  • Light boxes of the type mentioned are well known and are described for example in the G 9002394 U1. This document discloses a lightbox for use in illuminated advertising comprising a base frame having at least one interchangeable rigid advertising disc.   • A disadvantage of this system is, on the one hand, that the geometric dimensions are already established during the production of the base frame and can not be changed at a later time. On the other hand, these light boxes are shipped almost exclusively in the assembled state, which makes handling difficult and with high packaging and shipping costs.   • The transport to possibly changing locations is very expensive with dimensions of for example 5m x 3m.   • For light boxes, however, such a simple change of the format of the base frame in the prior art is not possible.   • It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a light box, which can be mounted and dismounted in a simple manner and at the same time provides the greatest possible flexibility during transport due to the smallest possible space requirement.
  • This object is achieved in that the support wall is formed by a second tensionable sheet material which is fixed to the base frame, that it forms the back of the light box.
  • In other words, the attachment of the lighting means and / or the electrical ballast is carried on a fixed to the base frame flexible tensionable surface material, on which fastening means for releasably fixing the lamp and / or the electrical ballast are provided within the base frame and that can be simply rolled up or folded for transport after disassembly of the light box.   • If the format of the light box is changed, then simply another adapted to the new dimensions tensionable sheet material can be used in the modified base frame. Thus, for example, the erector of such a light box simply order the corresponding flexible back wall at the manufacturer if necessary, together with the new motif to be illuminated and sent by standard package or parcel through the post. This achieves an almost limitless scalability of the light boxes adapted to the motifs to be illuminated. This results in a significant cost savings.
  • In order to continue to ensure a homogeneous illumination, further bulbs are releasably secured to the likewise elongated tensionable surface material, for example, when extending the base frame.
  • If an advertising medium with a smaller format is to be clamped into the light box at a later time, the longitudinal profiles are replaced by shorter longitudinal profiles and light sources which are no longer required are removed in accordance with the shortening and the tensionable sheet material correspondingly shortened or replaced by a smaller one.
  • Since the lights can have different lengths, for example, 580 mm, 880 mm, 1180 mm and 1480 mm, both the height and the length of the base frame can be adapted to the format of the advertising medium to be used without much design effort.
  • In order to achieve such scalability, it is expedient to align the lamps perpendicular to the mounting rail. Of course, the bulbs can also be arranged parallel to the extension of the stretchable sheet material, depending on how best to realize the optimal illumination of the light box.
  • The detachable connection of the illuminant to the tensionable sheet material can be realized by a snap connection and / or a snap connection and / or a connection and / or a connection by means of a hook-and-loop fastener or another fastening variant known in the art of Tehcnik.
  • A particularly easy and quick disassembly is achieved by the connection by means of a Velcro fastener. For this purpose, Velcro strips can be provided on the lighting means, which form a hook-and-loop fastener with hook-and-loop strips arranged on the particular length-adjustable sheet material.   • In order to meet the prescribed safety requirements, it may be expedient that the lighting means can be fixed in position by means of a safety device, in particular a securing loop, against unintentional release from the fastening rail. This prevents that the stretchable surface material is damaged by a possible loosening of a bulb.
  • In a further embodiment, the bulbs are connected in series via a pre-assembled plug-in system. In this way, up to forty bulbs can be connected in series (this corresponds to about 1000 W depending on the type of light), which allows a scaling of the base frame up to a size of 3m x 10 m, without the need for another power supply in the light box must become.

  • In order to positively influence the life of the stretchable sheet material used in the base frame, in one embodiment of the present invention, the lighting means may be provided with a UV filter. This can already be integrated in the casing.
  • A particularly simple way of fastening the tensionable surface materials to the base profile is achieved in that the surface material has tensioning means by means of which it can be inserted into the base profile. The tensioning means can be, for example, tentering frames to be mounted on the base profile or else also stretchable reinforcing strips formed on the edge region of the tensionable sheet material, e.g. made of silicone, which can be used in grooves formed in the base profile. This loop can then be pulled to attach the tensionable surface material 7 to the base frame 2 and the light box 1 via a fastening strut, not shown, more or less like a curtain rod and the fastening strut can then be attached to the base frame 2. Of course, the mounting strut can also be permanently attached to the base frame 2 and be pivotable, for example, via a joint into a position in which a simple mounting of the support wall 7 to the mounting strut is possible. The tension of the support wall 7 is caused in this case by a kind of self-tension either by its own weight, or supported and reinforced by attachable in the opposite edge or edge region of the support wall additional weights.
