Abstract

Eine Vorrichtung zum Trocknen von Gegenständen (2), insbesondere von lackierten Fahrzeugkarosserien, umfasst in bekannter Weise einen Trockentunnel (6), dessen Innenraum mit einer Inertgasatmosphäre gefüllt ist und der mindestens eine Heizeinrichtung zum Erwärmen der Inertgasatmosphäre aufweist. Eine UV-Bestrahlungskammer (7) ist dem Trockentunnel (6) nachgeschaltet und enthält ebenfalls eine Inertgasatmosphäre. Die Gegenstände können in der UV-Bestrahlungskammer (7) mittels mindestens einer UV-Lampe (8, 9) bestrahlt werden, die zur Abfuhr ihrer Wärmeleistung eine mit einem Kühlmedium arbeitende Kühleinrichtung aufweist. Die zu trocknenden Gegenstände (2) werden mittels eines Fördersystems durch den Trockentunnel (6) und die UV-Bestrahlungskammer (7) hindurchgeführt. Zur effektiven Energieausnutzung ist das Kühlmedium der UV-Lampe (8, 9) zum Trockentunnel (6) zurückführbar und wärmemäßig an die darin herrschende Inertgasatmosphäre so ankoppelbar, dass die von der UV-Lampe (8, 9) erzeugte Wärme teilweise zur Erwärmung der Inertgasatmosphäre im Trockentunnel (6) beiträgt.

A UV irradiation chamber (7) is connected downstream of the drying tunnel (6) and also contains an inert gas atmosphere. The objects can be irradiated in the UV irradiation chamber (7) by means of at least one UV lamp (8, 9), which has a cooling device operating with a cooling medium to dissipate its heat output. The objects to be dried (2) are passed through the drying tunnel (6) and the UV irradiation chamber (7) by means of a conveyor system. For effective energy utilization, the cooling medium of the UV lamp (8, 9) to the drying tunnel (6) traceable and thermally coupled to the prevailing inert gas atmosphere so that the heat generated by the UV lamp (8, 9) partially for heating the inert gas atmosphere in the drying tunnel (6) contributes.
