Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a can-shaped container for a packaged product with a lower part and a bottom closing the box or cup-shaped lid, wherein the bottom of the lid forms the front wall of the container and the side walls of the lid cover the adjacent edge portions of the lower part on the outside.

Such, for example made of sheet metal containers are used for a variety of packaging goods. Frequently such containers serve, after the intended use of their contents (eg biscuits) for the storage of other objects (for example game figures of a game, etc.). This is especially true if the respective containers are designed by their shape and / or color design so that they may remain as ornamental or furnishing objects in an apartment and may appear decorative in connection with other objects.

The invention has for its object to provide a container of the type mentioned above, which allows a very decorative design in a simple manner both in its intended use as well as in its subsequent subsequent use, without this being its primary protective function is limited.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. Further, particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention disclose the dependent claims.

The invention is based essentially on the idea of designing the lid of the container made of cardboard, plastic, wood or sheet metal as a viewing device, the lid having at least one viewing opening for a display object arranged inside the container. Possibly. the viewing opening of the lid is closed by an optically transparent cover. In this case, a boundary wall is arranged at a predetermined distance from the bottom of the lid, which separates the packaged goods from the viewing device and is formed by the bottom of a box-shaped or cup-shaped insert. Incidentally, the insert has side wall portions which rest on the inside on side walls of the lid and possibly extend to the bottom of the lid and are supported thereon, and the display object is arranged in at least one plane in front of the boundary wall.

The insert can be designed to be interchangeable in particular and to be mounted (held) in the cover in a positive and / or non-positive manner.

The object of the show can be designed very differently. Thus, it is possible that the show object has a relation to the packaged goods; or it can only have a decorative character.

The object of the show may be attached directly or via spacers to the boundary wall or to the inside of the lid. With the above proposals to form the lid in a special way as a viewing device, the invention will undoubtedly take a new route for cans. Such a proposal, which was directed at a lid, did not exist until the filing date.

This proposal has not come close, because the lid in cans is of particular importance and interventions and changes to the lid not exactly advisable. Thus, the box appears rather as a disabled or at least a very problematic object for a transformation.

Nevertheless, the present invention has set itself the goal of developing a can. She has come to a surprisingly simple solution, which she has managed to leave the previous closing function completely unaffected and still open a great deal of leeway for a more advantageous perception (up to a spatial impression).

In document GB 20 40 864 A a container according to the preamble of claim 1 is disclosed. As far as the GB 20 40 864 A already a container closure has become known with a storage space, this refers to a different type of container, has a different purpose and includes features that can not be used without inventive step for another solution.

Namely, that document discloses a container in the sense of a vessel (canister or the like) having a tapered (mouthpiece) filling or pouring area. This can be closed by means of a stopper or plug. Naturally, the stopper presses against the insides of the mouthpiece and thus seals the vessel.

The proposal of that document ultimately aims to use a hollowed plug in order to be able to provide a small addition to the actual content of the vessel, which should stimulate the sale. The addition should be externally recognizable. The purpose is fulfilled when the addition is taken from the receiver of the vessel.

After a removal, the features of that document appear inappropriate, even meaningless and useless. The closing function of the plug is in fact cumbersome to complicated by the proposed embodiment and loses efficiency. A hollow plug is neither easy to manipulate nor permanently press firmly into a mouthpiece.

The necessary cap is to be brought into engagement with both the plug and with the vessel. As a result, such a closure can not be handled as a whole. So it must be disassembled when opening and assembled when closing from its individual parts (plug and cap).

Such makes it difficult to open and close and is therefore usually only for a single operation into consideration. This circumstance speaks even against further use of such vessels as storage containers for other objects or as a decorative piece of furniture.

The invention claimed here is not even from such a vessel, which can be closed by means of plugs, which in practice regularly results in a vessel with a narrow-mouthed mouthpiece. Such a vessel is not up for debate, but rather a container of a different kind, namely a can or a can-shaped container.

It is characteristic of a can that it has a particularly large opening, which is typically not closable by means of a stopper but a lid. In contrast to a plug, a lid is an attachment which engages over a container and seals on the outside.

It is also typical for cans that they should be suitable for frequent, safe and comfortable opening and closing. Not least of all, they are also suitable for further use. The present invention discloses technical design proposals which are suitable for increasing the incentive for reuse.

The viewing opening 7 of the lid 3 is here closed for protection against external influences by an optically transparent cover 9 (for example Plexiglas).

1. Container for a packaged product with a lower part (2) and a lid (3) closing the lower part (2), wherein the base (4) of the lid (3) forms the front wall of the container (1) and the side walls (5) of the lid (3) cover the adjacent edge regions (6) of the lower part (2) on the outside, and wherein a limiting wall (10) is arranged at a predetermined spacing from the base (4) of the lid (3), characterised in that the container is box-shaped and the lid is case-shaped or pot-shaped, the lid (3) is configured as a viewing device and has at least one inspection opening (7) for a display item (8) arranged within the container (1), the inspection opening (7) of the lid (3) is optionally closed by an optically transparent cover (9), the limiting wall separates the viewing device from the packaged product, the limiting wall (10) is formed by the base of a case-shaped or pot-shaped insert (13), the insert (13) has side wall regions (14), which rest on side walls (5) of the lid (3) on the inside and optionally extend to the base (4) of the lid (3) and are supported thereon, and the display object (8) is arranged in at least one plane in front of the limiting wall (10).
