Description

The invention relates to a functional vest for carrying objects.

In a variety of applications, for example, in military use, it is necessary to carry numerous items that must be available individually quickly so that they can not be carried in a backpack. For this purpose, functional vests are known, which consist essentially of the upper body and the shoulders wrap around belt, which are connected to each other in different ways. The invention has for its object to provide a functional vest for carrying objects, which allows the wearing of different objects with high comfort.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

Because the vest according to the invention consists of a knitted, elastically yielding base material, a high level of wearing comfort is achieved since the vest adapts movements of the person wearing it casually. The fact that the reinforcing strip forming yarns are incorporated in the base material already during its production ensures that the extensibility of the vest in its circumferential direction is greater than in the direction of the reinforcing strips, so that high loads can be attached to the reinforcing strips.

The subclaims are directed to advantageous embodiments and developments of the functional vest according to the invention.

The textile base material is preferably knitted material, that is to say material which is produced industrially from thread systems by knitting on knitting machines, using both knit knitwear (it is worked with only one thread) and warp knit fabric (knitted with many threads) can. Such hosiery have the advantage that they are elastically yielding, so that a high level of comfort is achieved. The disadvantage that they are also yielding in the vertical direction is inventively remedied by the fact that in the functional vest reinforcing strips 22 are integrated, which consist of a non-extensible or hardly stretchable, tear-resistant material.

The reinforcing strips 22 can be inserted directly into the knitting machine during the production of the base material of the functional waistcoat 10 or subsequently be firmly connected to the base material. Advantageously, at least some of the reinforcing strips 22 extend from the front wall over the shoulder report 20 to over at least part of the rear wall, so that vertically downwardly directed forces introduced into the reinforcing strips 22 are transmitted directly to the shoulder regions 20 and there from the functional waistcoat 10 carrying person. Claims (8)

1. Functional vest for carrying objects, comprising a waistcoat body made from textile material having an opening for the neck (14) and openings for arms (18) provided on either sides of the opening for the neck and having reinforcing strips (22) attached to the waistcoat body which are resistive with respect to an elongation and positioned orthogonal to the waistcoat's peripheral direction extending parallel to a link between the openings for arms (18),
   characterized in that
   the textile material is a knitted elastically flexible base material into which yarns forming the reinforcing strips (22) are incorporated during the process of knitting the base material.
2. Functional vest according to claim 1, characterized in that the yarns forming the reinforcing strips (22) are incorporated into the base material during the process of knitting such that they are provided in the knitted material in straight form in their incorporated state.
3. Functional vest according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the base material consists of textured polyester yarn or cotton yarn, and the yarn forming the reinforcing strips consists of high-strength firm polyester, polyamide or polypropylene.
4. Functional vest according to any of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that at least one of the reinforcing strips (22) extends from one of the front sides of the vest across a shoulder area (20) of the vest positioned between one of openings for arms (18) and the opening for the neck (14).
5. Functional vest according to any of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that at least one of the rims of the openings for arms (18) or the opening for the neck (14) is reinforced and a reinforcing strip (22) extends from the reinforced rim.
6. Functional vest according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the reinforcing strips (22) are provided with openings (24).
7. Functional vest according to any of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the reinforcing strips have at least one sealable opening which forms the rim of a pocket connected with the reinforcing band.
8. Functional vest according to any of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that at least one electric conductor (26) is integrated in the reinforcing strips.
