Definitions
- the invention relates to an arrangement of an object with attached information to be secured, such as a coding, identification, PIN number or the like, and a covering layer for concealing the information to be backed up.
- the invention further relates to a method for producing such an arrangement.
- manipulation attempts by unauthorized persons should not be able to be performed unnoticed so that the authorized person can learn about manipulation.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of proposing an object with information to be backed up and a manufacturing method thereof, which consistently ensures a high level of security with respect to manipulation attempts.
- At least one intermediate layer is arranged between the covered by the cover layer information and the object, which is spatially structured so that it prevents the exposure of the information by removing the cover layer.
- the spatial structuring of the intermediate layer consists of recesses that completely penetrate the intermediate layer.
- the spatial structuring of the intermediate layer in a two-dimensional pattern which is formed by the recesses and over which the information to be backed up.
- This pattern can consist of any geometric figures. However, particular preference is given to regular patterns, for example diamond or rectangular patterns. Since this structuring is exactly in the area of the intermediate layer in which the information to be protected is applied to the intermediate layer, the information becomes partial applied to the material of the intermediate layer and comes to lie partially in the recesses. The information that is usually printed, therefore, is present at different levels of the layer structure of the arrangement.
- the print thickness of the information is preferably less than the thickness of the structured intermediate layer.
- the recesses of the structured intermediate layer contained in the partial printing ink are preferably filled with the covering layer. An abusive lifting of the scratch-off label or the intermediate layer by means of a scalpel thus only exposes part information in each case. It is advantageous if the pattern of the structured intermediate layer is designed such that the complete information can not be reconstructed from any of the partial information.
- the structuring is produced with the application of the intermediate layer to the article, preferably by a printing process, in that the recesses are deliberately released during the printing process. It is advantageous if the structured intermediate layer has the same color as the substrate over which it is applied, so that it is very difficult to distinguish it visually optically. Preferably, the color is gray.
- a gray background layer as a further intermediate layer in the printing process in front of the structured intermediate layer on the object.
- z Example, if the object itself is extensively painted or printed over a whole area or printed and at least in the field of information to be applied has a printed in the color of the structured intermediate layer field, or if such a field is integrated in any other way in the article, the structured intermediate layer directly on the object or its outermost coating to be printed.
- further outer layers for example transparent or colored lacquer layers, with certain design elements to the article, before applying the monochromatic background layer and subsequently the same-colored structured intermediate layer in the region of the information to be applied. It is essential in this respect only that the same colored background remains visible through the recesses of the structured intermediate layer.
- the structuring of the intermediate layer is not produced directly with the application of the intermediate layer to the article, but subsequently in a separate working step.
- At least two intermediate layers are first applied to the article, in particular printed, into which recesses are subsequently introduced so that they lie outside those regions of the intermediate layers which are printed in a later step with the information to be protected. These recesses extend over at least two successively applied intermediate layers, which are essentially structurally the same.
- the structuring is preferably arranged on the intermediate layers in such a way that it encloses the area in contours, on which the information to be protected is printed.
- the recesses are punched out after the application of the intermediate layers.
- the punching can be filled in by the cover layer or even remain unfilled. In any case, since the materials of the intermediate layers and the covering layer differ in their material properties, the punching acts as a guide for a scalpel applied for lifting off the covering layer.
- both embodiments described above can be combined, since the recesses in each case relate to different regions of the intermediate layers.
- the article is then sequentially transferred to e.g. a conventional ink layer and a structured ink layer applied, in which the contiguous circumferential recess is then punched before or after the structured ink layer has been provided with the information to be printed.
- FIG. 1 shows an assembly 1, consisting of an object 2 and arranged on it, smaller area scratcher 3, wherein the object 2, on the information 4 is applied secured, is a prepaid card, for example, a prepaid card (prepaid card).
- a prepaid card for example, a prepaid card (prepaid card).
- the arrangement 1 comprises a scratch-off field 3 which is applied to the prepaid card 2 and is applied as an opaque cover layer to a layer structure 8, 9 printed on the prepaid card 2.
- the opaque covering layer of the scratch-off field 3 of the prepaid card 2 can be easily rubbed away with a fingernail or other suitable object to expose underlying information 4.
