Die Nahtlinie 10 liegt im Bereich der aneinanderstoßenden Dichtlippen 5, 6 bzw. an der Basis der v-förmigen Anordnung. Der Belag 9 kann jedoch auch durch andere geeignete Befestigungsarten (z. B. Kleben) auf dem Dichtprofil fixiert werden. In Einbaulage im Spalt zwischen Trommel 1 und Bauteil 2 werden die Dichtlippen 5, 6 leicht zusammen gedrückt, so dass der textile Belag 9 unter Vorspannung an der Trommel 1 zur Anlage kommt.
