Abstract

L'invention a pour objet un projectile incorporant un générateur d'éclats (1) comprenant une enveloppe perforante (2) renfermant un matériau élargisseur (3) capable sous la pression due à la perforation d'accélérer radialement le matériau de l'enveloppe (2), l'enveloppe perforante (2) étant fermée à sa partie avant par un piston (4) solidaire de l'enveloppe (2), piston comportant une face arrière (5) appliquée contre le matériau élargisseur (3) et une partie externe à l'enveloppe qui porte une surface partiellement sphérique (6). Ce projectile est caractérisé en ce que le générateur d'éclats (1) est sous calibré et disposé à l'intérieur d'un corps (13) de projectile (8), le générateur d'éclats (1) étant rendu solidaire du corps de projectile par un moyen de liaison, le corps (13) de projectile comportant des amorces de rupture (23) ou des fragilisations longitudinales favorisant son ouverture à l'impact sur une cible et la libération du générateur d'éclats (1).
