Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue Hydrophilierungsmittel, deren Verwendung zur Herstellung von wässrigen und/oder wasserverdünnbaren blockierten Polyisocyanaten sowie die Herstellung dieser blockierten Polyisocyanate und ihre Verwendung in ggf. selbstvernetzenden Einkomponentensystemen mit verbesserten Korrosionsschutzeigenschaften.

Description

Neue Hydrophilierungsmittel / HPS-Ersatz
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue Hydrophilierungsmittel, deren Verwendung zur Herstellung von wässrigen und/oder wasserverdünnbaren blockierten Polyisocyanaten sowie die Herstellung dieser blockierten Polyisocyanate und ihre Verwendung in ggf. selbstvernetzenden Einbrennsystemen mit verbesserten Korrosionsschutzeigenschaften.
Bei der Herstellung von Lösungen und/oder Dispersionen von Polyurethanen werden Hydrophilierungsmittel eingesetzt, um die Polymere nach der Synthese in die wässrige Phase überführen zu können bzw. um die Lösungen und/oder Dispersionen gegen Sedimentation zu stabilisieren.
Als Hydrophilierungsmittel werden verschiedene kationische, anionische und/oder nichtionische Verbindungen eingesetzt wie Mono- und/oder Dihydroxycarbonsäuren oder monofunktionelle Alkylethoxylate, die auch in Gemischen untereinander Anwendung finden.
Bei der Auswahl geeigneter Hydrophilierungsmittel ist auch deren Verfügbarkeit bzw. leichte Herstellbarkeit wichtig.
Hydroxylgruppen enthaltende Alkylamidcarbonsäuren, die beispielsweise aus Alkylaminen und Carbonsäureanhydriden leicht hergestellt werden können, sind bisher nur vereinzelt bei der Herstellung von Dispersionen eingesetzt worden.
So werden lediglich in den US-Patentschriften 6 641 922 und 6 613 859 wasserverdünnbare Produkte beschrieben, die durch Reaktion des Reaktionsproduktes aus Diethanolamin und Phthal- säureanhydrid mit Toluylendiisocyanat und einem Siliconharz mit anschließender Neutralisation hergestellt werden.
In der Publikation von Tang, Jialing et al. (Zhangguo Pige (1998), 27 (7), 15-17) werden Polyurethandispersionen beschrieben, die mit dem bis-Hydroxyethylhalbamid der Phthalsäure hydro- philiert wurden. Die Veröffentlichung Lin, Jianhong et al. (Gaofenzi Xuebao (2001) (1) 127-129) beschreibt Untersuchungen an Polyurethandispersionen, bei deren Herstellung ebenfalls bis- Hydroxyethylhalbamide der Phthalsäure zur Hydrophilierung eingesetzt wurde.
Keine der Arbeiten nach dem Stand der Technik beschäftigt sich mit dem Einsatz solcher Halbamide bei der Herstellung von blockierten Polyisocyanaten für den Einsatz in wässrigen Einbrennsystemen.
Es wurde nun gefunden, dass sich die hydroxyfunktionellen Amide wenigstens difunktioneller Carbonsäuren gut zur Hydrophilierung von Polyisocyanaten oder Polyurethanen eignen. Die erfindungsgemäß hydrophilierten Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane weisen neben den hydrophilen Gruppen auch blockierte NCO-Gruppen auf. Solche Verbindungen eignen sich besonders gut zur Herstellung selbstvernetzender wässriger Einbrenn-Beschichtungsmittel.
Gegenstand der Erfindung sind daher siliciumfreie Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane, die wenigstens eine Struktureinheit der Formel (1) aufweisen,

R3 gleich R1 oder R2 oder ein Rest gemäß Formel (2) ist
worin R1 und R2 die vorstehende Bedeutung haben und R6 ein von einem Di- oder Polyisocyanat mit gegebenenfalls blockierten NCO-Gruppen abgeleiteter Alkyl- oder Arylrest ist.
Bevorzugt entspricht R3 der Definition der Reste R1, R2.
Bevorzugt basieren diese Polyurethane auf aliphatischen und/oder cycloaliphatischen PoIy- isocyanaten, besonders bevorzugt HDI und/oder IPDI.
Ferner ist ein Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung solcher siliciumfreien Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane, bei dem A) Polyisocyanate mit
B) Monoamiden der Formel (3)
wobei m und n und die Reste R1, R2 und R4 die bereits definierten Bedeutungen haben,
R5 gleich der Definition von R1, R2 ist oder der Formel (6) entspricht
C) Polyolen und
D) gegebenenfalls weiteren gegenüber Isocyanatgruppen reaktiven Verbindungen
umgesetzt werden.
