- This device comprises an intermediate assembly comprising a resilient locking element and a metal element concentric with the elastic locking element, this intermediate assembly being forcibly engaged in the lower part of the middle part of the watch and the bottom being fixed by screwing on the metallic element so that, when the bottom is completely screwed onto the metal element, this metal element can be pivoted by sliding on the elastic locking element to a stop point from which the elastic element of blocking can rotate in turn by sliding on the middle of the watch, this to adjust the alignment of the bottom with respect to the vertical axis 12h-6h of the watch.
- the solution briefly described above has the merit of providing an initial answer to the problem of the alignment of the bottom of a watch case with respect to the axis 12h-6h of the latter. In particular, it ensures that the bottom will always be properly aligned regardless of the machining characteristics of said bottom and middle part.
- this solution involves a large number of parts and requires the use of a pin driven into the middle and forming a stop that can be feared that it is not sufficiently strong.

- the present invention relates to a device for fixing a bottom to a middle part of a watch case, characterized in that it comprises an intermediate element to which the bottom is connected, this intermediate element being screwed on the middle part of the watch, means being provided to allow the bottom to drive the intermediate element in rotation until the latter arrives in the locking position on the middle part, the bottom being furthermore capable of being pivoted relative to the intermediate element without it unscrews for alignment with the axis 12h-6h of the watch. Thanks to these features, the present invention provides a device for fixing a bottom on a middle part of a watch case whose small number of parts makes its easy assembly and extremely reliable operation.
- the bottom comprises an oblong arcuate groove in which is housed a drive member which is free to move and cooperates with a stop provided on the intermediate element to drive the latter in rotation until it arrives in blocking position on the middle part.
- the drive part and the stop provided on the intermediate element are extremely resistant, so that any risk of this part or this abutment deteriorating is avoided.

- This torque is determined by the seal 14 disposed between the bottom 1 and the middle part 12. It is estimated that a compression ratio of the seal 14 of at least 10% is necessary to achieve the required objectives. It will be noted that the friction torque can be adjusted at will according to the type of construction envisaged.

- the connecting element 8 is in the form of a ring 46 driven between the annular flange 16 of the bottom 1 and the intermediate element 10. More specifically, the ring 46 bears on an annular shoulder 48 formed on the inner periphery of the intermediate element 10 and itself has on its inner periphery an inclined plane 50 which cooperates with a corresponding inclined plane 52 formed on the outer periphery of the flange 16 and which allows the axial coupling between the bottom 1 and the intermediate element 10 by corner effect.
