Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a weapon system, in particular for a ship, with the features of the preamble of
In weapon systems installed on ships, external influences are always problematic. On the one hand, the systems must be protected against sea weather conditions (salt water), on the other hand, due to the sea, large forces can act on the mechanics. Therefore, the ammunition must be well protected and safely stowed. At the same time, the space available on a ship is limited.
It is the object of the invention to design a weapons system, which ensures safe storage of the ammunition in a small footprint.
The invention solves the problem with the features of the characterizing part of
A basic idea of the invention is that a guide device is arranged in the ammunition space, on which at least two ammunition carriages are displaceably arranged. The ammunition wagons serve to receive the rocket containers. They can be moved from a parking position into a loading position, in which the rocket container is arranged substantially below a slide-in frame of the rocket launcher. In order to supply the rocket containers to the rocket launcher, an ammunition carriage, on which a full rocket container is located, is moved from the parking position into the loading position. There, the rocket container, for example by means of a lifting device such as a crane, which can attack on an eye of the rocket container, lifted from the ammunition carriage and fed to the rocket launcher. After firing the empty rocket containers are dropped off again on the ammunition cart and the ammunition cart is moved together with the empty rocket container back into a parking position. Thus, it is possible that multiple rocket containers can be stored in park position. By the guide device is achieved that the rocket containers are moved to the car on defined paths within the ammunition space. The cars are secured by locking means such as pin locks against unwanted movements in heavy seas.
The limited space can be better utilized if at least two superimposed guide devices are arranged in the ammunition space, on each of which at least two ammunition cars are arranged displaceably.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, each guide device may be at least the length of the longest ammunition carriage on the guide device longer than the length of all ammunition carriage on the guide device together, the length of an ammunition carriage is measured in the direction of displacement. At least the guiding device should be longer by the length of a rocket container than the length of all ammunition carriages on the guiding device together. Preferably, identical ammunition cars are used, so that each guide device is at least one ammunition cart length longer than the length of all ammunition cart on the guide device together. It can also be stored several rocket containers in a correspondingly longer ammunition cart.
If the rocket launcher can pick up two rocket containers, in a preferred embodiment three ammunition cars can be arranged on each guide device.
In a simple embodiment, the ammunition carriage can be arranged as a carriage on two particular straight and mutually parallel guideways slidably. Furthermore, the ammunition trolleys may in particular have four or more rollers, by means of which they are arranged displaceably on the guide device. An improved guide can also be achieved if the guideway has the shape of a U-profile in which the rollers are guided. In an analogous way, the roles in Cross section have a U-profile and rest on a track-shaped track. In a further analogous embodiment, the guideways may also be designed as roller conveyors on which sliding surfaces of the ammunition carriages rest.
The guide device may comprise a toothed rack, in which engages a corresponding gear of the ammunition cart, so that the ammunition carriage on the guide device can be moved manually or by motor causes. In a preferred embodiment, the ammunition cars on a crank device, by means of which they are displaceable. The crank device may include a load torque lock that causes movement of the munition cart to be prevented once the crank is released. Thus, the operator and the ammunition are secured, if the crank must be released by strong ship movements.
To provide protection against the sea-weather conditions, the ammunition room can be arranged in a hangar on the deck of the ship behind the rocket launcher. The hangar can have an opening directed towards the rocket launcher, which can be closed so that the particle beam does not enter the hangar during the firing of the rockets. The hangar roof may also have an opening for emergency discharge of the rocket container, for example, if the regular lifting device is defective.