Als Polyisocyanate werden dazu in A) die dem Fachmann an sich bekannten NCO-funktionellen Verbindungen einer Funktionalität von bevorzugt 2 oder mehr eingesetzt. Dies sind typischerweise aliphatische, cycloaliphatische, araliphatische und/oder aromatische Di- oder Triisocyanate sowie deren höhermolekulare Folgeprodukte mit Urethan-, Allophanat-, Biuret-, Uretdion- und/oder Isocyanuratgruppen, die zwei oder mehr freie NCO-Gruppen aufweisen.
Bevorzugte Di- oder Triisocyanate sind Tetramethylendiisocyanat, Cyclohexan-1,3- und 1,4- diisocyanat, Hexamethylendiisocyanat (HDI), l-Isocyanato-S^S-trimethyl-S-isocyanato-methyl- cyclohexan (Isophorondiisocyanat, IPDI), Methylen-bis-(4-isocyanatocyclohexan), Tetramethyl- xylylendiisocyanat (TMXDI), Triisocyanatononan, Toluylendiisocyanat (TDI), Di-phenylmethan- 2,4'- und/oder 4,4Λ-diisocyanat (MDI), Triphenylmethan-4,4'-diisocyanat, Naphtylen-l,5-diiso- cyanat sowie deren beliebige Mischungen untereinander.
Solche Polyisocyanate haben typischerweise Isocyanatgehalte von 0,5 bis 50 Gew.-%, bevorzugt 3 bis 30 Gew.-%, besonders bevorzugt 5 bis 25 Gew.-%.
Bevorzugte Polyisocyanate A) zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Polyisocyanate bzw. Polyurethane entsprechen der vorstehend genannten Art und weisen Biuret-, Isocyanurat- und/oder Uretdiongruppen auf und basieren bevorzugt dabei auf Hexamethylendiisocyanat oder Isophoron- diisocyanat.
Die in B) eingesetzten Monoamide sind erhältlich durch Umsetzung von Hydroxylaminen mit einer oder zwei freien OH-Gruppen und einer primären oder sekundären Aminogruppe mit Verbindungen, die wenigstens zwei Carbonsäuregruppen oder stattdessen mindestens eine Anhydridgruppe pro Molekül aufweisen. Bevorzugt wird pro freier COOH oder COO* Funktion 0,5 Äquivalente des Hydroxylamins bzw. pro Anhydridfunktion 1 Äquivalent des Hydroxylamins eingesetzt.
Bevorzugt sind difunktionelle Carbonsäuren und deren Anhydride, ganz besonders bevorzugt deren Anhydride.
Diese Anhydride entsprechen typischerweise der allgemeinen Formel (4)
wobei R4 der Rest einer difunktionellen aliphatischen Dicarbonsäure mit wenigstens 2 C-Atomen, einer cycloaliphatischen Dicarbonsäure mit wenigstens 6 C-Atomen oder aromatischen Dicarbonsäure mit wenigstens 6 C-Atomen ist.
Bevorzugte Anhydride der Formel (4) sind Phthalsäure- , Bernsteinsäure-, Trimellithsäure-, Hexa- und Tetrahydrophthalsäure- und Maleinsäureanhydrid. Besonders bevorzugte Anhydride sind Phthalsäure-, Trimellithsäure- und Hexahydrophthalsäureanhydrid.
Die eingesetzten Hydroxylamine entsprechen der allgemeinen Formel (5)
worin
m, n ganze Zahlen zwischen 0 und 8, und die Summe m + n eine Zahl größer oder gleich 2 ergibt und R1, R2 unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff oder ein OH-gruppenfreier, gegebenenfalls substituierter Q bis C8 Alkyl- oder Cycloalkylrest sind und
R5 gleich der Definition von R1, R2 ist oder der Formel (6) entspricht
worin R1 und R2 die vorstehende Bedeutung haben.
Bevorzugte Hydroxylamine sind solche der Formel (5), wobei R5 der Definition der Reste R1, R2 entspricht und das Hydroxylamin daher monohydroxyfunktionell ist.
Besonders bevorzugte Hydroxylamine sind 1-Amino-propanol, Alkylethanolamine oder Alkyliso- propanolamine mit 1 bis 5 C-Atomen im Alkylrest. Ganz besonders bevorzugt sind N-Methyl- ethanolamin, N-Methylisopropanolamin oder 1-Amino-propanol.
