The document US-A-5,609,318 describes an example of such a device, wherein the container is simply placed on the support when it wants to hook said container on the edge of a table. On the other hand, in the case where it is desired to place the container on a table, it is separated from its support, which then, in this mode of use, has no further use.

This device has the following drawbacks:
  • the support is relatively bulky, during the use and / or storage of the device,
  • and the medium may be lost by the user, in which case its support is no longer available when said user wishes to hang the device on the edge of a table.

The present invention is intended to overcome these disadvantages.

On the figure 1 there is shown a device 1 comprising a container for bottles, more commonly called "champagne bucket" (this is how the device 1 will be referred to in what follows).

The container 2 has an opening 7, formed by an edge with a circular contour, through which the bottle 3 is introduced, and a bottom 8 against which the bottle 3 then rests.

The support 4 comprises hooking means 9, which is in the example in the form of a groove, to allow the bucket 1 to be suspended from the rim 6 of the table 5, and a base 10 to allow the stable rest of the bucket. 1 on the table 5.

The support 4 is fixed to the container 2 while being movable relative thereto so as to be turned around a Y axis of overturning. In this case, the support 4 is rotatably mounted by relative to the container 2 about the axis Y, between a first position, called hooking, illustrated on the Figures 1 to 3 , 7 and 8 , and a second position, called rest, illustrated on the Figures 9 to 12 , in which the support 4 has undergone a rotation of 180 Ā° with respect to its hooking position, in other words a reversal.

Comme cela est visible sur les figures 2 et 3, le rĆ©cipient 2 se termine, Ć  l'opposĆ© de l'ouverture 7, par un sommet 14.As is visible on the Figures 1 to 3 in particular, the bucket 1 has, in the attachment position, a truncated ovoid overall shape, the container 2 and the support 4 having external lateral walls 11, 12 which extend in the extension of one another so that the bucket 1 has in this configuration an outer surface 13 having a smooth appearance. As is visible on the Figures 2 and 3 , the container 2 ends, opposite the opening 7, by a vertex 14.

In addition, the shape of the bucket 1 is, in the attachment position, symmetrical with respect to a plane containing the Y axis of reversal and passing through the vertex 14. This plane of symmetry is coincident, on the figure 2 , with section plane III-III and, on the figure 3 , with the plane of the leaf. In this case, the bucket 1 has almost an outer shape of revolution around the main axis X contained in the plane of symmetry defined above, which axis intersects the rounded bottom 8 of the container 2 at the top 14.

The base 10 is formed by a flat surface which, in the embodiment illustrated in the figures, and as it appears more particularly on the figure 3 extends in the same plane P1 as the opening 7 of the container.

The container 2 further comprises a planar outer wall 15 which extends in a plane perpendicular to the Y axis of the support 4 overturned and offset with respect to the main axis X, and on which the support 4 is rotatably mounted. around the Y axis of reversal.

As is visible on the figure 6 , the support 4 is in this example in the form of a one-piece shell mounted on the flat outer wall 15 of the container 2 by means of a plate 16 provided with a circular hole 17 which fits on a counter 18 complementary projection projecting on the flat wall 15, clearly visible on the figures 3 , 4 , 8 and 11 , which materializes the Y axis of reversal of the support 4.

It is easy to understand that in hooking position ( figure 3 in particular), the ovoid shape of the bucket 1 makes it impossible to hold it stably on a table 5 by placing it on its top 14. In this position, the bucket 1 is indeed intended to be suspended from the rim 6 of Table 5, as shown on the Figures 7 and 8 .

The attachment means 9 allow this suspension to be carried out in a simple and reliable manner.

The attachment means 9 are in fact in the form of a groove formed in recess in the support 4 in the vicinity of the base 10, and comprising an upper face 19 which, when the support 4 is in the hooking position is turned towards the bottom 8 in order to be applied against an upper surface 20 of a table 5 ( figure 8 ), and a lower face 21 which, when the support 4 is in the hooking position, is turned towards the base 10 to be able to be applied against a lower surface 22 of the table 5, opposite the upper surface 20 ( figure 8 ).

The groove 9 ends, on the side of the container 2, by a bottom 23 which, connecting the faces 19 and 21, is in the form of a substantially toric surface whose concavity is turned away from the X axis of symmetry of the bucket ( figure 4 ).

As is visible on the figure 3 , the groove 9 is obliquely excavated in the support 4 in the direction of the geometric center of the bucket 1, that is to say that the faces 19 and 21, substantially parallel, are inclined relative to a plane P2 perpendicular to the axis X symmetry of the bucket, for example at an angle B, indicated on the figure 5 , between 20 Ā° and 40 Ā° (approximately 25 Ā° in the example shown), the groove 9 being located above the center of gravity of the bucket 1 when it is considered in its hooking position ( figure 3 ).

