- the invention also relates to a gliding board equipped with such an interface device.
- Interface devices between a shoe retainer and a gliding board are known in the prior art. They serve in particular to isolate the retaining elements of the gliding board and they allow to elevate the shoe. They are also used to allow the position adjustment of the retaining elements with respect to the gliding board. On the other hand, they are often designed in such a way that the restraining elements interfere as little as possible with the flexing of the ski.
- the document DE 100 63 923 discloses an interface device for receiving front and rear fasteners.
- the interface device is constituted by two separate rails and arranged parallel to the gliding board and on which the front and rear fastening elements can slide.
- Such a construction raises the problem of deformation of the gliding board in torsion along its longitudinal axis.
- the moments of torsion which are exerted along this axis are called moments Mx.
- the object of the present invention is to provide an interface device between a shoe retaining element and a gliding board which makes it possible to overcome the limitations posed by the devices known in the prior art.
- the invention aims to provide an interface device between a shoe retainer and a gliding board that ensures an elevation of the shoe, which does not change the behavior of the gliding board, in particular in flexion and improves the behavior of the gliding board, in particular a better resistance to the deformation thereof to the forces which generate moments of torsion along its longitudinal axis (Mx), notably allowing precise guidance of the gliding board, a better grip on the entire length of it while improving the reaction capabilities of the gliding board.
- Mx longitudinal axis
- Another object of the invention is to provide an interface device which makes it possible to rapidly mount the retaining elements on the gliding board.
- the invention also aims to provide an interface device that improves the dynamic behavior of the gliding board, in flexion and / or torsion.

- the shim 72 comprises two lateral branches 15, 16 interconnected by their end closest to the rear portion 102.
- the shim 72 includes a average thickness of about 10 mm. The thickness narrows towards the front of the lift block and increases slightly towards the rear of the latter.
- a thickness of 10 mm is not a limiting feature of the invention and it will be possible to make shims of elevation having greater or smaller thicknesses depending on the board of gliding on which the interface device will be fixed and according to the envisaged practice, slalom skiing, downhill skiing, freestyle skiing, freeride skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, telemark, ski touring, etc.

- the stiffener 82 is constituted by an aluminum plate with a thickness of about 1 mm. It comprises openings 18, designed to be traversed by the pins 17 of the shim 72. The stiffener is thus fixed to the gliding board via the shim 72.
- the stiffener 82 could also be thicker than 1 mm and in particular have a non-constant thickness and possibly have formings or bosses to adjust its rigidity.
- the figure 10 which does not form part of the invention, shows a sectional view of the front part 92 of the interface device 52. In this figure, it can be seen that the thickness E2 of the upstand 72 is greater than that E1 of the stiffener 82.
- the stiffener 82 comprises a first planar portion 19 which is intended to be placed on the gliding board and which supports the right lateral branch 152 of the upstand block 72 and a second flat portion 20 which is intended to be placed on the gliding board and supporting the left side branch 16.
- the stiffener 82 comprises two secant portions 21 which extend each of the first and second planar portions 19, 20 outwards and make an angle ⁇ substantially equal to 90 ° with said first and second planar portions.
- the first flat portion 19 and the second flat portion 20 are interconnected by a bridge 232, which is raised relative to said planar portions 19, 20. That is to say, if it is considered that the elevation of the upper surface of the first and second flat portions 19 and 20 relative to the upper surface of the gliding board is equal to H1, then the elevation of the upper surface of the bridge 232 is H2, which is greater than H1.
- the thickness of the bridge 232, E4, is relatively small compared to the total thickness of the interface device, which is equal to "E1 + E2". In the present case, the thickness E4 is substantially equal to E1.
- the lower surface of the bridge 232 has an elevation, H5, with respect to the lower surface of the interface device. The elevation H5 is not equal to zero. Thus the bottom surface of the bridge 232 is not in contact with the upper surface of the gliding board.
- the elevation of the bridge 232 relative to the planar portions 19, 20 has the effect of increasing the torsional strength of the interface device.
- each of the right and left branches 15, 16 is supported on the bridge 232. This improves the holding of the interface device when the retaining elements attached thereto are subjected to forces having a component transverse to the longitudinal plane of the gliding board.
- the figure 11 which does not form part of the invention, shows a view from above of the stiffener 82. It can be seen that the bridge 232 is present only in the central zone of the stiffener.
- the two planar portions 19 and 20 are also connected to each other at the rear end of the stiffener 82. Of course, it can be envisaged that the two planar portions are connected to one another over their entire length. . In addition to the openings 18, the stiffener 82 is also traversed by lightening cuts 31.
- the shim 72 includes two rails 29 which extend longitudinally along the entire length thereof. As for the rear rails 28 described above, these front rails 29 are used for placing the front retainer on the interface device.
- the interface device 52 also includes a blade 30 for longitudinally locking the front and rear retainers on the front and rear rails.
- the invention is not limited to the few embodiments described here by way of example, but also covers all equivalent embodiments.

