by a cable to the drum and otherwise fixable by means of at least one hook in the drum, and that the drum has a closable chamber for selectively receiving the network.

According to the invention, the apparatus described above is supplemented by at least one component which can be activated and deactivated as required by an ordinary user and which can be used to satisfactorily dry a sensitive one Textile piece causes. Preferably, this chamber is located in a driver for carrying the fabric when rotating the drum, or in a rear wall of the drum, and is provided an eyelet or the like for fixing the net in the drum in at least one other driver.

Preferably, the drum has three or four drivers.

The net is preferably designed with a diameter well below the diameter of the drum, and several hooks are provided for fixing the net in the drum to the net. Further preferably, the net has a closure, in particular a Velcro fastener or a zipper, to be able to safely enclose the delicate textile piece in it.

The device is preferably designed as a tumble dryer, in particular for use in an ordinary household.

In general, the invention discloses a particularly simple and inexpensive drying of a sensitive household for a normal. The means required for the purpose is an integral part of the device and, if its use is not required, can be stowed in the device captive and without affecting any further function of this device.

When using this device for drying a delicate piece of fabric can be used with respect to a conventional drying process reduced heating power in order not to overheat the textile, which in turn could take damage. • Fig. 1 zeigt eine Schnittansicht einer Vorrichtung zum Trocknen eines empfindlichen Textilstücks 1, welches in ein Netz 2 eingeschlossen ist. Die Vorrichtung umfasst eine um eine Achse 3 drehbare Trommel 4 mit einen zylindrischen und die Achse 3 umgebenden Mantel 5 sowie einer etwa senkrecht zur Achse 3 ausgerichteten Rückwand 6. Nicht gezeigt ist eine an den Mantel 5 anschließende und von dort zur Achse 3 weisende, kreisringförmige Vorderwand der Trommel 4, wie sie in einem herkömmlichen Wäschetrockner vorgesehen ist. Auch weitere Komponenten eines solchen Wäschetrockners, zu welchem die dargestellte Vorrichtung gehört, sind der Übersicht halber nicht gezeichnet; für einschlägige Information wird auf die zitierten Dokumente des Standes der Technik verwiesen. In der Rückwand 6 befinden sich Löcher 7, von denen vorliegend lediglich eine kleinere Anzahl erkennbar ist. Durch diese Löcher 7 tritt ein Luftstrom 8, symbolisiert durch Pfeile, in die Trommel 4 ein und beaufschlagt Waschgut, welches sich darin befindet und normalerweise durch das Rotieren der Trommel 4 um die Achse 3 zur Unterstützung der Trocknung geschüttelt wird. Um dieses Schütteln zu bewirken, sind im Inneren der Trommel 4 und an deren Mantel 5 drei Mitnehmer 9 angebracht. In dem unten links dargestellten Mitnehmer 9 befindet sich eine Kammer 10, welche mit einem Deckel 11 verschlossen ist. In dieser Kammer 10 ist das Netz 2 verstaut, wenn es nicht benötigt wird. Zum Öffnen des Deckels 11 ist dieser mit einem Griffloch 13 versehen; der Deckel 11 rastet durch herkömmliche und der Übersicht halber nicht dargestellte Rastmittel in den Mitnehmer 9 ein. Auch in der Rückwand 6 der Trommel 4 ist eine Kammer 10 als Alternative zum Verstauen des Netzes 2 vorgesehen.
• Zum Trocknen des empfindlichen Textilstücks 1 wird das Netz 2 aus der Kammer 10 entnommen und das Textilstück 1 in das Netz 2 eingeschlossen, wie im rechten Teil der Figur 1 gezeigt. Das Netz 2 ist an einem elastischen Seil 14 unverlierbar in der Kammer 10 befestigt, und dieses Seil 14 dient auch zum Fixieren des Netzes mit dem Textilstück 1 in der Trommel 4. Über weitere Seile 15 mit daran befestigten Haken 16 (nur ein Seil und
• ein Haken sind gezeigt) wird das Netz an Ösen 17 in den anderen Mitnehmern 9 fixiert und somit fest genug gehalten, um beim Rotieren der Trommel 4 während des Trocknens weitgehend synchron mit der Trommel 4 zu rotieren, ohne an die Mitnehmer 9 zu stoßen und das Textilstück 1 dadurch einem Walken oder Kneten zu unterziehen. So bleibt die zarte textile Struktur des Textilstücks 1 weitestgehend unbeansprucht, wobei durch die Bewegung des Textilstücks 1 im Luftstrom 8 aber ein effektives Trocknen erreicht wird.
• Fig. 2 zeigt eine Ansicht des Mitnehmers 9 mit herausgenommenem, noch zusammengerolltem Netz 2. gut erkennbar ist, wie das Seil 14 durch eine Ausnehmung 18 zwischen dem Mitnehmer 9 und dem Deckel 11 aus der Kammer 10 geführt ist.
• Fig. 3 zeigt Anordnung und Befestigung des Netzes 2 in der Trommel 4. Das Netz 2 ist gefüllt mit einem (hier nicht erkennbaren) Textilstück 1, und sein Verschluss 19, ob ein Klettverschluss oder Reißverschluss, ist verschlossen. Über das Seil 14 ist das Netz 2 mit dem Mitnehmer 9 links unten verbunden und somit dort gehaltert. An den beiden anderen Mitnehmern 9 ist das Netz gehaltert durch weitere Seile 15 und Haken 16, die in entsprechende Ösen 17 (vgl. Figur 1) eingreifen. So wird beim Trocknen das Textilstück 1 in Luftstrom 8 bewegt, ohne von den Mitnehmern 9 gewalkt zu werden; es resultiert ein schonendes und effektives Trocknen.

