Definitions
- the invention relates to a stacked plate heat exchanger, in particular an oil cooler for motor vehicles according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the stacked plate heat exchanger which is often used as an oil / coolant radiator in motor vehicles, consists of a plurality of identically formed stacking disks, ie plates with a circumferential, raised edge and cup-shaped characteristics.
- the stacking disks are stacked into a block or stack and soldered in the area of the peripheral edges.
- the stacking disks are soldered together in the area of the cup-shaped characteristics. This creates flow channels for two media, such as oil and a liquid coolant.
- turbulence plates can be inserted to increase the heat transfer, in particular on the oil side, wherein the turbulence sheets are also soldered to the stacking disks and thus develop a tie rod effect.
- the internal pressure resistance of the heat exchanger is increased.
- the assembly of the formed as equal parts Plates are made in such a way that when stacking each of the following plate is rotated 180 degrees about its vertical axis.
- the stack of the heat exchanger is closed at the top usually by a cover, which has a greater wall thickness than the stacking disks. While the stack disks arranged within the stack are largely pressure-balanced, this is not the case for the cover disk, which is why it is reinforced in order to withstand the increased pressure load. This reinforcement also applies to the bottom or base plate of the stack, as from the DE 197 11 258 A1 the applicant is known.
- the upper cover plate has stiffening also dome-shaped indentations, which protrude into the collecting channels and complete this.
- the stepped embossing in the cover plate is designed such that it rests with an annular surface on the outermost stacking disk in the region of a passage opening, wherein the outermost stacking disk rests on a cup-shaped recess of the adjacent stacking disk.
- the step-shaped indentation on a further expression preferably dome-shaped or frustoconical, which projects into the collecting channel.
- the stepped embossing according to the invention and the dome-shaped expression can preferably be circular or oval.
- the invention is based on stacked plate heat exchangers of the type mentioned, d. H. with smooth and with profiled stacking discs applicable.
- FIG. 1 a shows an isometric view of a stack 1 of nested stacking disks 2 with an upper cover disk 3.
- FIG. 1 b shows an isometric view of the stack 1, but with the cover disk 3 lifted off and with a turbulence insert 4 which is located between the uppermost disk 3 Stacking disk 2 and the cover 3 is inserted.
- the stacking disks 2 are circular openings 5 and cup-like forms 6, also provided with circular openings.
- FIG. 1c shows the cover 3 in a plan view with four arranged in the corner areas dome-shaped features, which protrude into the underlying collection and distribution channels.
- Fig. 1d shows a section through the stack 1 with cover 3, which is on the one hand peripherally soldered over its upright edge with the adjacent stacking disk 2 and rests with its flat surface on the cup-shaped expression 6.
- the illustrated embodiment of the stacking disks 2 alternately flow channels for a fluid 1 and a fluid 2, so for example engine oil and coolant, with a collecting channel 8 for the fluid 1 and a collecting channel 9 for the fluid 2 are created. Both channels 8, 9 and the other two not visible in this section collection channels are closed by the cover 3 with the cap 7 upwards.
- connection to the two fluid circuits is carried out from below by a base plate 10 and attached thereto, not shown connections.
- a disadvantage of the known construction, in particular the training and arrangement of the cover 3 is that this rests only in the region of the (left) collecting channel 9 on the upper (last) stacking disc 2 - not in the region of (right) collecting channel 8. This can be at a corresponding internal pressure increased stress on the cover 3, which can lead to deformations of the cover and the stacking disks and thus also to a leakage of the heat exchanger to the outside and / or inwards (between the individual flow channels).
- Fig. 2 shows a heat exchanger 11 according to the invention, which is designed as a stacked plate heat exchanger, in particular as an oil / coolant radiator for a motor vehicle.
- Identical reference numbers are used for the same (known) parts as in FIGS. 1 a to 1d. Insofar, a renewed description of the known parts of the heat exchanger 11 can be omitted here.
- Deviating from the prior art is essentially the formation of a cover 12, which has a step-shaped indentation 13 in the region of the collecting channel 8, which closed (in the drawing) up through the cover 12 fluid-tight and (in the drawing) below a Base plate 14 is connected to a fluid connection, not shown.
