Claims (16)

  1. Folding machine, in particular for a rotary press, which is designed to fold signatures, of the type comprising:

    - a conveying element (28) which extends around the counter-pressure roller (12), surrounds the blade roller (10) at least partially, and is designed to convey the strip (4) and/or a signature cut from the strip (4) at least downstream from the cutting location (19), and extends in the axial gap (32) when the blade (20) co-operates with the counter-pressure elements (26), characterised in that the blade (20) extends above the axial gap (32), and in that the conveying element (28) extends in the axial gap (32) at a distance (e) from the blade (20), when the blade (20) co-operates with the counter-pressure elements (26).

  7. Folding machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the counter-pressure roller (12) supports one, and in particular a single counter-pressure (26) element assembly (25).

  11. Folding machine according to claim 9 or claim 10, characterised in that the conveying element (28) is wound on the blade roller (10) upstream from the cutting location, and is designed to retain the strip (4) when the latter is being cut.
  12. Folding machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a single set of one or a plurality of first conveying elements (28) is wound on the blade roller (10) as far as a location for transfer of the signature, and in that this set is designed to transport the signatures from the cutting location to the transfer location.
  13. Folding machine according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the folding machine comprises a first set of conveying elements consisting of a plurality of first conveying elements (28) which surround the counter-pressure roller, and are imbricated with a second set of conveying elements consisting of second conveying elements (30), the two sets of conveying elements being designed to transfer a signature from the first set of conveying elements to the second set of conveying elements.
  14. Folding machine according to claim 13, characterised in that the second set of conveying elements is wound on the blade roller (10), and is designed to retain the cut signatures on the surface of the blade roller (10), the speed of the conveying elements of the second set of conveying elements (30) being identical to the tangential speed of the blade roller (10).
  15. Folding machine according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that it is designed to drive each conveying element (28) at a speed (V3) which is equal to, or greater than, the speed of transport of the strip (V1).
  16. Folding machine according to any one of claims 1 to 15, characterised in that it is designed to drive each conveying element (28) at a speed which is greater than the speed of transport of the strip (V1), and is less than, or equal to, the speed of transport of the signatures (V2) and in particular is strictly less than the speed of transport of the signatures (V2).