Die Herstellung dieser OH- und COOH-gruppenhaltigen Monoamide erfolgt in an sich bekannten Art und Weise durch Umsetzung von Carbonsäure bzw. -anhydrid mit dem Hydroxylamin beispielsweise bei Temperaturen von 10 bis 800C, bevorzugt von 25 bis 600C, vorzugsweise in Lösungsmitteln wie N-Methylpyrrolidon, Aceton, Methylethylketon oder Methoxypropylacetat.
Als Polyole in Komponente C) werden beispielsweise höhermolekulare Verbindungen aus den Klassen der Polyester-, Polyesteramid-, Polyurethan-, Polyacrylat-, Polycarbonat-, Polyacetal- und Polyetherpolyole mit zahlenmittleren Molekulargewichten von mindestens 500 g/mol, bevorzugt 500 bis 8000 g/mol, besonders bevorzugt 800 bis 5000 g/mol, eingesetzt.
Als Polyesterpolyole kommen insbesondere lineare Polyesterdiole oder auch verzweigte PoIy- esterpolyole in Betracht, wie sie in bekannter Weise aus aliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen oder aromatischen Di- bzw. Polycarbonsäuren bzw. ihren Anhydriden wie z.B. Bernstein-, Glutar-, Adipin-, Pimelin-, Kork-, Azelain-, Sebacin-, Nonandicarbon-, Decandicarbon-, Terephthal-, Isophthal-, o-Phthal-, Tetrahydrophthal-, Hexahydrophthal- oder Trimellitsäure sowie Säureanhydride wie o-Phthal-, Trimellit- oder Bernsteinsäureanhydrid oder deren Gemisch mit mehrwertigen Alkoholen wie z.B. Ethandiol, Di-, Tri-, Tetraethylenglykol, 1 ,2-Propandiol, Di-, Tri-, Tetrapropylenglykol, 1,3-Propandiol, Butandiol-1,4, Butandiol-1,3, Butandiol-2,3, Pentandiol-1,5, Hexandiol-1,6, 2,2-Dimethyl-l,3-propandiol, 1 ,4-Dihydroxycyclohexan, 1,4- Dimethylolcyclohexan, Octandiol-1,8, Decandiol-1,10, Dodecandiol-1,12 oder deren Gemische gegebenenfalls unter Mitverwendung höherfunktioneller Polyole wie Trimethylolpropan oder Glycerin hergestellt werden können. Als mehrwertige Alkohole zur Herstellung der Polyesterpolyole kommen natürlich auch cycloaliphatische und/oder aromatische Di- und Polyhydroxyl- verbindungen in Frage. Anstelle der freien Polycarbonsäure können auch die entsprechenden Polycarbonsäureanhydride oder entsprechende Polycarbonsäureester von niedrigen Alkoholen oder deren Gemische zur Herstellung der Polyester verwendet werden.
Selbstverständlich kann es sich bei den Polyesterpolyolen auch um Homo- oder Mischpolymerisate von Lactonen handeln, die vorzugsweise durch Anlagerung von Lactonen bzw. Lactongemischen wie Butyrolacton, ε-Caprolacton und/oder Methyl-ε-caprolacton an geeignete di- und /oder höher- funktionelle Startermoleküle, wie z.B. die vorstehend als Aufbaukomponenten für Polyester- polyole genannten niedermolekularen, mehrwertigen Alkohole, erhalten werden. Die entsprechenden Polymerisate des ε-Caprolactons sind besonders bevorzugt.
Auch hydroxylgruppenaufweisende Polycarbonate kommen als Polyhydroxylkomponenten in Betracht, z.B. solche, die durch Umsetzung von Diolen wie 1,4-Butandiol und/oder 1 ,6-Hexandiol mit Diarylcarbonaten, z.B. Diphenylcarbonat, oder Phosgen hergestellt werden können.
Als Polyetherpolyole seien z.B. die Polyadditionsprodukte der Styroloxide, des Ethylenoxid, Propylenoxid, Tetrahydrofuran, Butylenoxid, Epichlorhydrins, sowie ihre Mischadditions- und Pfropfprodukte, sowie die durch Kondensation von mehrwertigen Alkoholen oder Mischungen derselben und die durch Alkoxylierung von mehrwertigen Alkoholen, Aminen und Amino- alkoholen gewonnenen Polyetherpolyole.