• Fig. 1 shows a sectional view of an apparatus for drying a delicate textile piece 1, which is enclosed in a network 2. The device comprises one an axis 3 rotatable drum 4 with a cylindrical and the axis 3 surrounding jacket 5 and an approximately perpendicular to the axis 3 aligned rear wall 6. Not shown is a subsequent to the jacket 5 and from there to the axis 3 facing, annular front wall of the drum 4, as provided in a conventional tumble dryer. Also, other components of such a tumble dryer, to which the device shown is not drawn for clarity; for relevant information, reference is made to the cited prior art documents. In the rear wall 6 are holes 7, of which in the present case only a smaller number can be seen. Through these holes 7 enters an air stream 8, symbolized by arrows, in the drum 4 and applied to laundry, which is located therein and is normally shaken by the rotation of the drum 4 about the axis 3 to assist the drying. To effect this shaking, 5 three drivers 9 are mounted inside the drum 4 and on the jacket. In the driver 9 shown below left is a chamber 10 which is closed by a lid 11. In this chamber 10, the network 2 is stowed when it is not needed. To open the lid 11 this is provided with a handle hole 13; the lid 11 engages by conventional and not shown for clarity locking means in the driver 9 a. Also in the rear wall 6 of the drum 4, a chamber 10 is provided as an alternative to the stowage of the network 2.
• To dry the delicate textile piece 1, the net 2 is removed from the chamber 10 and the textile piece 1 is enclosed in the net 2, as in the right part of FIG. 1 shown. The net 2 is fixedly secured to an elastic rope 14 in the chamber 10, and this rope 14 also serves to fix the net with the textile piece 1 in the drum 4. About more ropes 15 with attached hook 16 (only one rope and
• a hook are shown), the network is fixed to eyelets 17 in the other drivers 9 and thus held strong enough to rotate during rotation of the drum 4 during drying largely synchronously with the drum 4 without abutting the driver 9 and the Textile piece 1 thereby subject to a walking or kneading. Thus, the delicate textile structure of the textile piece 1 remains largely unclaimed, with the movement of the textile piece 1 in the air stream 8 but effective drying is achieved.
• Fig. 2 shows a view of the driver 9 with taken out, still rolled up network 2. well visible, as the cable 14 is guided through a recess 18 between the driver 9 and the lid 11 from the chamber 10.
• Fig. 3 shows arrangement and attachment of the network 2 in the drum 4. The net 2 is filled with a (not visible here) textile piece 1, and its closure 19, whether a Velcro or zipper, is closed. About the rope 14, the network 2 is connected to the driver 9 bottom left and thus held there. At the other two drivers 9, the network is supported by further ropes 15 and hook 16, which in corresponding eyelets 17 (see. FIG. 1 ) intervene. Thus, when drying the textile piece 1 is moved in the air stream 8 without being drummed by the dogs 9; it results in a gentle and effective drying.

The presently presented device for drying a delicate textile piece and the dryer having this device provide an easy to bewerkstelligende, gentle and effective drying for sensitive textile pieces and for a wide circle of users. All aids required for drying such textiles are included in the device.

Claims (8)

1. Device for drying a sensitive piece of textile (1), comprising a drum (4), which is rotatable about an axis (3), for receiving the textile piece (1) and moving the textile piece (1) in an air flow (8) passing through the drum (4), characterised by a net (2), which is rotatable with the drum, for receiving the textile piece (1) during the drying, characterised in that the net (2) is connected with the drum (5) by way of a cable (14) and is otherwise fixable by means of at least one hook (16) in the drum (4) and that the drum (4) has a closable chamber (10) for selectable reception of the net (2).
2. Device according to claim 1, in which the chamber (10) is located in an entrainer (9) of the drum (4).
3. Device according to claim 1, in which the chamber (10) is located in a rear wall (6) of the drum (4).
4. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the drum (4) has at least one eye (17) for fixing the net (2) by means of a hook (16).
5. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the drum (4) has three or four entrainers (9).
6. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the net (2) has a diameter which lies significantly below a diameter of the drum (4).
7. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, in which the net (2) has a closure (19) for confining the textile piece (1).
8. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, which is constructed as a laundry drier.