- the layers 8, 9 located under the scratching field 3 are in FIG. 1 for illustrative purposes (dashed lines). They are completely hidden in the top view of an unused card by the scratch box 3.
- FIG. 3 shows the layer structure of the arrangement 1 in cross section.
- a card carrier 5 made of a suitable plastic with a preferably full-surface color printing 6, preferably a four-color printing, printed to give the value card 2 a particular color scheme.
- a monochrome gray field 12 is printed, which is preferably about 5.5 ⁇ 40 mm in size.
- a protective lacquer layer 7, preferably of a high-gloss lacquer, is applied over the entire value card 2 via the color layer 6, 12.
- the value card 2 in the form of a Plastic card completely made.
- On the gray field now more layers 8, 9 and the information to be backed up 4, as well as the final scratching field 3 are applied.
- FIG. 1 and 2 show separately two combinable embodiments of the present invention, while FIG. 3 outlined the layer structure of a combined embodiment.
- the structured ink layer 9 of FIG. 1 is plotted as a regular diamond pattern on the value card 2. Recesses 10 between the diamonds of the diamond pattern are preferably 0.5 mm wide. As an example, the structured ink layer 9 is applied to the object 2 or to the underlying further layer 8 by means of an offset process. The recesses 10 of the structured ink layer 9 leave corresponding areas of the layer 8 underneath free. The layer 8 applied to the prepaid card 2 under the structured ink layer 9 is optional and visible through the recesses 10.
- the layer 8 can either be a further color layer, which preferably has the same color as the structured color layer 9 itself, or a lacquer layer, for example of a UV lacquer or another suitable lacquer.
- the gray area 12 of the prepaid card 2 is visible through its recesses 10, since the protective lacquer layer 7 is generally transparent. It should be noted in this embodiment, that the visible through the recesses 10 of the structured ink layer 9 underlying layer or surface has the same color as the structured ink layer 9, regardless of whether a further ink layer 8 or in the prepaid card. 2 integrated box 12 is visible. By using the same Colors is the structured layer 9 in a manipulation attempt very difficult to distinguish from the underlying layer.
- the color layer 9 can be structured differently than the illustrated diamond pattern, for example by regular or random patterns or geometric figures. It is important, however, that due to the structuring, the information 4 to be protected comes to lie in different levels of the layer structure in such a way that the complete information 4 can not be reconstructed from the knowledge of only one layer.
- the information 4 to be protected for example a numerical code, a PIN number or another coding, is likewise printed as a color layer on the structured ink layer 9.
- the structuring of the ink layer 9 causes the information 4 lies partially on the raised structures of the structured ink layer 9 and partially enters the recesses 10 and lie on the underlying further color or lacquer layer 8 or the lacquer layer 7 of the prepaid card 2 comes.
- the information 4 is distributed to different levels of the layer structure according to their structuring, so that the information in each case is only partially exposed by an abusive exposure or stripping of one of the layers.
- several structured layers can be printed to distribute the information 4 on more than two levels.
- the actual scratch-off field 3 is applied in the form of a cover layer, wherein the cover layer also fills the recesses 10, so that in a manipulation attempt by means of a scalpel, which is set between the cover layer 3 and the structured ink layer 9, in the Recesses 10 printed portions of the information 4 remain hidden.
- a scalpel which is set between the cover layer 3 and the structured ink layer 9, in the Recesses 10 printed portions of the information 4 remain hidden.
- At the in FIG. 2 at least two layers 8, 9 are similarly structured by a punching 11 penetrating both layers.
- the punching 11 preferably runs on the edge of the later scratch-off field 3 and surrounds the area of the information to be protected 4.
- the punches 11 filled with the cover layer or an adhesive used for this purpose.
- the function of the punch 11 is in an abusive attempt to lift the scratching field 3 with a scalpel, the scalpel as deeply as possible in the layer structure on the ticket 2 inferred, so that, if possible, first, the layers are irreversibly and visibly damaged and second, the information 4 is completely in the off-set portion of the layer structure and is inaccessible.
- the ink layer 9 is patterned by pattern-forming recesses 10 and a circumferential, punched recess 11, while the underlying ink layer 8 has only the punch 11.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement of an object with attached information to be secured, such as a coding, identification, PIN number or the like, and a covering layer for concealing the information to be backed up. The invention further relates to a method for producing such an arrangement.