Bevorzugt werden niedermolekulare Polyhydroxylverbindungen, bevorzugt Diole des Molekulargewichtsbereichs 62 bis 499 g/mol, mit verwendet. Es kommen als solche beispielsweise die zur Herstellung der Polyesterpolyole genannten mehrwertigen, insbesondere zweiwertigen Alkohole sowie weiterhin niedermolekulare Polyesterdiole wie z.B. Adipinsäure-bis-(hydroxyethyl)-ester oder kurzkettige auf aromatischen Diolen gestartete Homo- und Mischadditionsprodukte des Ethylenoxid oder des Propylenoxid in Frage. Beispiele für aromatische Diole, die als Starter für kurzkettige Homo- und Mischpolymerisate des Ethylenoxid oder des Propylenoxid Verwendung finden können, sind z.B. 1,4-, 1,3-, 1 ,2-Dihydroxybenzol oder 2,2-Bis-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propan (Bisphenol A).
In D) können die dem Fachmann an sich bekannten Blockierungsmittel eingesetzt werden. Beispiele sind ε-Caprolactam, Malonsäurediethylester, Acetessigsäureethylester, Oxime wie Butanonoxim, Amine wie N-tert.-Butyl-benzylamin oder Diisopropylamin, Dimethylpyrazol, Triazol bzw. deren Gemische. Ferner geeignet als Bestandteile der Komponente D) sind weitere Hydrophilierungsmittel. Als Hydrophilierungsmittel können in D) zusätzlich zu den erfindungsgemäßen Hydrophilierungs- mitteln aus B) alle für diesen Zweck geeigneten kationischen, anionischen und/oder nichtionischen Verbindungen eingesetzt werden wie Mono- und/oder Dihydroxycarbonsäuren oder monofunktio- nelle Alkylethoxylate. Selbstverständlich können auch Gemische verschiedener Hydrophilierungsmittel eingesetzt werden.
In einer bevorzugten Ausfuhrungsform wird A) zunächst mit B) so umgesetzt, dass noch freie NCO-Gruppen im Reaktionsprodukt enthalten sind. Bevorzugt beträgt hier das NCO/OH-Verhält- nis 20:1 bis 1,5:1, besonders bevorzugt 15:1 bis 2:1. Anschließend wird dieses hydrophilierte NCO-gruppenhaltige Polymer mit Polyolen der Komponente C) der vorstehend definierten Art in solch einem Verhältnis umgesetzt, dass ein OH-funktionelles NCO-gruppenfreies Polymer erhalten wird. Durch Hitzeeinwirkung können solche Polymere deblockieren und mit freien OH-Gruppen vernetzen. Diese Polymere können aber auch als OH-Komponente verwendet werden die mit weiteren Polyisocyanaten, die blockierte oder freie NCO-Gruppen aufweisen, vernetzt wird.
Zusätzlich können im erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren die dem Fachmann aus der Polyurethanchemie an sich bekannten Katalysatoren, Additive, Hilfsmittel und Lösungsmittel mit verwendet werden. Falls Katalysatoren mit verwendet werden, so werden diese in Mengen von 0,01 bis 5 Gew.%, bevorzugt 0,05 bis 4 Gew.%, besonders bevorzugt 0,07 bis 1,5 Gew.% eingesetzt.
Ein weiterer Gegenstand sind Dispersionen enthaltend die erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethane.
Wässrige Dispersionen können aus den erfϊndungsgemäßen siliciumfreien blockierten Polyisocyanaten bzw. Polyurethanen hergestellt werden, indem die freien Carboxylgruppen ganz oder teilweise durch Basenzugabe neutralisiert werden, bevor, während oder nachdem die Polyiso- cyanate mit Wasser vermischt werden. Die Neutralisation kann beispielsweise mit beliebigen Aminen erfolgen wie Triethyl-, Dimethylcyclohexyl-, Methyl- und Ethyl-diisopropyl- oder Dimethylethanolamin. Auch Ammoniak ist geeignet. Bevorzugt zur Neutralisation sind Triethyl- amin, Ethyldiisopropylamin und Dimethylethanolamin. Die Neutralisation erfolgt in der Regel zwischen Raumtemperatur und 1 100C. Die Stoffmenge der Basen liegt zumeist zwischen 50 und 150 %, bevorzugt zwischen 60 und 100 % der Stoffmenge der anionischen Gruppen.
Im allgemeinen erhält man so einen Festkörper-Massenanteil in der Dispersion von 20 % bis 70 %, bevorzugt 25 % bis 50 %.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethane können als selbstvernetzende Polymere oder aber in Kombination mit Polyolen und weiteren in der Beschichtungstechnologie üblichen Hilfs- und Zusatz- Stoffen zur Herstellung von Beschichtungsmitteln, Klebstoffen und Elastomeren eingesetzt werden.
