Description

The present invention relates to a housing for electrical equipment intended to be placed in a hole made in a drywall, including plaster.

The state of the art discloses a drywall switchgear, of the type comprising a bottom and a cylindrical flanged skirt, and a housing retainer for retaining the housing in a hole in the partition. dried.

In primitive versions of such a housing, known for example from the documents US 3,848,764 , GB 2 211 364 and FR 2,717,322 , the retaining device may comprise two axially fixed lugs which protrude laterally from the skirt and which are elastically retractable towards the inside of the casing for the introduction of the casing into the hole by means of an inclined ramp formed on the back of the lugs. Once introduced, the housing is locked between the legs and the rim of the skirt. This housing is only suitable for one wall thickness.

In an improved version of such a package marketed by the Applicant, the retaining device consists of two tabs or claws protruding from the skirt of the housing and are axially movable by screws through them. The tightening of the screws makes it possible to tighten the tabs at the rear of the drywall, at the edge of the hole where the casing is arranged and in front of which it is retained by a rim (entirely peripheral or only partially). This housing is generally satisfactory. However, although the vast majority of drywall is thin, that is to say generally of between 10 and 13 mm thick, it must also be able to adapt to thicker partitions; the maximum spacing between the tabs and the rim must therefore be very large, which involves using mounting screws very long legs: the price of these screws is increased, as well as the time of assembly and screwing. Moreover, the risk exists that in case of total unscrewing of the screws, the tab is detached and lost irreparably (for example, between the two walls of a hollow partition, or above a false ceiling , naturally inaccessible), resulting in the obligation to change the case.

As on the other hand, these long screws can not be disassembled, they can not be used for fixing an electrical equipment in the housing, which fixation therefore requires to generally provide two other screws in the prefabricated housing. It is thus a total of four screws, or even eight screws for the double boxes, which must be assembled in advance on the prefabricated boxes; in addition to the cost of the screws itself, the installation of these screws in the assembly machine strike the manufacturing price, because it requires an automatic screwdriver by screw. Finally, the presence of these four screws in the housing encroaches on the internal volume available for the electrical equipment.

Pour remédier à ces inconvénients, la Demanderesse a déjà proposé la boîte faisant l'objet du brevet FR 2 766 025 .To remedy these drawbacks, the Applicant has already proposed the box that is the subject of the patent. FR 2 766 025 .

In addition, the document EP 0 293 614 discloses a housing having the features set forth in the preamble of appended claim 1. According to this document, the counter-support is fixed by its own screws to the housing, and nothing then allows to adjust the exact orientation of the appliance plate relative to the housing, which must also use two other screws.

The object of the invention is to provide a new housing design for easier manufacturing and especially easier to set up for assemblers.

The invention achieves its goal through a housing for electrical equipment having all the features of claim 1 attached. Thanks to these arrangements, the housing of the invention can be manufactured quite simply and be mounted in the hole of the drywall by giving the lateral counter-support the appropriate axial position to ensure, at the end of the assembly, a exact positioning of the housing in the hole. Preferably, the support and the counter-support are first maintained at a spacing greater than the wall thickness, so that the housing can rotate in the hole, which allows to place the ducts more easily in the housing. The passage from one axial position to another is done using the same screws that serve to fix the appliance plate in the housing. Because the screw holes are formed in a rotating ring axially locked in the cylindrical skirt of the housing but free in rotation, we can arrange the equipment plate in the desired final orientation even if the housing has not been placed itself in the correct orientation, and always with the same screws (usually two screws) mounting. The rotating ring is advantageously a split ring retained by complementary reliefs formed on the inner wall of the skirt near its upper edge. Advantageously, the screw holes are formed obliquely, so that the screwing of the screws causes the clamping of the split ring against its housing in the body of the housing and thus its locking in rotation.

Advantageously, said plurality of axial positions are limited by two stops, one of which may, for example, be constituted by the tabs themselves and the other by complementary reliefs provided on the housing and against the support.

Advantageously, the counter-support is in the form of a flange sliding axially on the edge of the skirt between the two stops.

In known manner, the support lugs are formed, preferably by molding, in one piece with the wall of the housing, forming a flexible tongue for retraction of the legs.

Advantageously, the tabs have an inner thrust surface in the form of a ramp leading to a bearing portion.

At least two diametrically opposed tabs are provided for the equilibrium of the binding, or three or four equidistributed legs.

The box member 3 comprises a circular bottom 31 and a cylindrical skirt 32 terminating at its upper edge opposite the bottom 31 by a radially outer peripheral lip 33 interrupted on segments 34. In the cylindrical skirt 32 are formed two radially opposite tabs. comprising a flexible tongue 35 attached towards the bottom of the box 3 and terminated by two radial flat supports 36 supported by ramp brackets 37. The inner face of the box 3 comprises, near the upper edge of the skirt 3, a circular groove 38. In a manner known per se but not shown, there are provided duct entrances in the skirt 32 and the bottom 31, these inlets being preferably in the form of pre-cut lids and attached by bridges of material breakable by the user. at the time of setting up the box.