The upper face 19 is curved in the direction of the lower face 21 to form, in the vicinity of the bottom 23, an upper lip 24 which, intended to form the contact zone of the upper face 21 with the upper surface 20 of the table 5 ( figure 8 ), extends along an arc concentric to the arc formed by the groove bottom 23, and preferably substantially parallel to the plane P2 ( figures 4 and 8 ).

As for the lower face 21, it has, at the edge of the groove 9, a lower lip 25 offset towards the outside of the bucket 1 with respect to the upper lip 24, and which, extending parallel to the plane P2, is intended forming the contact zone of the lower face 21 with the lower surface 22 of the table 5 in the hooking position ( figure 8 ).

Thus, to suspend the bucket 1 at the edge 6 of a table 5, the procedure is as follows.

By slightly inclining the bucket 1, the groove 9 is engaged on the flange 6 of the table 5, substantially parallel to the faces 19, 21, until the flange 6 abuts against the bottom of the groove 23.

GrĆ¢ce Ć  son positionnement en porte-Ć -faux, le seau tient de lui-mĆŖme au rebord 6 de la table 5.The bucket 1 is then allowed to rock under its own weight, the rim 6 of the table 5 being then pinched by a lever effect between the upper lip 24 and the lower lip 25. Due to its cantilevered position, the bucket holds itself at the edge 6 of the table 5.

The shape of the groove 9, in particular the arcuate shape and the length of the upper lip 24 guarantees the stability of this attachment.

Des lĆ©gĆØres variations angulaires sont bien entendu permises, tout dĆ©pendant de l'Ć©paisseur de la table par rapport Ć  la largeur de la gorge 9.In this position, the axis of the bucket is substantially perpendicular to the plane of the table, the opening 7 being oriented upwards. Slight angular variations are of course allowed, depending on the thickness of the table relative to the width of the groove 9.

To put the support 4 in the rest position, it is sufficient to return it by printing a rotation of 180 Ā° about the Y axis of its overturning, the base 10 being placed on the side of the bottom 8 of the container 2. In other words, the container 2 and the support 4 are oriented head-to-tail with respect to each other.

As is visible on the figure 11 , the top 14 of the container 2 is in the plane P1 of the base 10, so that the bucket 1 placed on a table 5 rests jointly by the base 10 and the top 14.

Avantageusement, l'angle A sera choisi de telle sorte que ladite projection se situe sur la zone constituĆ©e du socle 10 et de l'espace compris entre ledit socle et le sommet 14 du rĆ©cipient 2.Moreover, as is visible on the figure 11 , the Y axis of the support 4 overturns towards the plane P1 of the base 10, opposite the container 2, forming with said plane P1 an angle of between 3 Ā° and 10 Ā° (about 4 Ā° in the illustrated example). Given this inclination, the flat outer wall 15 of the container 2, perpendicular to the axis Y, is, when the bucket 1 rests on the table 5, inclined relative to the upper surface 20 of the table 5 (the opening 7 being, anyway, always facing up). This results in a shift towards the base 10 of the projection of the center of gravity of the bucket 1 on the plane P1, coinciding with the upper surface 20 of the table, in favor of the stability of the latter. Advantageously, the angle A will be chosen so that said projection is located on the area consisting of the base 10 and the space between said base and the top 14 of the container 2.

Regarding the choice of materials, it depends on the context to which bucket 1 is intended. This bucket can be made entirely of plastic, for the sake of its weight and its manufacturing convenience.

It is also possible to make the container 2 and the support 4 in different materials.

Thus, according to one embodiment, the container is made of a plastic material, such as PVC (which may be transparent or translucent) or polycarbonate, while the support 2 is made of a metallic material, such as a aluminum. The result is, on the one hand, a valuable aesthetic and, on the other hand, in the rest position, an increased stability of the bucket 1 whose center of gravity is effectively offset towards the support 4.

It should be noted that the presence of the groove 9 allows the gripping of the bucket 1 with one hand, which facilitates its handling.

Moreover, in order to improve the resistance of the bucket 1 in the hooking position, it is conceivable to provide the groove 9 with a non-slip surface 28.

Cette surface antidĆ©rapante 28 recouvre par exemple au moins partiellement les faces supĆ©rieure 19 et infĆ©rieure 21 de la gorge 9, de prĆ©fĆ©rence au niveau des lĆØvres supĆ©rieure 24 et infĆ©rieure 25.This non-slip surface 28 covers for example at least partially the upper 19 and lower 21 faces of the groove 9, preferably at the upper lips 24 and lower 25.

