Abstract

A displacement control valve for a variable displacement compressor has a control passage, a valve hole formed in the control passage, a first shaft portion having a valve body, and a connecting portion connected to the end portion of the valve body. The control passage is connected to a crank chamber for controlling the pressure in the crank chamber for adjusting the discharge displacement of the compressor. The valve body is formed at an end portion of the first shaft portion to open and close the valve hole. The connecting portion connected.to the end portion of the valve body is disposed into the valve hole, and a circumferential surface of the connecting portion has a curved surface so as to be flared out at an end of the connecting portion.