The object of the present invention is to provide an interface device between a shoe retaining element and a gliding board which makes it possible to overcome the limitations posed by the devices known in the prior art. In particular, the invention aims to provide an interface device between a shoe retainer and a gliding board that ensures an elevation of the shoe, which does not change the behavior of the gliding board, in particular in flexion and improves the behavior of the gliding board, in particular a better resistance to the deformation thereof to the forces which generate moments of torsion along its longitudinal axis (Mx), notably allowing precise guidance of the gliding board, a better grip on the entire length of it while improving the reaction capabilities of the gliding board.
Another object of the invention is to provide an interface device which makes it possible to rapidly mount the retaining elements on the gliding board.
The invention also aims to provide an interface device that improves the dynamic behavior of the gliding board, in flexion and / or torsion.
- ladite branche latérale droite et ladite branche latérale gauche servant à supporter et à fixer ledit au moins un élément de retenue sur la planche de glisse;
- a right lateral branch having a lower surface that can be placed on said gliding board,
- a left lateral branch disposed parallel to said right lateral branch and having a lower surface that can be placed on said gliding board,
- said right side branch and said left side branch for supporting and securing said at least one retainer on the gliding board;
In a first embodiment of the invention, the interface device consists of a front part which has two side branches and a rear part which comprises a part made mainly of a single main element.
Preferably, said bridge is higher than said lower surface of said right lateral branch.
Preferably, the thickness of the bridge is less than 40% of the value of the total thickness of the interface device.
Preferably, the lower surface of the bridge has a non-zero elevation with the lower surface of the interface device so that the bottom surface of the bridge is not in contact with the upper surface of the gliding board.
In a second embodiment of the invention, the front part of the interface device comprises a shim and a stiffener, the latter being placed under the shim and also providing a function of distribution of the pressures exerted by the ski on the snow. The brace comprises two parallel branches on each of which is arranged a rail for fixing the retaining elements, a bridge connecting the two branches to improve the resistance to deformation of the entire board and glide interface device when this assembly is subjected to transverse forces to the longitudinal plane of the gliding board. Preferably the bridge is part of the stiffener and is constituted by a raised portion of the stiffener.
Due to its longitudinal extension the stiffener, at its relative fineness, relative to the wedge enhancement, the fact that it is made of a material of greater density than the wedge raises and thanks to the fact that it is placed under the latter, that is to say closer to the upper surface of the gliding board, and therefore closer to the neutral fiber of the gliding board, the stiffener does not change the dynamic behavior very little . The shim must have the minimum effect on the behavior of the ski, despite its thickness more consistent than that of the stiffener.
Preferably, the stiffener, and therefore the bridge is made of a material more noble than the wedge raiser. For example in aluminum, or in composite material, when the raising wedge is made of plastic. Or, the stiffener may be made of a more rigid plastic material having a higher density than the plastic material used to make the wedge.

The
The
The first
The elevation of the
In addition, each of the right and left branches 15, 16 is supported on the
The
The
The invention is not limited to the few embodiments described here by way of example, but also covers all equivalent embodiments. Notably, although only interface devices equipped with rails on which the retaining elements are slidable, permitting positional adjustment of the latter, have been described, the invention can also be applied to the interface devices for which the retaining elements are fixed by screws or by any other means of attachment.
