Claims (22)

  1. Modulares Schaltgerät (1, 16, 35), das zur Montage in einem Gehäuse bestimmt ist und zwei Hauptflächen und von einer zur anderen Hauptfläche verlaufende Seitenflächen umfasst, wobei die hintere Seitenfläche (4, 19, 38) Mittel (5, 20) zum Halten am Gehäuse aufweist und die vordere Seitenfläche (6, 21, 39) ein optisches Kennzeichnungsorgan (7, 22', 40) aufweist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es ein Kennzeichenmagazin mit einer Vielzahl optischer Kennzeichen (9', 27, 42') umfasst, die zur Anbringung in dem Kennzeichnungsorgan (7, 22', 40) geeignet sind, wobei der Zugang zu dem Kennzeichenmagazin zur Auswahl des in dem optischen Kennzeichnungsorgan (7, 22', 40) sichtbar zu machenden optischen Kennzeichens ausschließlich über die Hauptflächen (2, 3, 17, 18, 36, 37) des Schaltgeräts erfolgt.
  2. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kennzeichenmagazin auf einer der Hauptflächen (2) des Schaltgeräts (1) angeordnet ist.
  3. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kennzeichenmagazin eine Aufnahme (13) umfasst, die in einer der Hauptflächen (2) ausgebildet ist.
  4. Schaltgerät nach einem der Ansprüche 2 oder 3,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kennzeichenmagazin Clipmittel (14) für die optischen Kennzeichen (9') aufweist.
  5. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 4,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kennzeichenmagazin eine Aufschnappschräge (15) aufweist, die den Clipmitteln für die optischen Kennzeichen (9') zugehörig ist.
  6. Schaltgerät nach einem der Ansprüche 2 bis 5,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das optische Kennzeichnungsorgan (7) eine Aufnahme aufweist, die ein Clipmittel für die optischen Kennzeichen (9, 9') bildet.
  7. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 6,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Lichtquelle (8) aufweist, die in dem optischen Kennzeichnungsorgan (7) und gegenüber der Aufnahme angeordnet ist, die ein Clipmittel für die optischen Kennzeichen (9, 9) bildet.
  8. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 1,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das optische Kennzeichnungsorgan (22', 40) das Kennzeichenmagazin enthält und es zudem Mittel zur Auswahl des in dem optischen Kennzeichnungsorgan (22', 40) sichtbar zu machenden optischen Kennzeichens (27, 42) umfasst.
  9. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 8,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kennzeichenmagazin eine Platte (26) umfasst, welche die optischen Kennzeichen (27) trägt und parallel zur vorderen Seitenfläche (21) angeordnet ist.
  10. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 9,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Auswahlmittel eine mit dem optischen Kennzeichnungsorgan (22') fest verbundene Zunge (28) und in der Platte (26) ausgebildete Einschnitte (29) aufweisen.
  11. Schaltgerät nach einem der Ansprüche 9 oder 10,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das optische Kennzeichnungsorgan (22') einen Deckel (22) aufweist, der mit einem Fenster (24) versehen ist, wobei die Platte (26) im Deckel (22) angebracht ist.
  12. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 11,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Platte (26) im Deckel (22) translatorisch beweglich angebracht ist.
  13. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 12,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Auswahlmittel eine aus der Platte (26') vorspringende Betätigungslasche (31) aufweisen, welche die Translationsbewegung der Platte (26') bezüglich des Deckels (22') auszulösen vermag, wobei die Betätigungslasche (31) ausschließlich über eine Hauptfläche (17, 18) des Schaltgeräts (16) zugänglich ist.
  14. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 8,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Kennzeichenmagazin eine drehbare Trommel (43) umfasst, welche die optischen Kennzeichen (42) trägt, und dass das optische Kennzeichnungsorgan (40) ein in der vorderen Seitenfläche (39) ausgebildetes Fenster (41) aufweist, und dass die Auswahlmittel Mittel (45) zum Betätigen der drehbaren Trommel (43) umfassen, welche die drehbare Trommel (43) solchermaßen winkelmäßig auszurichten vermögen, dass das in dem optischen Kennzeichnungsorgan (40) sichtbar zu machende optische Kennzeichen (42) gegenüber dem Fenster (41) angeordnet ist.
  15. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 14,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die drehbare Trommel einen Zylinder aufweist, der um seine Längsachse herum drehbar montiert ist.
  16. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 15,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Zylinder (46) durchsichtig und an seiner Innenfläche mit Winkelkeilen (47) versehen ist, welche die optischen Kennzeichen (42) zwischen sich zu halten vermögen.
  17. Schaltgerät nach Anspruch 15,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Zylinder durch Aneinanderfügen der optischen Kennzeichen (42) mittels Verbindungsschienen (48) gebildet ist.
  18. Schaltgerät nach einem der Ansprüche 15 bis 17,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das optische Kennzeichnungsorgan (40) ferner eine Lichtquelle (44) umfasst, die auf der Drehachse des Zylinders angeordnet ist.
  19. Schaltgerät nach einem der Ansprüche 14 bis 18,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Mittel zum Betätigen der drehbaren Trommel ein drehbares Bedienorgan aufweisen, das mit einem Kopf (45) versehen ist, welcher ausschließlich von einer der Hauptflächen (36) aus zu bedienen ist.
  20. Elektroinstallation mit einem Schaltgerät (1, 16, 35) nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 19, wobei die Hauptflächen (2, 3, 17, 18, 36, 37) des Schaltgeräts nicht zugänglich sind.
  21. Installation nach Anspruch 20,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie wenigstens zwei der Schaltgeräte (1, 16, 35) umfasst, die solchermaßen aneinander angeordnet sind, dass eine Hauptfläche eines jeden Schaltgeräts nicht zugänglich ist.
  22. Installation nach einem der Ansprüche 20 oder 21,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie ein Gehäuse aufweist, in dem das Schaltgerät (1, 16, 35) gehalten ist, wobei das Gehäuse den Zugang zu den Hauptflächen (2, 3, 17, 18, 36, 37) verwehrt.