ConcrĆØtement, il est possible de former une telle surface antidĆ©rapante au moyen d'un sablage des faces supĆ©rieure 19 et infĆ©rieure 21, afin d'augmenter leur rugositĆ© et par consĆ©quent leur coefficient de frottement contre les surfaces supĆ©rieure 20 et infĆ©rieure 22 de la table 5.Concretely, it is possible to form such a non-slip surface by means of sandblasting the upper 19 and lower 21 surfaces, in order to increase their roughness and therefore their coefficient of friction against the upper and lower surfaces 22 of the table 5 .

In a variant, it is conceivable to provide the groove 9, at the level of the zones intended to come against the table 5, pads reported, made of a high friction material such as a rubber. These buffers are for example fixed by gluing, or by overmolding.

An alternative embodiment of the bucket 1, illustrated on the Figures 13 to 19 , will be described now. This variant has a large number of points in common with the embodiment just described. Also, only the differences will be addressed. Common elements retain the references previously used.

As is visible on the figure 14 , the upper lip 24 is here formed by an insert 29 attached, fixed to the support 4 on the side of the upper face 19 of the groove 9 by interlocking in a complementary housing 30 dug in the mass of the support 4.

This insert 29 is preferably made of an elastic material having a high coefficient of friction compared to the materials in which the table surfaces (wood, glass, metal but also fabric) are conventionally made. In this case, the material chosen is an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), the support 4 being itself made of aluminum. The insert 29, thanks to its elastic material with a high coefficient of friction, prevents slipping of the bucket 1 with respect to the table to which it is hooked, whereas the support, because of its metallic material, gives the bucket 1 a reasonable weight that increases its stability, both when hung on a table and placed on it.

Furthermore, the bucket 1 comprises a fastening system 31 of the container 2 to the support 4, which system, jointly, allows the rotation of the support 4 relative to the container 2 about the Y axis of overturning.

As is visible on the figure 15 , the hooks 32 are, in the example shown, the number of three and are distributed at 120 Ā° around the geometric axis Y of rotation.

This primary rib 34 is provided with tabs 35 which project radially on a free edge 36 of the primary rib 34.

As for the ring gear 33, it is intended to fit into a complementary housing 37 formed in the support 4 facing the plane wall 15, and has an outer portion 38 pierced with holes 39 in which positioning pins are engaged. 40 when projected on the support 4 in the bottom of the housing 37. When the ring 33 is thus nested in its housing 37, its axis of revolution coincides with the axis Y of the support 4 overturning relative to the container 2.

The ring 33 also has an internal portion 41 which radially extends the outer portion 38 towards the axis of revolution of the ring 33. The inner portion 41 has a reduced thickness relative to the outer portion 38, so as to spare, on the other hand, two countersinks 42, 43, respectively called internal counterbore 42 and external counterbore 43, and whose utility will appear in what follows.

The inner portion 41 is pierced, on its circumference, with a series of holes 44; it has an inner circular edge 45 provided on its periphery with a chamfer 46, notches 47 being formed radially in the edge 45. As can be seen in FIG. figure 16 , the notches 47 are three in number and are distributed at 120 Ā° around the axis of revolution of the ring 33.

The ring 33 is here made of a metallic material, preferably aluminum.

Par ailleurs, comme cela est reprĆ©sentĆ© sur la figure 14, le systĆØme de fixation 31 comprend une rondelle interne 48, destinĆ©e Ć  ĆŖtre interposĆ©e entre la couronne 33 et le support 4, ainsi qu'une rondelle externe 49 destinĆ©e Ć  ĆŖtre interposĆ©e entre la couronne 33 et la paroi extĆ©rieure plane 15 du rĆ©cipient 2.Moreover, as shown on the figure 14 , the fastening system 31 comprises an inner washer 48, intended to be interposed between the ring 33 and the support 4, and an outer washer 49 intended to be interposed between the ring 33 and the flat outer wall 15 of the container 2.

The internal washer 48 has a radial portion 50 nested on the inner portion 41 of the ring 33 on the side of the internal counterbore 42, extended by an axial portion 51 which engages the inner edge 45 of the ring 33.

The outer washer 49 has, like the inner washer 48, a radial portion 52 nested on the inner portion 41 of the ring 33 on the side of the outer counterbore 43, extended by an axial portion 53 which fits on the inner edge 45 of the ring 33 in the extension of the axial portion 51 of the inner washer 48.

The outer washer 49 comprises, on its circumference, a series of bushings 54 projecting on its radial portion 52, which fit into the holes 44, while the inner washer 48 comprises, on its circumference, a series of pins 55 which, introduced into the holes 44, snap into the bushings 54, so that the washers 48, 49 jointly sandwich the inner portion 41 of the ring 33.