It is known to cover secret numbers, PIN numbers or other secret information on value documents such as bank or credit cards, prepaid phone cards, smart cards and the like by means of a removable, opaque cover layer, which is often designed as a cover sticker or scratch-off label. Usually, the authorized owner of the value document removes the cover layer by scratching to learn the information intended for him.
However, manipulation attempts by unauthorized persons should not be able to be performed unnoticed so that the authorized person can learn about manipulation. Likewise, it is important that a person who has a value document with an authentic scratch tag can be sure that no manipulation has taken place.
The invention is therefore based on the object of proposing an object with information to be backed up and a manufacturing method thereof, which consistently ensures a high level of security with respect to manipulation attempts.
This object is achieved by an arrangement and a method having the features of the independent claims. In dependent claims advantageous embodiments and developments of the invention are given.
In an arrangement according to the invention, consisting of an object and a smaller area covering layer, at least one intermediate layer is arranged between the covered by the cover layer information and the object, which is spatially structured so that it prevents the exposure of the information by removing the cover layer. The spatial structuring of the intermediate layer consists of recesses that completely penetrate the intermediate layer.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the spatial structuring of the intermediate layer in a two-dimensional pattern, which is formed by the recesses and over which the information to be backed up. This pattern can consist of any geometric figures. The print thickness of the information is preferably less than the thickness of the structured intermediate layer. When applying the covering layer, the recesses of the structured intermediate layer contained in the partial printing ink are preferably filled with the covering layer. An abusive lifting of the scratch-off label or the intermediate layer by means of a scalpel thus only exposes part information in each case. It is advantageous if the pattern of the structured intermediate layer is designed such that the complete information can not be reconstructed from any of the partial information.
The structuring is produced with the application of the intermediate layer to the article, preferably by a printing process, in that the recesses are deliberately released during the printing process. It is advantageous if the structured intermediate layer has the same color as the substrate over which it is applied, so that it is very difficult to distinguish it visually optically. Preferably, the color is gray.
On the one hand, it is possible to apply such a gray background layer as a further intermediate layer in the printing process in front of the structured intermediate layer on the object. On the other hand, z. Example, if the object itself is extensively painted or printed over a whole area or printed and at least in the field of information to be applied has a printed in the color of the structured intermediate layer field, or if such a field is integrated in any other way in the article, the structured intermediate layer directly on the object or its outermost coating to be printed. Of course, in this context, it is also possible to apply further outer layers, for example transparent or colored lacquer layers, with certain design elements to the article, before applying the monochromatic background layer and subsequently the same-colored structured intermediate layer in the region of the information to be applied. It is essential in this respect only that the same colored background remains visible through the recesses of the structured intermediate layer.
In a second preferred embodiment, the structuring of the intermediate layer is not produced directly with the application of the intermediate layer to the article, but subsequently in a separate working step. At least two intermediate layers are first applied to the article, in particular printed, into which recesses are subsequently introduced so that they lie outside those regions of the intermediate layers which are printed in a later step with the information to be protected. These recesses extend over at least two successively applied intermediate layers, which are essentially structurally the same.
The structuring is preferably arranged on the intermediate layers in such a way that it encloses the area in contours, on which the information to be protected is printed. Preferably, the recesses are punched out after the application of the intermediate layers. After applying the information to be backed up, the punching can be filled in by the cover layer or even remain unfilled. In any case, since the materials of the intermediate layers and the covering layer differ in their material properties, the punching acts as a guide for a scalpel applied for lifting off the covering layer.
By the punches such a scalpel as far as possible in the intermediate layers down, ie in the direction of the object, out, so that the information to be backed up on the possible lifted layers is not visible from below. A scalpel is thus directed into a part of the paint or varnish layer, which carries no information.
In principle, both embodiments described above can be combined, since the recesses in each case relate to different regions of the intermediate layers. In a combined embodiment, the article is then sequentially transferred to e.g. a conventional ink layer and a structured ink layer applied, in which the contiguous circumferential recess is then punched before or after the structured ink layer has been provided with the information to be printed.

The