The rotating ring 2 is a ring split at 21 and having an outer peripheral rib 22 whose dimensions allow it to engage with a slight clearance in the inner circular groove 38 of the box 3, so as to be able to freely rotate therein ( with more or less friction). Two radially opposite thickenings 23 form inside the ring 2 candles in which are provided the holes 24 for screwing screw 5 attachment apparatus. The holes 24 are oriented slightly obliquely so that the screws 5 which screw themselves are themselves inclined (see Figure 3), the heads of the screws 5 being more radially outwardly away from the center of the box than the bottom of their threaded rod.

The flange 4 is essentially formed of a flat circular flange 41 at the top of a short skirt 42 bordered at its bottom by a lip continuous inner 43. The skirt 42 has, visible from the inside, alternations of thin portions 44 and thicker portions 45, the length taken along the circumference substantially corresponds to that of the lip segments 33 and interruptions 34 on the box 3. On the outside of the skirt 42, inclined vertical projections 46 serve to ensure a better grip of the flange in the hole of the partition by opposing its rotation relative to the hole.

The rotating ring 2 is introduced from above, thanks to its slot, inside the box 2 where its rib 22 is housed in the groove 38, which blocks the ring 2 in axial sliding but does not prevents the rotation of the box 2. The flange 4 is passed downwards on the outside of the skirt 32: the tabs, attacked on their ramps 37 by the flange 4, retract towards the inside of the skirt. the box thanks to the elastic flexibility of the tongue 35 and thus let the flange pass beyond the tabs, but the supports 36 prohibit the return of the flange 4 down. The thick parts 45 of the flange engage in the bare intervals 34 of the box, so that the flange 4 is locked in rotation relative to the box but is free to slide vertically relative to it, thanks to the cooperation thick portions 45 and lip segments 33. This vertical sliding is limited downwards by the supports 36 of the tabs as seen and upwards by the abutment formed by the lips 43 against the lips 33.

Les figures 3 à 7 permettent de suivre les phases d'insertion et de fixation du boîtier 1 conforme à l'invention dans le trou 16 pratiqué dans une cloison sèche 15.FIGS. 3 to 7 make it possible to follow the phases of insertion and fixing of the casing 1 according to the invention in the hole 16 made in a drywall 15.

The housing 1, assembled and provided with its two screws 5 partially screwed into the holes 24, is introduced into the hole 16 (Figure 3) from above. By pressing the casing, the tabs 36 carry their ramp 37 on the walls of the hole 16, and they retract inwards (Figure 4) by bearing on the walls of the hole 16. The flat edge 41 of the flange 4 then abuts against the upper face of the partition 15, at the periphery of the hole 16. Given the possible axial sliding between the flange 4 and the box 3, we can continue to drive the box 3 vertically, so that (Figure 5) the tabs 36 pass beyond the hole 16 of the drywall 15 and return to their normal shape (this naturally depends on the thickness of the dry wall), the box 3 ending its vertical stroke by the abutment of the lips 33 against the lips 43. It is then put in place the appliance plate 6 in the passing through appropriate lights on the standby screws 5, the plate 6 resting on the flat edge 41 and screwing starts the screws 5 (Figure 6) in the candles 23, until the heads of the screws 5 are brought against the appliance plate 6. Continuing then the screwing screws 5 (Figure 7), because the screw heads are in axial abutment on the plate 6, the approximation which is continued between the screw heads and the screwing candles 23 of the ring 2 causes the axial rise of said ring 2 and therefore, since they are axially linked, that of the box 3 which slides for this purpose in the flange 4, axially fixed. The clamping can thus continue until the tab supports 36 abut against the underside of the wall 15, in the vicinity of the hole 16, which has the effect of permanently fixing the housing 3 relative to the hole 16 At the same time, as the screws 5 are screwed, given their obliquity, the forced axial lift of the ring 2 has the effect of slightly spreading the candles 23 radially, to follow the screw, this which therefore pushes and presses the rib 22 of the ring 2 at the bottom of the retaining groove 38 of the box 3 and thus blocks the ring 2 in rotation, thus definitively fixing the angular position of the apparatus plate 6 even before it is fixed by its clamping against the edge 41 of the flange 4. Thus, according to the invention, there is obtained a housing without which the screws are few and ensure both the attachment of the flange of against-support, Fixing the appliance plate, and fixing it n in rotation of the rotating ring, the screws not being integral in rotation with said collar.
