  8. A composite profile member according to one of claims 1 to 7 characterised in that the cover bar (7) in cross-section is of a curved shape facing towards the profile member (1, 2).
  9. A composite profile member according to one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that at its side facing towards the cover bar (7) the carrier strip (6) is covered with a strip of material (11) which preferably foams up when heated.
  10. A composite profile member according to claim 9 characterised in that the cover bar (7) is held in contact against the material (11) to be foamed up.
  11. A composite profile member according to claim 9 or claim 10 characterised in that the chamber (12) formed by the two carrier strips (6), preferably the wall of the insulating bar (3), is covered with material (11) to be foamed up.
  12. A composite profile member according to one of claims 1 to 11 characterised in that the chamber (12) formed by the two carrier strips (6) and the insulating bar (3) is provided with a cover strip (13) connected to the carrier bars (6).
  13. A composite profile member according to claim 12, in particular for use on the fixed frame and in the door leaf rabbet, characterised in that the cover strip (13) together with the cover bars (7) form a flush termination with the profile members (1, 2).