Daher sind Beschichtungsmittel ein weiterer Gegenstand der Erfindung, mindestens enthaltend die erfindungsgemäßen Polyurethane und gegebenenfalls Polyole.
Geeignete Polyole sind die bereits oben stehend genannten höhermolekularen Verbindungen aus den Klassen der Polyester-, Polyesteramid-, Polyurethan-, Polyacrylat-, Polycarbonat-, Polyacetal- und Polyetherpolyole mit zahlenmittleren Molekulargewichten von mindestens 500 g/mol, bevorzugt 500 bis 8000 g/mol, besonders bevorzugt 800 bis 5000 g/mol.
Diese Beschichtungsmittel eignen sich zur Beschichtung von Substraten, vorzugsweise aus Metallen, mineralischen Stoffen, Holz, Kunststoffen, z.B. für die Industrielackierung, bei der Textilbeschichtung und bei der Automobilerstlackierung verwendet. Hierzu können die Beschichtungsmittel durch Rakeln, Tauchen, Spritzauftrag wie Druckluft- oder Airless-Spritzen, sowie durch elektrostatischen Auftrag, beispielsweise Hochrotationsglockenauftrag, aufgetragen werden. Die Trockenfilm-Schichtdicke kann beispielsweise bei 10-120 μm liegen. Das Aushärten der getrockneten Filme erfolgt durch Einbrennen im Temperaturbereich von 90 bis 16O0C, bevorzugt 110 bis 140°C, besonders bevorzugt 120 bis 1300C.
Die Herstellung der Lacke, Farben und anderen Formulierungen aus den erfindungsgemäßen Polyisocyanaten bzw. Polyurethanen erfolgt nach an sich bekannten Methoden. Außer den Polyisocyanaten und ggf. Polyolen können den Formulierungen übliche Additive und andere Hilfs- Stoffe wie Pigmente, Füllstoffe, Verlaufsmittel, Entschäumer, Dispergierhilfsmittel und Katalysatoren in durch den Fachmann leicht zu ermittelnden Mengen zugesetzt werden.

Sofern nicht abweichen vermerkt beziehen sich alle Prozentangaben auf Gewichtsprozent.
Die angegebenen Viskositäten wurden mittels Rotationsviskosimetrie nach DIN 53019 mit einem Rotationsviskosimeter der Firma Anton Paar Germany GmbH, Ostfildern, DE bestimmt.
NCO-Gehalte wurden, wenn nicht ausdrücklich anders erwähnt, volumetrisch gemäß DIN-EN ISO 11909 bestimmt.
Die angegebenen Partikelgrößen wurden mittels Laserkorrelationsspektroskopie (Gerät: Malvern Zetasizer 1000, Malver Inst. Limited) bestimmt.
Die Kontrolle auf freie NCO-Gruppen wurde mittels IR-Spektroskopie (Bande bei 2260 cm'1) durchgeführt.
Desmodur® N 3300: Isocyanurat auf Basis von Hexamethylendiisocyanat, Bayer MaterialScience AG, Leverkusen, DE
Desmophen® D 270; Hydroxylgruppen-haltiger Polyester, Bayer MaterialScience AG, Leverkusen, DE
Additol XW 395: Verlaufshilfsmittel/Entschäumer, UCB Chemicals, St. Louis, USA
Surfvnol 104: Verlaufshilfsmittel/Entschäumer, 50% in NMP, Air Products, Hattingen, DE
Beispiel 1
117,67 g (1,2 Mol) Maleinsäureanhydrid wurden in 207,80 g N-Methylpyrrolidon gelöst. Beginnend bei Raumtemperatur wurden innerhalb von 40 Minuten unter starker Kühlung 90,13 g (1,2 Mol) 2-Methylaminoethanol so zugegeben, dass die Temperatur 500C nicht überstieg. So wurde bei 500C nachgerührt, bis IR-spektroskopisch keine Carbonsäureanhydridgruppen mehr nachweisbar waren (ca. 60 Minuten). Nach Abkühlen auf Raumtemperatur entstand eine klare Lösung mit einem Festkörpergehalt von 50 %.