- the collecting channel 9 arranged in parallel is closed downwards by the base plate 14 and is connected upwardly via a bore 15 in the cover plate 12 to a fluid connection (not shown).
- the cover plate 12 rests on the uppermost stacking disc 2 ', which has cup-shaped characteristics 6 in the region of the collecting channel 9.
- the cover 12 is soldered to the cup-shaped expression 6 via a first annular surface 16 and thus connected to the strength of the stack 1.
- the step-shaped expression 13 of the cover 12 corresponds in depth t about the height h of the cup-shaped expression 6 of the stacking disk 2 '.
- the stepped shape 13 is located on a second annular surface 17 on the topmost stacking disk 2 'and can be soldered to it.
- the cover is thus on the one hand outside the edges and on the other hand inside over the two annular surfaces 16, 17 with the top stacking disc 2 'and thus materially connected to the composite of the stack. This gives a relatively stiff bond between cover 12 and stack 1.
- FIG. 3 shows an enlarged detail of the stepped embossment 13 of the cover disk 12.
- the cover 12 and the step-shaped indentation 13 has a further in the collecting channel 8 inferior expression 19, which is formed dome-shaped in the embodiment, but also other the Form stiffness of the cover 12 increasing forms, z. B. may have a truncated cone.
- Fig. 4 shows a modified form of a cover 20 in a plan view.
- ie two-stage indentations 21 are arranged, which correspond to the indentations 13/19 in Fig. 3 with the difference that the indentations 21 in Fig. 4 have an oval outline, while the floor plan of the indentation 13/19 circular is trained.
- simple impressions 22 are provided in the further corner regions.
- Fig. 5 shows a section along the line VV in Fig. 4: it is the two-stage profile of the indentation 21 can be seen, which rests with the first stage 21 a on the topmost stack disk not shown here, indirectly with this directly and with the adjacent stacking disk soldered.
- the second Stage 21b of the expression 21 brings the required dimensional stability against bulging.
- the stacked plate heat exchanger is preferably made of aluminum or aluminum alloys and is therefore hard solderable.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a stacked plate heat exchanger, in particular an oil cooler for motor vehicles according to the preamble of
It is an object of the present invention, the strength of a Stapelscheibenwärmeübertragers of the aforementioned type, in particular in the area of the cover to increase, if possible without weight gain.
This object is solved by the features of
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the stepped embossing in the cover plate is designed such that it rests with an annular surface on the outermost stacking disk in the region of a passage opening, wherein the outermost stacking disk rests on a cup-shaped recess of the adjacent stacking disk. Thus, the cover plate - indirectly - soldered to the penultimate stacking disk, so that the internal pressure forces can be deposited on the stack.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the step-shaped indentation on a further expression, preferably dome-shaped or frustoconical, which projects into the collecting channel. As a result, a further reinforcement of the cover (form stiffness) is achieved. In measurements, a 50% reduction in the maximum stress and a reduction in the maximum deformation of the cover disc by 15% could be demonstrated.
The stepped embossing according to the invention and the dome-shaped expression can preferably be circular or oval. The invention is based on stacked plate heat exchangers of the type mentioned, d. H. with smooth and with profiled stacking discs applicable.

Figures 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d show, in various views and sections, a prior art stacked disk heat exchanger. 1 a shows an isometric view of a
Fig. 2 shows a
FIG. 3 shows an enlarged detail of the stepped
Fig. 4 shows a modified form of a
Fig. 5 shows a section along the line VV in Fig. 4: it is the two-stage profile of the
Der Stapelscheibenwärmeübertrager wird vorzugsweise aus Aluminium bzw. Aluminiumlegierungen hergestellt und ist daher hart lötbar. The stacked plate heat exchanger is preferably made of aluminum or aluminum alloys and is therefore hard solderable.
Notwithstanding the illustrated embodiment, instead of the smooth stacking disks with turbulence inserts also profiled stacking disks, in particular with corrugated profiles can be used in the invention.