  • Another not shown possibility of attachment of the support wall 7 to the light box 1 and the base profile 2 is provided for example by at least two formed on the corner region of the base frame 2 hooks are pushed onto the formed in the support wall 7, in particular through eyelets reinforced recesses can. Alternatively or in combination with the above, the base frame 2 is in its upper area over at least one longitudinal side extending a Velcro strip which is complementary to a Velcro strip formed on the support wall 7, so that attachment of the support wall 7 can be made to the base frame 2 by simply pressing the two Velcro strips.   • A further embodiment according to FIG. 4 provides that the tensionable sheet material 7 in several parts, in particular in the form of flexible, possibly also changeable in length textile strips 7c, 7d execute, which are insertable into the base frame 2.
  • Between two profiles 2 a, 2 c, two tensionable surface elements 7 c, 7 d are arranged in the form of textile Velcro strips which are variable in their length and thus can be adapted to the change in the geometric dimension of the base frame 2.
  • Within the base frame 2 are in the FIG. 4 five bulbs 5 used. The lamps used are T5 gas discharge lamps. The light sources 5 each have a further Velcro strip on their side facing the textile strips 7c, 7d, which forms a hook-and-loop fastener together with the Velcro strips of the textile strips 7c, 7d. The lamps 5 are aligned in this embodiment perpendicular to the textile strips 7a, 7b and connected via a pre-assembled connector system connected in series. Of course, the lighting means 5 can also be arranged parallel to the textile strips 7c, 7d, depending on how the optimal illumination of the light box 1 is best realized.
  • The prefabricated plug-in system is composed of prefabricated cables 10, which form a connection between the individual lamps 5 with standard plugs 8a not shown in more detail. The cables 10 are available in different lengths, so that different distances between the lamps 5 can be realized to each other, or even the lamps 5 can be arranged side by side in two parallel rows. It is possible to connect up to forty bulbs 5 in series to a power connection.
  • The lighting means 5 can be inserted into the base frame 2 and then fixed by simply being pressed with their Velcro strips on the textile strips 7c, 7d. Through the use of Velcro strips on the bulbs 5 and on the textile strips 7c, 7d, the lightbox 1 can be disassembled particularly quickly and is easy to transport so that the light box 1 can also be mounted in hard-to-reach places and only by one person alone. An attachment by locking elements on the bulbs 5 and locking rails on the mounting rails, or brackets on the bulbs 5, the latter enclose the latter or attached to the latter for fastening the lamp 5 to the mounting rails are also conceivable.
  • Depending on the desired illumination pattern, for example, every other tube can be fixed at 90 ° rotated on the mounting rails, so that the latter are in a lateral position in the base frame 2. Subsequently, the reinforcing strips of silicone formed on the tensionable surface material 4 are inserted into the grooves 3 of the base frame 2 and pressed against the base frame 2.
  • If, for example, due to a seasonal set-up, another advertising medium is to be inserted into the light box 1 which has a different format, such as, for example, a longer length, for example those arranged lengthwise Profiles 2b and 2d simply replaced with profiles having a length corresponding to the length of the new advertising medium to be used. In order to continue to ensure a homogeneous illumination of the light box 1, according to the extension of the light box 1 additional light sources 5 are inserted into the base frame 2 and simply connected to the already existing series-connected bulbs 5 and pressed against the textile strips 7c, 7d or in already pre-assembled other fasteners 6 used.
  • If now the base frame 2 are shortened due to a smaller format of the advertising medium to be used, the profile strips 2b and 2d are removed again and replaced by shorter profile strips. The textile strips 7c, 7d are then shortened to the length of the exchanged profile strips and the number of light-emitting elements 5 is reduced accordingly by simply removing the plug from the series connection.
  • If the change in format requires a change in the height of the light box 1, the profile strips 2a, 2c are replaced by profile strips whose length corresponds to the desired height of the light box 1 and the complete set of series-connected light sources 5 is completely replaced by lamps of the appropriate length.
  • Of course, it is possible to form the textile strips 7c, 7d after changing the height of the light box 1 also between the profile strips 2a and 2c and the light source 5 simply perpendicular to it so to arrange extending in the longitudinal direction of the light box 1 instead replace the light source 5 completely, though due to the format of the advertising medium or the base frame 2 brings a more advantageous illumination of the light box 1 with it. This also has the advantage that not only another complete set of bulbs with an adapted length only needs to be purchased due to a format change of the advertising medium. Another way to counter a format change is to arrange the lamps in two or more rows parallel to each other, where they can either continue to be connected in series one behind the other or even connected in parallel.
  • Due to the interchangeability of the individual base profiles in combination with the adaptability of the support wall or the tensionable sheet material 7 and the number and / or the position of the lighting means 5 in the light box 1, a virtually unlimited scalability of the light box 1 is possible. Thus, light boxes can be formed with dimensions up to 3 x 10 m, which makes attractive just for the use of these light boxes in the area of airports and large fashion houses.
