Abstract

Provided are an air conditioning system and a controlling method thereof. According to the system and method, frost on an outdoor heat exchanger can be removed while a heating mode operation is continuously performed, and power consumption can be reduced. Also, refrigerant of higher temperature than that of a heating mode is supplied to the outdoor heat exchanger to extend defrosting mode period.
