Hierzu sind Transporteinheiten mit Holzpaletten bekannt, wobei an den Schmalseiten oder den Längsseiten dieser Holzpaletten nach oben stehende Sperrholzplatten mit Abstand zueinander befestigt werden, die als Stützwangen für die Wickel dienen. Diese im Wesentlichen quadratisch ausgebildeten Sperrholzplatten weisen eine in der Regel kreisrunde Öffnung bzw. Stecköffnung auf. Zwischen diesen beiden quadratischen Sperrholzplatten wird daraufhin der Wickel axial derart angeordnet, dass die Enden seines rollenartigen Wickelkern mit den Öffnungen in den Sperrholzplatten in Überdeckung kommen, und durch von außen her durch die Öffnungen der Sperrholzplatten hindurch geführte Haltehülsen für die Rollen gehalten werden. Der Wickel ist somit durch die Sperrholzplatten an seinen beiden axialen Enden in axialer Richtung und durch die in seinen Wickelkern eingreifenden Hülsen in radialer Richtung gesichert.
