Der erfindungsgemäße Betonstein weist einen Verbundabschnitt auf, der einen Unterkörper, einen Mittelkörper und einen Kopfkörper umfasst, wobei der Unterkörper als Quader ausgebildet ist und eine Tiefe TA aufweist und wobei der Mittelkörper als Trapezsäule ausgebildet ist, welche auf der Seitenfläche steht und eine Tiefe TB aufweist, wobei sich die Tiefe TA des Unterkörpers und Tiefe TB des Mittelkörpers entsprechen und wobei der Kopfkörper als schiefer Pyramidenstumpf ausgebildet ist, welcher sich zu der Seitenfläche des Betonsteins neigt. Als Grund für die erhöhte Qualität von Verbundabschnitten mit einer derartigen Formgebung - es zeigen sich weniger Abplatzungen am Mittelkörper und am Kopfkörper des Verbundabschnitts - wird eine durch die Formgebung des Verbundabschnitts optimierte Betonströmung beim Befüllen und Verdichten der Form angesehen. Es wird angenommen, dass sich ein mit zunehmender Höhe des Verbundabschnitts verringernder waagrechter Querschnitt des Verbundabschnitts positiv auf die Vermeidung von Lufteinschlüssen und wenig verdichteten Bereichen auswirkt. Hinzu kommt die Vermutung, dass der Kopfkörper, welcher mit seinen drei Deckflächen nach oben gerichtet in einen Hauptkörper des Betonsteins mündet; Lufteinschlüsse und wenig verdichtete Bereiche in den Hauptkörper zurückleitet. In der Figur 1 ist eine perspektivische Ansicht eines Ausschnitts eines Betonsteins 1 gezeigt. Der Betonstein 1 Umfasst einen quaderförmigen Hauptkörper 2 und Nocken bzw. Abstandshalter bzw. Verbundabschnitte 3, welche an Seitenflächen 4 angeordnet sind. In der Figur 1 ist nur einer der Verbundabschnitte 3 sichtbar. Der Verbundabschnitt 3 besteht aus einem Unterkörper A, einem Mittelkörper B und einem Kopfkörper C. Der Unterkörper A ist als Quader Q ausgebildet, auf welchem der Mittelkörper B ruht.
