Dem Prinzip der Erfindung folgend ist die lösbare Befestigung der Messerhalterung an den Rotorscheiben vermittels Schraubenbolzen vorgesehen, wobei die Rotorscheibe wenigstens eine Durchtrittsbohrung zur Aufnahme einer Befestigungsschraube aufweist, welche in eine im wesentlichen in achsialer Richtung des Rotors am Randbereich der Messerhalterung angeordnete Gewindebohrung eingreift. Hierbei kann des weiteren vorgesehen sein, dass die Messerhalterung dergestalt kraftschlüssig oder formschlüssig mit einem in der Rotorscheibe ausgebildeten Sitz in Kontakt steht bzw. wenigstens mit oder an dem Sitz anliegt oder aufgenommen ist, dass zumindest solche quer zur Scheibenebene auf die Messer wirkenden Schnittkräfte von dem Sitz aufgenommen werden.The inventive tool for comminuting wood is characterized in that the knife holder is releasably secured to the rotor disks of the rotary-driven knife rotor by means of a fastening means.