Beispiel 2
296,2 g (0,2 Mol) Phthalsäureanhydrid wurden mit 446,42 g Aceton vermischt und das Gemisch auf 600C aufgeheizt und so lange gerührt, bis eine klare Lösung entstand (ca. 1 Stunde). Innerhalb von 60 Minuten wurden dann unter Rühren bei 600C 150,22 g ( 2 Mol) 2-Methylaminoethanol zugegeben und das Gemisch anschließend so lange bei 55°C nachgerührt, bis IR-spektroskopisch keine Carbonsäureanhydridgruppen mehr nachweisbar waren (ca. 75 Min.). Danach wurden 223,21 g Aceton und 50 g N-Methylpyrrolidon zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt. Es entstand eine klare Lösung mit einem Festkörpergehalt von 38,28 %.
Beispiel 3
308,34 g (2 Mol) bis-Hexahydrophthalsäureanhydrid wurden in 458,56 g Aceton gelöst. Unter Kühlung wurden bei 30 0C 150,22 g (2 Mol) 2-Methylaminoethanol unter Rühren innerhalb von 60 Minuten zugetropft. Es wurde dann bei 400C so lange nachgerührt, bis IR-spektroskopisch keine Carbonsäureanhydridgruppen mehr nachweisbar waren (ca. 2 Stunden). Nach Abkühlen auf Raumtemperatur entstand eine klare 50 %ige Lösung.
Beispiel 4
Zu 343,20 g (1,76 VaI NCO) Desmodur® N 3300 wurden 9,45 g (0,16 VaI OH) 1 ,6-Hexandiol zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch bei 700C gerührt, bis nach ca. 5 h ein NCO-Gehalt von 19,05 % erreicht wurde. Dann wurde auf 300C abgekühlt und 220,11 g (0,48 VaI OH) der Verbindung aus Beispiel 3 unter Kühlen bei 300C innerhalb von 20 Minuten zugegeben. Danach wurden 1017,9 g Aceton zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch 1 Stunde bei 300C weiter gerührt, bis ein NCO-Gehalt von 2,78 % erreicht wurde. Danach wurden bei 300C 97,57 g (1,12 Mol) Butanonoxim innerhalb von 10 Minuten zugegeben, auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und weiter 30 Minuten gerührt. Danach waren IR-spektroskopisch keine NCO-Gruppen mehr nachweisbar. Die Säurezahl des Reaktionsgemisches betrug 15,73 mg KOH/g. Dann wurden unter Rühren bei Raumtemperatur 47,07 g (0,528 Mol) Dimethylethanolamin zugegeben, 10 Minuten nachgerührt und innerhalb von 15 Minuten 1127,9 g entionisiertes Wasser zugegeben. Anschließend wurde Aceton im Vakuum abdestilliert, zuletzt eine Stunde bei 120 bar und 400C. Nach Abkühlen auf Raumtemperatur und einem Nachrühren von 4 Stunden entstand eine Dispersion mit nachfolgenden Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 32,2 % pH-Wert 9,18
Viskosität @ 23°C 400 mPas
Partikelgröße 41 nm
Beispiel 5
343,20 g (1,76 VaI NCO) Desmodur® N 3300 wurden mit 9,45 g (0,16 VaI OH) 1 ,6-Hexandiol vermischt und bei 700C so lange gerührt, bis nach 5 h ein NCO- Wert von 19,03 % erreicht wurde. Dann wurden bei 500C 334,60 g Aceton und 223,21 g (0,40 VaI OH) Verbindung aus Beispiel 2 zugegeben und das Reaktionsgemisch bei 500C gerührt, bis ein NCO-Wert von 4,9 % erreicht wurde. Es wurde dann mit 787,9 g Aceton verdünnt, auf 3O0C abgekühlt und innerhalb von 20 Minuten 93,55 g (1,072 Mol) Butanonoxim zugegeben und 50 Minuten nachgerührt. Danach waren IR-spektroskopisch keine NCO-Gruppen mehr nachweisbar. Nach Abkühlen auf Raumtemperatur wurden innerhalb von 10 Minuten 39,22 g (0,44 Mol) Dimethylethanolamin zugegeben, 10 Minuten nachgerührt und mit 1067,3 g entionisiertem Wasser vermischt. Danach wurde Aceton im Vakuum abdestilliert, zuletzt 1 Stunde bei 400C / 120 mbar. Danach wurde unter Rühren auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und 4 Stunden nachgerührt. Die erhaltene Dispersion besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 32,4% pH-Wert 9,21
Viskosität @ 23°C 14700 mPas
Partikelgröße 45 nm
Beispiel 6
