Abstract
Ein Energieabsorptionsbauteil für ein Fahrzeug zum Absorbieren kinetischer Energie durch Verformung unter Ausbildung einer zumindest abschnittsweise faltenbalgähnlichen Struktur, hergestellt aus einer Aluminiumlegierung des Typs Al-Mg-Si, ist dadurch bestimmt, dass die sich rechtwinklig zur Oberfläche des Bauteils erstreckende effektive Korngröße (gemessen in ST-Richtung) der Körner kleiner als 100 µm ist und dass das Gefüge des Bauteils zumindest weitestgehend nicht rekristallisiert ist und die Körner in den L-ST-Richtungen ein Streckungsverhältnis (L:ST) von mehr als 4:1 aufweisen.