  • The tensionable sheet material 7 is formed in this embodiment, within the light box 1 largely reflective. In an alternative embodiment, not shown, the tensionable sheet material 7 is also designed to be translucent, so that it converts the emitted light from the bulbs 5 when exiting the back of the light box 1 in a color effect. If, for example, the surroundings around the light box 1 are to have a reddish appearance in accordance with the motif selected on the front side, then the tensionable surface material 7 can be formed so that the light emerging through the support wall has a red appearance.
  • The support wall according to the invention can also be used via a support wall arrangement 11 according to the invention, which comprises at least one tensioning system and the tensionable surface material 7, in already existing profile systems, in particular in the field of exhibition construction and advertising displays. If an already existing system has a peripheral groove in the edge region of its basic profile, insertion of the supporting wall can be achieved by means of corresponding clamping systems, such as e.g. Reinforcement strip into the groove.
  • If, however, it is a conventional profile without a corresponding groove, it is also possible, for example, by a clamping frame, which is placed on the base profile, the tensionable sheet material to attach to the base frame. Due to the possibility of retrofitting, existing systems can be made more flexible with respect to their transport and improved in terms of scalability.

Claims (12)

  1. A light box (1) with
    - at least three base profiles (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) which in the assembled state form a closed base frame (2) onto which a first tensible plane material (4) to be illuminated can be fitted such that it forms the front side of the base frame (2),
    - at least one illuminant (5) which is disposed within the base frame (2) in order to illuminate the light box (1),
    - at least one power supply, in particular an electrical series connection unit (8) in order to supply the illuminant (5) with current,
    - at least one supporting wall disposed on the rear side of the base frame (2) which has at least one attachment means (6) for releaseably fixing the illuminant (5) and/or the electrical series connection unit (8) within the base frame (2),
    characterised in that the supporting wall is formed by a second, tensible plane material (7) which is attached to the base frame (2) such that it forms the rear side of the light box (1).
  2. The light box (1) according to Claim I,
    characterised in that the first and/or second tensible plane material (4, 7) can be fitted in the base profile (2) by clamping means, in particular reinforcement strips (4a, 7a) formed on a peripheral region of the tensible plane material (4, 7).
  3. The light box according to Claim 1 or 2,
    characterised in that the releaseable connection of the illuminant (5) to the tensible plane material (7) is a snap-lock connection and/or an engagement connection and/or a clamp connection and/or a connection by means of a hook and loop fastener.
  4. The light box (1) according to any of Claims 1 to 3,
    characterised in that at least one recess is provided for mounting the attachment means (6) to the second tensible plane material (7) in which the at least one attachment means (6) can be fitted.
  5. The light box (1) according to Claim 4,
    characterised in that a pin is formed on the attachment means (6) which, in order to attach the attachment means (6) can be passed through the recess formed on the tensible plane material (7) and can be fixed in position by counter means (6a) outside of the space to be illuminated within the light box (1).
  6. The light box (1) according to any preceding claim,
    characterised in that the illuminants (5) can be connected to one another in series by means of a ready-assembled connector system, in particular two illuminants (5) being respectively operable by one electrical series connection unit (8).
  7. The light box (1) according to any preceding claim,
    characterised in that the tensible plane material (7) is made up of several parts, in particular in the form of flexible cross members (7a, 7b), the length of which in particular is changeable, which can be fitted into the base frame (2).
  8. The light box (1) according to any preceding claim,
    characterised in that at least one reinforcement member (9) can be fitted into the base frame (2) in order to reinforce the base frame (2) and/or the second tensible surface material (7) in the region of the attachment means (6).
  9. The light box (1) according to any preceding claim,
    characterised in that the geometric dimensions of the base frame (2) can be adapted to the dimensions of the first and second tensible plane material (4, 7) by changing at least two profiles (2a, 2b, 2c, 2d).
  10. The light box (1) according to any preceding claim,
    characterised in that the at least one electrical series connection unit (8) required for the power supply is pre-fitted on the second tensible plane material (7).
  11. The light box (1) according to any preceding claim,
    characterised in that the supporting wall formed by the tensible plane material (7) reflects the light irradiated by the illuminant (5) or transforms it into a colour effect on the rear side of the light box (1).
  12. A supporting wall arrangement for a light box (1) according to any preceding claim, comprising a supporting wall on which at least one attachment means (6) is fastened for the releaseable fixing of at least one illuminant (5) and/or at least one electrical series connection unit (8), characterised in that the supporting wall is formed by a tensible plane material (7).
