Abstract

Eine Vorrichtung zum Kühlen oder Heizen von Schüttgut hat einen am oberen Ende von Wärmetauscherrohren (7) angeordneten Schüttgut-Eintragsabschnitt (1) zur Zuführung von Schüttgut (20) in die Rohre (7). Am unteren Ende der Wärmetauscherrohre (7) ist ein Schüttgut-Austragsabschnitt (3) angeordnet. Wärmefluid wird an den Rohren (7) vorbei durch ein Gehäuse (5) geführt. Im Gegenstrom zum Schüttgutstrom von einer Zuführleitung (28), die in den Austragsabschnitt (3) einmündet, über die Rohre (7) hin zu einer Abführleitung (34), die aus dem Eintragsabschnitt (1) ausmündet, wird ein Wärmeträger-Gas geführt. Eine Gas-Zuführeinrichtung (29) für das Wärmeträger-Gas ist zur Bereitstellung einer derart großen Gasmenge ausgeführt, dass das Wärmeträger-Gas in den Rohren (7) eine Leerrohrgasgeschwindigkeit hat, die im Bereich zwischen 20 % und 200 % einer kritischen Leerrohrgasgeschwindigkeit liegt. Bei einer alternativen Kühl- oder Heizvorrichtung ist die Gas-Zuführeinrichtung (29) so ausgeführt, dass das Gas in den Rohren (7) eine Leerrohrgasgeschwindigkeit im Bereich zwischen 0,2 und 2,0 m/s hat. Es resultiert in beiden Fällen eine Schüttgut-Kühl- oder Heizvorrichtung, bei der der Wärmeübergang vom Schüttgut auf das Wärmeträgerfluid verbessert ist.
