Description

The invention relates to a furniture panel having at least one bevelled edge, which has a cover strip formed by a profile part, wherein the Abdeckleiste- viewed in cross section - in the region of a first surface of the furniture panel has an angled edge portion of a first leg, which in one in the first Surface molded, running parallel to the edge groove of the furniture panel is used, wherein the preferably flat edge portion of the cover strip spans an obtuse angle with the first surface.

From the JP 05-018162A a decorative plate for a furniture is known, which has a bevelled edge with a glued cover strip.

The US 4,336,294 describes a coated wood panel for furniture, wherein the plate has a profile edge on a bevelled edge.

The EP 0 790 020 A1 discloses a furniture panel with a beveled edge, which has a covering strip formed by a profile part. In one embodiment, the cover strip has an angled from a flat edge portion first leg, which is insertable in a molded-in groove in the first surface of the furniture panel.

The DE 20 31 120 A1 describes a showcase with sliding door, which has at least one furniture panel with beveled edge, which is covered by an open profile forming cover strip. The open profile forms the track for a sliding door.

The US 1,999,436 A shows a furniture panel with chamfered edge, which has a cover strip with a bent edge of a flat edge portion.

Chamfered edges on furniture are sometimes used to achieve a certain visual appearance. The disadvantage is that conventional cover strips can not or only partially be used. Glued and sharp-edged end strips have the further disadvantage that they have a relatively short life and represent a significant risk of injury to the user.

The object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to realize a durable and user-friendly furniture panel with bevelled edges.

According to the invention this is achieved in that in the molded groove a groove profile open to the first surface is used, and wherein the first leg of the cover strip projects into the groove profile.

The obtuse angle offers several advantages. First, the risk of damage to the furniture and the risk of injury to the user is significantly reduced. On the other hand, the beveled edge can be machined particularly easily with an obtuse angle and, in addition, offers the advantage that the cover strip is reliably connected along the bevelled edge to the furniture panel due to the relatively large contact surface. Compared to known furniture panel with cover strips therefore the effort to create a secure connection between the cover and the furniture panel is much lower.

It can be provided that the first leg spans approximately a right angle with the first surface.

The open groove profile preferably has an asymmetrical cross section, wherein the opposite outer legs of the groove profile may have a different height. It is particularly advantageous if the leg adjacent to the cover profile is designed to be the shortest. This makes it possible to insert the first leg of the cover strip into the groove profile in a shape-retaining manner, wherein the cover strip terminates flush with the surface of the decorative plate.

The open groove profile, which is preferably substantially U-shaped or W-shaped, may be formed by a rear wall profile or a track profile for a sliding door. In order to enable a seal, in particular with respect to the rear wall, it is particularly advantageous if the cover strip in the region of the first leg has a sealing lip, wherein preferably the sealing lip with the first leg at an angle of about 30 ° to 60 °, preferably 45 ° ,

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cover strip spans an acute angle with a second surface of the furniture panel facing away from the groove, wherein preferably the cover strip has a second leg in the region of the second surface and wherein the second leg preferably has an edge rounding with a defined radius formed. By rounding the risk of damage to the cover and the furniture panel is reduced and minimizes the risk of injury to the user. In addition, a pleasing visual appearance can be achieved.

In a further embodiment of the invention it can be provided that the second leg connects to the second surface, wherein preferably between the second leg and the second surface, a filling bar is arranged. The filling bar allows a clean finish and increases the strength of the furniture panel.

A furniture panel 1 has at least one bevelled edge 2, which is provided with a cover strip 3. Subsequent to the cover strip 3, a groove 4 is formed in the first surface 1a of the furniture panel 1, in which a subsequent to a flat edge portion 3a of the cover strip 3 first leg 5 of the cover strip 3 is inserted. The edge region 3a encloses an obtuse angle δ with the first surface 1a. The first leg 5 and the first surface 1a form a right angle γ. In the in the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 illustrated embodiment, an open U-shaped or ω-shaped profile is inserted into the groove 4. The groove profile 6 can be configured as a rear wall profile 6a or as a rail profile 6b for a sliding door. The groove profile 6 has two outer legs 6 ', 6 ", wherein the cover strip facing leg 6" has a lower height h, as the opposite leg 6', whose height is designated H. The height difference is designed so that in the region of the shorter leg 6 "hinged in the groove profile 6 cover strip 3 terminates approximately level with the surface 1a.

In the region of the first leg 5, the cover strip 3 may have a sealing lip 7, which rests sealingly, for example on a rear wall. The sealing lip 7 is inclined at approximately an angle α of approximately 45 ° with respect to the first leg 5.

The cover strip 3 spans with the groove 4 facing away from the second surface 1b of the furniture panel 1 at an angle β of about 30 °. In the area of the second surface 1b, the cover strip 3 has an edge rounding 9 formed by a second leg 8 in order to reduce the risk of damage and injuries to or through the edge 2.

At the in Fig. 4 illustrated variant, the second leg 8 has a nose 8a, which projects beyond the second surface 1b. In the in FIGS. 8 and 9 shown noseless execution of the leg 8 just concludes with the second surface 1b. The cover strip 3 can thus be folded flush in the furniture panel 1. Between the second leg 8 and the base body 12 can be arranged 13 a filling bar. By the filling bar 13, on the one hand, the strength of the porous body 12 is increased and on the other hand ensures a clean transition from the cover strip 3 to the second surface 1b of the furniture panel 1.

The cover strip 3 can be fixed by means of an adhesive tape 11 on the base body 12, formed for example by a clamping plate, of the furniture panel 1.

Die Verzahnung 10 an der Außenseite der Schenkel 6', 6" gewährleistet einen sicheren Sitz in der Nut 4.The two legs 6 ', 6 "of the groove profiles 6 are - when installed - arranged at least approximately parallel. The toothing 10 on the outside of the legs 6', 6" ensures a secure fit in the groove 4th

The cover strip 3 and the groove profiles 6 may be made of plastic, for example of ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer).