343,20 g (1,76 VaI NCO) Desmodur® N 3300 wurden mit 9,45 g (0,16 VaI OH) 1 ,6-Hexandiol vermischt und bei 700C gerührt, bis ein NCO-Wert von 19.03 % erreicht wurde. Dann wurden 69,70 g (0,8 Mol) Butanonoxim innerhalb von 30 Minuten zugegeben und anschließend mit 552,54 g Aceton verdünnt, auf 35°C abgekühlt und 83,12 g (0,24 VaI OH) der Verbindung aus Beispiel 1 zugegeben und weiter gerührt, bis nach 3 h ein NCO-Wert von 1,58 % erreicht wurde. Danach wurden innerhalb von 10 Minuten 34,85 g (0,4 Mol) Butanonoxim zugegeben und 30 Minuten nachgerührt, bis IR-spektroskopisch keine NCO-Gruppen mehr nachweisbar waren. Danach wurden bei Raumtemperatur 584,82 g Aceton und 23,53 g (0,264 Mol) Dimethylethanolamin zugegeben, 10 Minuten gerührt und danach 776,8 g entionisiertes Wasser von Raumtemperatur zugegeben. Anschließend wurde Aceton im Vakuum abdestilliert. Die Dispersion wurde dann auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und 4 Stunden weiter gerührt. Sie besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 27,5% pH-Wert 8,83
Viskosität @ 23°C 480 mPas
Partikelgröße 131 nm
Beispiel 7
Es wurde gearbeitet wie in Beispiel 4 gearbeitet, wobei jedoch die Verbindung aus Beispiel 3 und 1,6-Hexandiol vorgelegt und dann mit Desmodur® N 3300 versetzt wurden. Anschließend wurde das Gemisch bei 35°C bis zum Erreichen eines NCO- Werts von 2,91 % weiter gerührt. Die Dispersion besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 32,6% pH-Wert 9,26
Viskosität @ 23°C 7250 mPas
Partikelgröße 74 nm
Beispiel 8
Es wurde analog Beispiel 7 verfahren, wobei jedoch das Gemisch aus Verbindung 3, 1,6- Hexandiol und Desmodur® N 3300 so lange gerührt wurde, bis ein NCO- Wert von 2,65 % erreicht wurde.
Die Dispersion besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 32,0 % pH-Wert 9,28
Viskosität @ 23°C 300 mPas
Partikelgröße 27 nm
Beispiel 9
Es wurde wie im Beispiel 5 beschrieben gearbeitet, jedoch wurden 139,93 g (0,24 VaI OH) Verbindung aus Beispiel 2, 110,12 g (1,264 Mol) Butanonoxim und 14,71 g (0,264 Mol) Dimethylethanolamin eingesetzt. Die erhaltene Dispersion besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 30,0% pH-Wert 8,89
Viskosität @ 23°C < 50mPas
Partikelgröße 55 nm
Beispiel 10
Es wurde wie im Beispiel 9 beschrieben gearbeitet, jedoch wurden zusätzlich zur Verbindung aus Beispiel 2 16,00 g (0,032 VaI OH) eines Methanol gestarteten Polyethylenoxids mittleren Molgewichts von 500 zugegeben und nur 108,73g (1,248 VaI) Butanonoxim eingesetzt. Die Dispersion besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften: Feststoffgehalt 39,0% pH-Wert 8,58
Viskosität @ 230C 1850 mPas
Partikelgröße 44 nm
Beispiel 11: (Vergleich)
Es wurde wie in Beispiel 7 gearbeitet, jedoch wurde anstelle des erfindungsgemäßen Halbamids Hydroxypivalinsäure eingesetzt. Die Dispersion besaß nachfolgende Eigenschaften:
Feststoffgehalt 30,0 % pH-Wert 9,06
Viskosität @ 23°C I 4400 mPas
Partikelgröße 39 nm
Beispiele 12 - 17: Anwendunεstechnische Prüfungen
Es wurden Klarlacke nachfolgender Zusammensetzung hergestellt. Aus den Klarlacken wurden Filme hergestellt, 10 Min. bei Raumtemperatur getrocknet und anschließend 30 Min. bei 165°C eingebrannt. Die erhaltenen Filme wurden anwendungstechnisch beurteilt. Die Ergebnisse sind in der folgenden Tabelle zusammengestellt.

Für den Salzsprühtest wurden die Lacke mittels Fließbecherpistole auf Stahlbleche gespritzt und eingebrannt. Der Salzsprühtest erfolgte gemäß DIN 53 167.
Es zeigte sich bei den anwendungstechnischen Überprüfungen der Lackbeschichtung, dass diese im Fall von Beispiel 12 eine bessere Lösemittelbeständigkeit als das Vergleichsbeispiel 17 aufweist. Bei den Beispielen 12, 13 und 14 zeigt sich eine geringere Unterwanderung im Salzsprühtest, dies weist auf eine bessere Haftung und Korrosionsbeständigkeit hin.

