Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an access door, in particular suitable for being assembled on boats such as motorboats, yachts and the like.
  • the rooms of a supporting structure for example a residence, factory, commercial or management centre, a boat and so forth are positioned in communication with each other or with the outside environment by the creation of spaces.
  • An access door in dividing or perimetric walls respectively, is positioned in correspondence with these spaces.
  • the range of sliding doors comprises doors which, supported by a carrying frame installed outside the wall, slide along the wall itself, thus always remaining visible.
  • Doors which are connected to a formwork which is housed inside a slit in the thickness of the wall at the side of the space to be used and capable of completely housing the shutter, also belong to the range of sliding doors.
  • Folding doors consist of a series of vertical panels coupled with each other by means of hinging means which, by means of a pulling force exerted by the user, allow the panels to be packeted near the upright of the door jamb to free the space and allow the passage of people.
  • sliding doors and folding doors are typically moved along a strictly horizontal direction.
  • a further drawback consists of the fact that, especially when they completely open up the space, the sliding doors in question prevent whoever is inside the internal rooms from observing the view or outside events.
  • the present invention intends to solve the drawbacks of the known art mentioned above.
  • a main objective of the invention is to provide an access door, in particular for boats, which has a reduced encumbrance, especially when it opens the space, with respect to known doors.
  • a second objective of the present invention is to provide an access door which gives an aesthetical contribution to the room in which it is installed, especially when open, or at least improves it with respect to the common doors of the known art.
  • a further objective of the invention is to provide an access door which, in some supporting structures, for example boats, increases the aeration degree of the internal rooms when the space is opened, with respect to the known art.
  • Another objective of the invention is to provide an access door which, when the space is open, allows the field of vision of those inside the internal rooms to be widened, with respect to known sliding doors.
  • the access door according to the invention advantageously almost completely disappears into a slit situated on the ceiling of the room accessible to people and belonging to the supporting structure, for example a boat.
  • the aesthetical impact of the access door of the invention is consequently substantially zero or negligible as the shutter almost totally enters the supporting structure, leaving only the carrying frame visible, which however is fixed to the perimetric wall which delimits the space.
  • the access door of the invention has an extremely attractive aesthetical effect.
  • the door of the invention consequently improves the aesthetical effect of the room and, more generally, of the supporting structure in which it is installed, with respect to the doors currently on the market.
  • the access door of the invention advantageously has, especially under opening conditions of the space, a limited encumbrance with respect to the equivalent doors of the known art.
  • the access door according to the invention also advantageously ensures a greater circulation of air inside the internal rooms of the supporting structure, with respect to the known art.
  • This aspect is particularly important in supporting structures such as boats, especially with respect to sailing conditions or mooring in the port of a tourist site.
  • a further advantage lies in the fact that the access door of the invention is extremely light and has very competitive cost in view of the materials used and facility of installation.
  • the access door of the invention used for opening and closing spaces, especially in boats such as yachts, liners, motorboats and the like, is shown in figure 1 , indicated as a whole with 1.
  • the access door 1 is generally suitable for being installed in the stern area of a boat.
  • the access door 1 comprises a carrying frame 2, which is associated with a space situated in a supporting structure, consisting for example and in particular in the boat itself.
  • the door 1 also comprises a shutter, indicated as a whole with 3, coupled with the carrying frame 2 for opening/closing the space and provided with an upper edge 3a and a lower edge 3b distanced from each other along a first direction Y.
  • a shutter indicated as a whole with 3 coupled with the carrying frame 2 for opening/closing the space and provided with an upper edge 3a and a lower edge 3b distanced from each other along a first direction Y.
  • the shutter 3 includes four transversal panels 4, 5, 6, 7, connected to each other by hinging means, indicated as a whole with 8, and coupled with the carrying frame 2 by means of guiding means, indicated as a whole with 9.
  • the guiding means 9 allow the transversal panels 4, 5, 6, 7 to slide along the first direction Y defining a first position for the shutter 3, in which the transversal panels 4, 5, 6, 7 gather into packet close to the upper edge 3a of the shutter 3 to open the space, and a second position in which the transversal panels 4, 5, 6, 7 are substantially coplanar and aligned with each other along the first direction Y to close the space.
  • the minimum composition of the access door according to the invention in any case comprises two transversal panels.
  • the transversal panels 4, 5, 6, 7 are general made of an infrangible, transparent plastic material, commonly known with the trade-name Plexiglas, making the access door 1 economical without losing its aesthetical effect.
  • the first direction Y in this case is preferably but not exclusively vertical.
  • the carrying frame 2 comprises two shaped uprights 10, 11 parallel and distanced with respect to each other, which are fixed to the supporting structure delimiting the space, and a horizontal crosspiece 12, which connects the upper end 10a, 11a of the shaped uprights 10, 11 and is also fixed to the supporting structure.

  • the position of the panel N on the roof T can be seen in figure 14 , closing the slot, whereas in figures 15 and 16 , the panel N is retracted and frees the slot F which consequently gradually receives the transversal panels 104, 105, 106, 107.
  • Figure 15 shows that during the opening of the space V, the hinging means 114 which connect one each other the panels 104 and 105 with the panels 106 and 107, protrude outwardly from the carrying frame 101.

  • An analogous maneuver can be repeated on the opposite part of the access door 100 for the first window 108 and the second window 111.
  • the access door of the invention is extremely easy to move, thanks to its reduced weight and it has a limited encumbrance with respect to doors of the known type, especially under closing conditions of the space.
  • transversal panels can be made of a different material from that indicated in the description, which does not jeopardize the advantage of the present invention.
  • the access door of the invention can be installed in any supporting structure where a slot in the ceiling of the room where the door is required, is envisaged or can be obtainable.