As is visible on the Figures 17 and 18 the washers 48, 49 are provided with notches 56, 57 arranged radially in their respective radial portions 50, 52.

The indentations 56, 57, which are, for each washer 48, 49, three in number, distributed at 120 Ā°, are positioned on either side and to the right of notches 47 formed in the ring 33.

Thus, the attachment of the container 2 to the support 4 is performed as follows.

We first assemble the washers 48, 49 on the ring 33 by fitting them on either side of the latter, the pins 55 snap into the bushings 54 through the holes 39.

Then the ring 33 is fitted into its housing 37, fixing the ring 33 to the support being for example provided by screwing.

The receptacle 2 is then fitted onto the support 4, placing the tabs 35 at the notches 47, 56, 57 and then pressing the receptacle 2 against the crown 33. The tabs 35 are then introduced into the notches 47, 56, 57 while the hooks 32 slide, by bending, against the axial portion 53 of the outer washer 49, before snapping onto the axial portion 51 of the inner washer 48.

The container 2 is thus fixed permanently to the support 4, the hooks 32 and the tabs 35 being in engagement with the axial portion 51 of the inner washer 48 while the primary rib 34 slides against the axial portions 51, 53 of the washers. 48, 49, the radial portion 52 of the outer washer 49 coming to slide against the flat outer wall 15 of the container 2.

The material of the washers 48, 49 is chosen so as to minimize friction with the planar outer wall 15 of the container 2 and with the primary rib 34. It is preferably polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE, also known under the trade name TEFLONĀ®). , whose antiadhesive properties are well known.

Moreover, as shown on the figure 14 , the bucket 1 comprises a locking mechanism 58, intended to maintain the orientation of the support 4, relative to the container 2, in one or the other positions of attachment or rest.

This locking mechanism 58 comprises a movable latch 59 slidably mounted relative to the support 4 between a locking position ( figure 14 ) in which the latch 59 is engaged in a housing 60, 61 which is provided with the container 2, and a release position in which the latch 59 is released from this housing 60, 61. A return spring 62, bearing against the support 4, biases the latch 59 towards its locking position.

This secondary rib 63 comprises two semicircular portions 64, 65 connected by two recesses, namely an upper recess 66 and a lower recess 67 diametrically opposite and forming respectively an upper housing 60 and a lower housing 61 as mentioned above , adapted to receive the latch 59 according to the position of the support 4 relative to the container 2.

More specifically, the latch 59 comprises a body 68 having a bearing surface 69 which, as is visible on the figure 14 , part of the lower face 21 and the groove bottom 23. The body 68 is provided on the side of the container 2, a head 70 which is the part of the latch 59 intended to cooperate with the housing 60, 61.

Le verrou 59 forme un poussoir propre Ć  ĆŖtre actionnĆ© manuellement depuis l'extĆ©rieur du support 4 : en effet, sa surface d'appui 69 est accessible aux mains d'un utilisateur dĆ©sirant changer l'orientation du support 4 par rapport au rĆ©cipient 2.The latch 59 forms a pusher clean to be actuated manually from outside the support 4: indeed, its bearing surface 69 is accessible to the hands of a user wishing to change the orientation of the support 4 relative to the container 2.

Thus, starting from the rest position of the support 4 (in which the head 70 of the latch 59 is engaged with the upper housing 60), it suffices for the user to insert his hand in the groove 9 and then pressing on the bearing surface 69 to move the latch 59 towards its release position until the head 70 is disengaged from the upper housing 60. The user then rotates the support 4 relative to the container 2. When rotation, it is not necessary for the user to continue to press the latch 59, the latch 59 being held in its release position by one or other of the semicircular portions 64, 65 ( following the direction of rotation) against which is applied and slides the head 70.

When the support 4 has rotated 180 Ā°, the head 70 reaches the right of the lower housing 61 where it snaps under the action of the return spring 62.

The latch 59 exerting a friction against the plane wall 15 (in particular the head 70 against the secondary rib 63), it will be preferable for its manufacture to manufacture a material having a low coefficient of friction with respect to plastics (we have as the container is made of PVC or polycarbonate). Thus, the latch 59 is here made of polyamide.

The embodiment variant which has just been described has the same advantages as the embodiment described above. In addition, however, this variant makes it possible to maintain fixed the relative position of the container 2 and the support 4 when it occupies one of its hanging or rest positions, as long as no action is taken by the user to edit this position. This avoids the risk of inadvertent tilting of the container 2 relative to the support 4, especially under the weight of a bottle.