Claims

Patentansprüche:
1. Verwendung hydroxyfunktioneller Amide wenigstens difunktioneller Carbonsäuren zur Hydrophilierung von siliciumfreien Polyisocyanaten oder Polyurethanen.
2. Verwendung gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die hydroxyfunktionellen Amide monohydroxyfunktionell sind.
3. Verwendung gemäß Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die hydroxyfunktionellen Amide ein durch equimolare Umsetzung entstehendes Additionsprodukt aus einem oder mehreren monoxydroxyfunktionellen Aminen der Gruppe N-Methyl- ethanolamin, N-Methylisopropanolamin und 1-Amino-propanol und einem oder mehreren Säureanhydriden der Gruppe Phthalsäure-, Trimellithsäure- und Hexahydrophthal- säureanhydrid sind.
4. Verwendung gemäß einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die hydrophilierten Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane auf Hexamethylendiisocyanat und/oder Isophorondiisocyanat basieren und Biuret-, Isocyanurat- und/oder Uretdiongruppen aufweisen können.
5. Siliciumfreie Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane, die wenigstens eine Struktureinheit der Formel (1) aufweisen,
worin
m: 0 bis 8,
n: 0 bis 8,
m+n: > 2,
R1, R2 unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff oder ein OH-gruppenfreier, gegebenenfalls substituierter Ci bis Cg Alkyl- oder Cycloalkylrest sind,
R4 der Rest einer difunktionellen aliphatischen Dicarbonsäure mit wenigstens 2 C-
Atomen, einer cycloaliphatischen Dicarbonsäure mit wenigstens 6 C-Atomen oder aromatischen Dicarbonsäure mit wenigstens 6 C-Atomen und R gleich R oder R oder ein Rest gemäß Formel (2) ist
worin R1 und R2 die vorstehende Bedeutung haben und R6 ein von einem Di- oder Polyisocyanat mit gegebenenfalls blockierten NCO-Gruppen abgeleiteter Alkyl- oder Arylrest ist.
6. Siliciumfreie Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane gemäß Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass R3 der Definition der Reste R1 und R2 entspricht.
7. Verfahren zur Herstellung siliciumfreier Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane gemäß Anspruch 5 oder 6, bei dem
A) Polyisocyanate mit freien NCO-Gruppen mit
B) Monoamiden der Formel (3)
wobei m und n und die Reste R1, R2 und R4 die bereits definierten Bedeutungen haben,
R gleich der Definition von R , R ist oder der Formel (6) entspricht
C) Polyolen und
D) gegebenenfalls weiteren gegenüber Isocyanatgruppen reaktiven Verbindungen
umgesetzt werden.
8. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass R5 der Definition der Reste R1 und R2 entspricht und die Monoamide der Formel (3) daher monohydroxyfunktionell sind.
9. Verfahren gemäß Anspruch 7 oder 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Amid in B) ein durch equimolare Urnsetzung entstehendes Additionsprodukt aus einem oder mehreren monohydroxyfunktionellen Aminen der Gruppe N-Methylethanolamin, N-Methylisopro- panolamin und 1-Amino-propanol und einem oder mehreren Säureanhydriden der Gruppe Phthalsäure-, Trimellithsäure- und Hexahydrophthalsäureanhydrid ist.
10. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 7 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die in A) eingesetzten Polyisocyanate auf Hexamethylendiisocyanat und/oder Isophorondiisocyanat basieren und Biuret-, Isocyanurat- und/oder Uretdiongruppen aufweisen können.
11. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 7 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in C) Polyester-, Polyesteramid-, Polyurethan-, Polyacrylat-, Polycarbonat-, Polyacetal- und Polyetherpolyole mit zahlenmittleren Molekulargewichten von 800 bis 5000 g/mol eingesetzt werden.
12. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche. 7 bis 1 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Katalysatoren und/oder Lösungsmittel mit verwendet werden.
13. Verfahren gemäß einem der Ansprüche 7 bis 12, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass in D) Blockierungsmittel und/oder Hydrophilierungsmittel eingesetzt werden.
14. Dispersionen enthaltend siliciumfreie Polyisocyanate oder Polyurethane gemäß Anspruch 5 oder 6.
15. Beschichtungsmittel, Klebstoffe oder Elastomere erhältlich unter Verwendung von siliciumfreien Polyisocyanaten oder Polyurethanen gemäß Anspruch 5 oder 6.
