  • constant damping between the bogie and the vehicle under frame is maintained in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. In the event that relative vertical movement between the bogie and the vehicle under frame reaches a predetermined level then the wedges 20 will contact the stops 14 preventing any further vertical movement.
  • the upper component 16 can move away from the horizontal orientation by differential vertical compression of the springs 15, whilst maintaining the wedges 20 in vertical contact with the wall 13, so as to accommodate tilt of the vehicle caused by the rails.
  • Figure 6 illustrates an alternative embodiment wherein the guide means is constituted by a shoe 23 resiliently mounted on a fixed upstanding abutment 24.
  • the shoe 23 may be in the form of a ring with at least two longitudinal disposed opposed resilient mountings 25 or there may be a pair of shoes 23, one for each wedge element 20.
  • the shoe 23 is C shaped in section and the upright part 26 of the C provides the vertical guide surface 27 which is engaged by the vertical surface 22 of the respective wedge 20.
  • the arrangement functions exactly as in the previous embodiment.
  • the resilient mounting or mountings 25 will allow sufficient longitudinal movement of the shoe or shoes 23 to provide a progressive transition to break out, thus avoiding a sudden jolt. It will be noted that the vertical frictional engagement between the wedges 20 and shoes 23 will be maintained throughout.
  • the or each resilient mounting 25 is mounted on the fixed abutment 24, so as to define a gap 29 between the legs 30 of the shoe 23 and the abutment 28.

Claims (7)

  1. Gleitstück (10) für ein Eisenbahn-Drehgestell (12) mit einer Längsachse, das eine untere Komponente (11) zur Anbringung des Drehgestells (12) und eine obere Komponente (16) aufweist, die eine Reibungslagerplatte (17) zur Aufnahme eines Teils eines Fahrzeugs trägt, das auf dem Drehgestell abgestützt ist und ein Paar divergierender unterer Oberflächen (19) aufweist sowie ein Lager (13, 15, 20, 22 / 23, 24, 25, 30) zur Lagerung der oberen Komponente (16) auf der unteren Komponente (11) zwecks relativer Vertikalbewegung, wobei das Lager mit ersten und zweiten Elementen (20) versehen ist, die entsprechende geneigte Oberflächen (21) zur Aufnahme der entsprechenden genannten unteren Oberflächen (19) der oberen Komponente (16) besitzen sowie eine Federvorrichtung (15) zur Abstützung der ersten und zweiten Elemente (20) und eine Führungsvorrichtung (13/23) zur Führung der ersten und zweiten Elemente (20) bei vertikaler Bewegung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die ersten und zweiten Elemente (20) durch eine vertikale Abwärtsbewegung der oberen Komponente (16) waagerecht trennbar sind, um sie dadurch gegen die Führungsvorrichtung (13 / 23) zu drücken, um eine im wesentlichen konstante, senkrechte Dämpfungskraft zwischen den ersten und zweiten Elementen (20) und der Führungsvorrichtung (13 / 23) zu erzeugen.
  2. Gleitstück nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die obere Komponente (16) ein Paar erste Oberflächen aufweist, die sich in entgegengesetzte Längsrichtungen erstrecken, und daß die Federvorrichtung (15) mit einem Paar Federn (15) versehen ist sowie einem Element für jede erste Oberfläche, das auf einer entsprechenden Feder gelagert ist.
  3. Gleitstück nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Führungsvorrichtung eine oder mehrere auf der unteren Komponenten (11) stehende Wände (13) aufweist.
  4. Gleitstück nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Führungsvorrichtung wenigstens einen federnd gelagerten Schuh (23) aufweist.
  5. Gleitstück nach Anspruch 4, gekennzeichnet durch einen in Längsrichtung federnd gelagerten Schuh (23) für jedes der ersten und zweiten Elemente.
  6. Gleitstück nach Anspruch 4 oder 5, ferner gekennzeichnet durch einen Anschlag für den oder jeden Schuh zur Begrenzung der Längsbewegung des Schuhs.
  7. Gleitstück nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das erste oder zweite Element oder jedes Element die Form eines Keils hat.
