Description

The present invention relates to a coaxial connector with quick lock, which is designed to receive a complementary coaxial connector, wherein coaxial connector and complementary coaxial connector with a coupling member of the quick lock are connected to each other, wherein the coaxial connector and the complementary coaxial connector each having an inner conductor forming inner conductor part and an outer conductor ausbildendes Have outer conductor part, wherein the coaxial connector, a contact element is arranged such that it is arranged at coaxial plugged between the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector and the outer conductor part of the complementary coaxial connector, according to the preamble of claim 1.

From the EP 1337008 A2 is known an electrical connector with quick-lock, having a first connecting element and a second connecting element, which are connected to a coupling member with each other and form an inner conductor and an outer conductor. An outer conductor of the second connecting element forms an electrical contact on the front side, and a spring-elastic contact element is arranged between the first connecting element and the second connecting element. In order to achieve a well-defined contact with good passive intermodulation and low RF radiation, the contact element is designed as an annular disc, which rests against the axial voltage between the two outer conductors of these and forms circumferential closed contact surfaces.

However, this arrangement has the disadvantage that there is neither a defined contact plane nor a defined contact zone. This is mainly due to the fact that the length compensation required for the quick release and the contacting itself are carried out at one and the same location. As a result, the contact point can be located at different locations and the exact course of the current along the outer conductor of the electrical connector is neither predetermined nor predictable at this point. This significantly affects the RF characteristics of this connector.

Further, on US 2003 / 0027435A1 which discloses all features of the preamble of claim 1.

The invention has for its object to provide a connector of o.g. Type with respect to contacting and RF characteristics to improve.

This object is achieved by a connector of o.g. Art solved with the features characterized in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the further claims.

In a coaxial connector of o.g. Art is inventively provided that the contact element is formed as a sleeve having a first end and a second end, wherein a first end of the sleeve has a first electrical contact for a frontal contact region of the outer conductor part of the complementary coaxial connector and a second end of the sleeve has a second electrical contact formed with the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector, and that an elastic, electrically non-conductive length compensation element is provided which abuts with a first side on the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector and with an opposite second side on the sleeve in a region spaced from the electrical contacts.

This has the advantage that the function of the Außenleiterkontaktierung on the one hand and the length compensation for the quick lock on the other hand are spatially separated. As a result, the current flow along the outer conductor parts of the connector is defined and predictable. This has improved RF characteristics of the connector.

A maximum length compensation in the axial direction is achieved in that the length compensation element is arranged such that it is clamped in interconnected Koaxialsteckverbindern in the axial direction between the sleeve and outer conductor part of the coaxial connector.

Zweckmäßigerweise schlägt das Längenausgleichselement mit der ersten Seite an einer Stirnseite des Außenleiterteiles des Koaxialsteckverbinders an.Conveniently, the length compensation element strikes with the first side on an end face of the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector.

Preferably, the second electrical contact is formed in the radial direction between the sleeve and the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector and, when the coaxial connectors are plugged together, the first electrical contact in the axial direction between the sleeve and the outer conductor part of the complementary coaxial connector.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the sleeve at the first end on a radially outwardly rising collar and is axially slotted at the second end opposite the collar, so that in the radial direction elastically deflectable contact fingers are formed. In the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector, a recess is preferably formed, wherein the second end of the sleeve engages at least with the contact fingers in the recess and cooperates with this, that mated with Koaxialsteckverbindem the frontal electrical contact of the outer conductor part of the complementary coaxial connector abuts the collar of the sleeve whereby the first electrical contact between the outer conductor part of the complementary coaxial connector and the collar of the sleeve is made with a contact surface and a contact force applied axially by a closing force of the quick lock, and at least one contact finger is elastically radially deflected, contacting the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector in contact the second electrical contact between the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector and the contact finger of the sleeve with a contact surface and one through the elastic restoring force of the contact finger radially applied contact force is made. On the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector expediently a collar of the sleeve facing stop is formed, wherein between the collar of the sleeve and the stop on the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector, the length compensation element is arranged.

Conveniently, the stop on the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector is annular.

For example, the recess in the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector in the radial direction inwardly to an insulating part of the inner conductor part of the coaxial connector is open, so that the sleeve rests on the insulating part of the inner conductor part of the coaxial connector.

To produce a secure electrical contact between the sleeve and the outer conductor part of the first connector element, the sleeve has at free ends of the contact fingers on radially outward elevations, which strike against an inner surface of the outer conductor part of the coaxial connector electrically contacting and have a height such that the respective contact fingers is elastically deflected radially inward.

For example, the complementary coaxial connector is designed as a coaxial jack or coaxial coupler and the coaxial connector as a coaxial connector.

