Abstract

The invention relates to a package for containing smokable articles, in particular cigarettes.

It is the object of the invention to provide a cigarette pack which overcomes the above-described problems of the prior art.

This object is achieved by a cigarette pack according to claim 1. The subclaims define preferred embodiments of the invention.

The cigarette packet according to the invention has on at least one side surface of the package body at least one board, which extends in the closed package over an imaginary line connecting the joint and the front lid lower edge. This connecting line is formed by connecting in a side view of the cigarette pack, the joint on the rear surface of the cigarette pack with the lower lid edge or packaging body upper edge at the front of the cigarette pack.

According to the invention, when the cigarette packet is closed, the board runs into or is inserted in a receptacle which is matched to it or a corresponding receptacle, wherein the board serves to hold the lid in a closed position and thus prevent unintentional opening of the cigarette packet. Thus, one or both side surfaces of the board may be configured as friction surfaces that slide or rub along the frame and / or side surface of the cigarette pack. Since the friction surfaces of the board according to the invention are substantially larger than the friction surfaces of the frames of the cigarette packages known from the prior art, an independent opening of the lid is more effectively prevented by the greater frictional engagement generated, as is the case in the prior art. 16. The cigarette packet according to any one of claims 1 to 14, wherein the lower and/or upper edge of the at least one protrusion (201a, 201b) exhibits a curved shape, in particular a corrugated shape, in a side projection.

The cigarette packet according to any one of claims 5 to 16, wherein in a side projection, the at least one protrusion (201a, 201b) formed on the lid (5) overlaps with the side area (111a, 111b) of the frame (102) assigned to it, up to an opening angle of the lid of at least 115°, in particular up to at least 150° and specifically up to at least 175°.
