Abstract

The invention relates to a wall work table comprising a worktop (20) and a separate extension plate (25) arranged therebehind which are mounted on two brackets (10) whose rear edges (11) are provided with hooks (12) for fixing to wall rails (13). The worktop (20) and extension plate (25) depth is dimensioned with regard to the depth of the brackets (10) in such a way that a space (26) for passing connecting cables or supply lines for devices placed on the worktop (20) is arranged behind the extension plate (25). Said extension plate is produced by folding a metal sheet (30) and is provided with downwardly projected edges which are engageable into grooves (15) on the top side of the brackets (10), thereby locking the extension plate (25) in such a way that it is prevented from moving.

Description

Bekannt sind Schreib- oder Arbeitstische aus einer Arbeitsplatte, die seitlich in Wandarmaturen eingehängt werden. Ferner bekannt sind Wandregale, deren Fachböden an in vertikale Wandschienen eingehängten Konsolen befestigt werden. (siehe z.B. Claims

A wall work table comprising:
two brackets (10) provided at their rear edges (11) with hooks (12) for engaging wall uprights (13);

a work plate (20) adapted to be placed upon the brackets (10) and having a depth that is smaller than the depth of the brackets (10) by a first amount (M1); and

an extension plate (25) adapted to be placed upon the brackets (10) at the rear of the work plate (20) and having a depth that is smaller than the first amount (M1) by a second amount (M2),

characterised in that

the extension plate (25) is formed of a substantially rectangular blank of sheet metal (30) having bent down side walls (32, 35),

the shorter side walls (35) overlap the brackets (10) and the longer side walls (32) are shorter than the spacing between the brackets (10), and

at least one of the longer side walls (32) near its bending line (36) extends beyond the width of the main portion of the extension plate (25) by two attachments (38) adapted for engagement into grooves (15) of the brackets (10).
The work table of claim 1, wherein the first amount (M1) is in the range from 100 to 150 mm and the second amount (M2) is in the range from 10 to 30 mm.
The work table of claim 1, wherein the longer side walls (32) of the extension plate (25) have flanges (33) which are bent toward one another.
The work table of any preceding claim, wherein the brackets (10) have windows (16) underneath the extension plate (25) for feeding cables or conductors therethrough.
The work table of claim 4, wherein the brackets (10), starting from the wall uprights (13), have a decreasing height over part of their depth and, subsequently, a substantially constant height.
