Definitions
- the invention relates to the problem of securing high-rise construction sites and where the staff working thereon, especially the posts of guardrails on site and the method of fixing these poles.
- the document GB 2253877 A (HERBERT MICHAEL, SUMMERFIELD BRYAN JOHN) 23.09.1992 discloses a construction railing post having a fastening flange. This flange is designed to be attached to the base of a metal beam of a building via fastening brackets. This type of attachment has the advantage of allowing easy and precise mounting but has the disadvantage of reducing the possibilities of attachment to any vertical metal beams of the building.
- Construction railings comprising posts having a clamp device for engaging the edge of a floor or slab are also known. Such posts are certainly positionable almost anywhere a floor or slab edge is available but have the disadvantage of covering a portion of the upper surface of said floor or slab, thus preventing the establishment of topcoats such as a screed, tiles or others. With such guardrails, staff are forced to remove the posts at these locations and tend to work in unsafe conditions.
- the present invention provides a method of attaching at least one building railing post according to claim 1 and a post according to claim 10.
- the invention allows the securing of the posts of a guardrail to the structure of a building site without them encumbering the work surface.
- Figures 1 to 4 illustrate a guardrail post according to the invention and an example of fixing thereof during concrete work.
- Figures 5 and 6 illustrate the same railing post according to the invention at the end of the work.
- Figure 5 is an elevational view
- Figure 6 is a plan view.
- FIG. 7 illustrates a guardrail post according to the invention and a particular use of the orifice provided in the bottom of the post.
- Figure 8 illustrates a particular method of setting up a first railing post using the bottom hole of a second post located above the first.
- Figures 9 and 10 illustrate the securing of a stairwell or elevator by means of poles and the fixing method according to the invention.
- the guardrail post of FIGS. 1 to 4 consists of an elongate part 1 and a fastening part 3.
- the elongate part is intended to support the rails 2 in order to protect the workers from the building site in relation to to a fall.
- the elongated portion and the fixing piece are preferably separate to facilitate disassembly and temporary reassembly during the intervention on the protection.
- the fastener 3 is composed of a fastening flange 3 ', a connecting piece 3 "and a sleeve-shaped piece 3"' intended to engage the elongate piece 1.
- the connecting piece 3 "has a hole 3""
- the fixing flange is intended to be fixed on the edge of a floor or slab or on the right face of a wall to be secured.
- Figures 5 and 6 show clearly that the post does not encumber in any way the upper face of the slab 4, greatly facilitating the following operations while maintaining optimum security.
- the 4 "screed as well as the 4" finish (tiles for example) can therefore be applied without hindrance to the height of the posts.
- Figures 1 to 4 illustrate a particular mode of fixing the pole to a casting slab. Indeed, the fastener 3 of the post is put in place before pouring the slab 4 'taking advantage of the fastening elements 6 of the lateral formwork of the slab.
- the elements 6 are anchored to the structural elements 5 of the horizontal formwork to support the slab formwork plates. These elements are in the form of "L" lying and are otherwise present regardless of the presence of guardrails.
- the fastener 3 is positioned between two fasteners 6 of the formwork and a stud 7 is positioned horizontally through the orifice 3 "while engaging each of the fasteners of the formwork
- the fastening part 3 is thus anchored to the structure via the fastening elements of the formwork and can not move except in the measure of the necessary mechanical clearance, and therefore, at this stage, it already ensures the fixing of the post and thus The safety is thus ensured even before the slab is poured in.
- Figure 4 shows that the fastening flange is wedged between two shuttering plates and its surface is flush with the latter.
- non-rectilinear metal rods are put in place through holes drilled in the fastening flange.
- the concrete will drown these fastening means and fix them rigid
- the post remains rigidly fixed to the freshly poured slab so that continuous safety is ensured. Finishes such as, for example, screed and flooring can be implemented safely and without discomfort.
- it is then sufficient to cut the fastening means 8 for example by means of an angle grinder and dismantle the post or poles.
- Figures 7 and 8 show how the operations of mounting and dismounting of the poles can be ensured with a maximum level of security.
- the port 3 "" of the pole attachment piece can also be used to receive the carabiner of a safety harness 9.
- Figure 8 shows two floors or slabs of a building that can include many more. For assembly, an intervention from the formwork plan, observing the conventional safety measures is sufficient to achieve the anchoring of the fastener 3 to the edge of the floor. For disassembly, simply proceed in reverse, that is to say, to start disassembly at the lowest level while securing the room to the next higher level and so on. Disassembly at the last level will be done by observing conventional security measures.
- FIG 9 shows the securing of an elevator shaft by means of a floor placed on several pole fasteners whose elongated parts are removed.
- Elevator cages are, in fact, very dangerous places because they present not only a risk of falling for people but also a risk of falling objects that can hurt people working at lower levels. Only a floor can prevent falling objects.
- the anchoring on the vertical face of the wall makes it possible to secure the elevator shaft while leaving the upper surface surrounding the cage completely free, and the modular design of the two-part dismountable posts allows two types of protection, namely either by laying a floor on the fasteners, either by a railing consisting of anchored posts via the fasteners, as in Figure 10.
- the system is fully recoverable and reusable, with the exception of the dowel embedded in the concrete.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the problem of securing high-rise construction sites and where the staff working thereon, especially the posts of guardrails on site and the method of fixing these poles.
Construction railings comprising posts having a clamp device for engaging the edge of a floor or slab are also known.
There is therefore a need for a railing positionable anywhere along the hazardous areas of a site and encumbering in no way the upper surface of said area. This is the problem that the present invention proposes to solve.
The present invention provides a method of attaching at least one building railing post according to
The invention allows the securing of the posts of a guardrail to the structure of a building site without them encumbering the work surface.
Particular embodiments of the invention are disclosed in the subclaims.
Figures 1 to 4 illustrate a guardrail post according to the invention and an example of fixing thereof during concrete work.
Figures 5 and 6 illustrate the same railing post according to the invention at the end of the work. Figure 5 is an elevational view, Figure 6 is a plan view.
La figure 7 illustre un poteau de garde-corps selon l'invention et un usage particulier de l'orifice prévu dans le bas du poteau.FIG. 7 illustrates a guardrail post according to the invention and a particular use of the orifice provided in the bottom of the post.
Figure 8 illustrates a particular method of setting up a first railing post using the bottom hole of a second post located above the first.
Figures 9 and 10 illustrate the securing of a stairwell or elevator by means of poles and the fixing method according to the invention.
The guardrail post of FIGS. 1 to 4 consists of an
Figures 1 to 4 illustrate a particular mode of fixing the pole to a casting slab. Indeed, the
Figures 7 and 8 show how the operations of mounting and dismounting of the poles can be ensured with a maximum level of security. The
Elevator cages are, in fact, very dangerous places because they present not only a risk of falling for people but also a risk of falling objects that can hurt people working at lower levels. Only a floor can prevent falling objects. The anchoring on the vertical face of the wall makes it possible to secure the elevator shaft while leaving the upper surface surrounding the cage completely free, and the modular design of the two-part dismountable posts allows two types of protection, namely either by laying a floor on the fasteners, either by a railing consisting of anchored posts via the fasteners, as in Figure 10.
The system is fully recoverable and reusable, with the exception of the dowel embedded in the concrete.
