Description

The invention relates to a handle for a handgun, in particular a pistol, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a handle is from the EP 0 979 986 A2 known. There, a single metal existing multifunctional part is removably inserted into an existing plastic housing. However, the multifunction part is used only for guiding and supporting the elements of the trigger mechanism and contains the guides for the sliding on the handle carriage. The magazine shaft is formed in the one-piece plastic housing. In this known weapon adaptation of the handle to different requirements of the weapon is not readily possible, since the plastic housing is made in one piece and must be replaced in any changes or adjustments always in the entirety.

The object of the invention is to provide a handle that allows a simple and cost-effective adaptation to the various requirements of the shooter.

This object is achieved by a handle with the features of claim 1.

The handle according to the invention has a modular construction and consists of a preferably made of plastic handle module, an insertable into the handle module metallic support member with a handle module from the downwardly protruding magazine shaft and a handle shell module, which is attached to the magazine shaft. The preferably designed as a sheet metal support member forms a universally usable base part, are arranged in or on the functionally essential parts of the handgun, such as the trigger mechanism or the guides for a carriage or closure. Interchangeable handle shell modules and also exchangeable handle modules for length adjustment and accessory reception can be attached to the universally usable carrier element. The integrally formed on the support element magazine slot not only serves to receive a magazine, but forms at the same time a stable support for the handle shell module that can be easily changed or replaced as needed. The handle shell module and a top shell forming handle module are simple and inexpensive to produce and can be replaced quickly and easily without changing the functionally essential parts of the weapon. By the handle of the invention, a small grip circumference with the highest possible strength and stability and optimal adaptability at low cost construction is possible.

Advantageous embodiments and advantageous developments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

For example, e.g. the handle shell module is designed such that it encloses the magazine shaft also on the back and front. The handle shell module is expediently designed as a hollow body, which is plugged from below onto the magazine shaft.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the support element is produced as a sheet metal construction of two interconnected via connecting webs side parts. The side parts of the carrier element have two downwardly projecting parallel portions which project downwardly from the handle module and, together with front and rear connecting webs, bound the magazine shaft formed integrally with the carrier element. The magazine well is preferably dimensioned so that it can accommodate a magazine in its entire or nearly entire length.

On the carrier element, which serves for receiving operating and functional elements of the handgun, in an expedient embodiment, the guides for a slidable on the support member carriage or closure may be attached.