In the Fig. 1 and 2 illustrated preferred embodiment of a coaxial connector according to the invention comprises a first connector element 10 (coaxial connector) in the form of a coaxial connector and a second connector element 12 (complementary coaxial connector) in the form of a coaxial coupler. The first connector element 10 comprises an outer conductor part 14 forming an outer conductor and an inner conductor part 16 forming an inner conductor. The second connector element 12 comprises an outer conductor part 18 forming an outer conductor and an inner conductor part 20 forming an inner conductor. The inner conductor part 16 of the first connector element 10 is of a first insulating material part 26 surrounded. Between the outer conductor part 18 of the second connector element 12 and the inner conductor part 20 of the second connector element 12, a second Isolierstoffteil 24 is arranged. The two connector elements 10 and 12 are detachably connected to each other with a coupling member 28. The coupling member 28 has in a conventional manner a locking ring 30 which engages in an outer groove 32 of the second connector element 12 and abuts a shoulder 34 of the first connector element 10 and a holder edge 36. To release the lock, a locking sleeve 38 in the direction of arrow 40 and thus in Fig. 1 moved from top to bottom. With a peripheral inner edge of the locking ring 30 is lifted out of the outer groove 32 and thus solved the lock. When mating the two connector elements 10 and 12 of the locking ring 30 automatically engages in the groove 32 a.

In order to compensate for the tolerance of the coupling member 28 and to achieve good RF characteristics, a contact element 44 is provided, which is arranged between the outer conductor part 14 of the first connector element 10 and the outer conductor part 18 of the second connector element 12. How out Fig. 3 can be seen, the contact element 44 is formed as a sleeve having a radially outwardly rising collar 48 at a first end 46 and is axially slotted at a second end 50 opposite the collar 48, so that in the radial direction elastically deflectable contact fingers 52 are formed. At the free ends of the contact fingers 52 are radially upwardly rising elevations 54 are formed.

Die Hülse 44 ist daher in der Ausnehmung 58 unverlierbar montiertThe arrangement of the sleeve 44 in the coaxial connector is from the Fig. 1 and 2 closer. The sleeve 44 engages with its second end 50, ie essentially with the contact fingers 52, in a recess 58 formed on an inner side of the outer conductor part 14 of the first connector element 10. In the region of the recess 58, the elevations 54 of the sleeve 44 strike against the inside of the outer conductor part 14 of the first connector element 10. The inner diameter of the recess 58 is chosen such that it is smaller than the outer diameter of the sleeve 44 in the region of the elevations 54. This has the consequence that when inserted into the recess 58 sleeve 44, the contact fingers 52 are deflected radially inwardly elastic. In this way, results in the area of the system of the elevations 54 in the recess 58, a second electrical contact with a contact surface and a force applied by the elastic restoring force of the elastically radially inwardly deflected contact fingers 52 contact force. The sleeve 44 is displaceable in the axial direction relative to the outer conductor part 14 of the connector element 10. By an edge 66 on the first insulating part 26, the sleeve 44 is held coaxially with the first insulating part 26 and can not fall out in the axial direction. The sleeve 44 is therefore captively mounted in the recess 58

At the first end 46 of the sleeve 44, the collar 48 abuts against an end face 60 of the outer conductor part 18 of the second connector element 12. This end face 60 forms a frontal electrical contact. By the coupling member 28 in the form of a quick locking this end face 60 is pressed axially against the collar 48 of the sleeve 44. In addition, on the outer conductor part 14 of the first connector element 10, a collar 48 of the sleeve 44 facing the shoulder 62 is formed. Between the shoulder 62 and the collar 48 of the sleeve 44, an elastic length compensation element 64 is arranged. This length compensation element 64 is formed for example as an electrically non-conductive O-ring and provides by its arrangement axially between the collar 48 of the sleeve 44 and the shoulder 62 of the outer conductor part 14 of the connecting element 10 in the axial direction a length compensation available by the length compensation element 64 more or less strong in the axial direction squeezed together. By acting in the axial direction closing force of the coupling member 28, the end face 60 of the outer conductor part 18 of the second connector element 12 is pressed in the axial direction against the collar 48 and against the elastic deformability of the length compensation element 64. As a result, a first electrical contact with contact surface and by the closing force of the coupling member 28 in the axial direction applied contact force is produced between the end face 60 and the collar 48.

In the Fig. 3 to 5 illustrated preferred embodiment of the sleeve 44 is formed as a rotating part. Alternatively, however, this sleeve may also be designed as a so-called. Bending stamped part, which may then have a over the entire axial length of the sleeve 44 extending slot.
