Description

The present invention relates to a signaling device with a signal plate for the attachment of incandescent lamp modules, wherein the signal plate has openings as well as fastening and / or positioning elements for the arrangement of the incandescent lamp modules.

As before, light signals for the control of traffic flows, in particular for the control of rail-bound traffic, are of paramount importance, even if, for example, standards now exist in railway engineering which transmit a train control exclusively by radio transmission into the cab of a locomotive or a control car Provide information (ETCS Level 2 and above). Such light signals are currently still equipped to a large extent with conventional light bulbs. However, the limited life of such bulbs represents a very high risk to the safety of traffic, because non-luminous signal points can distort the actually signal to be displayed dangerous. For this reason, stand for the control of the function of the incandescent bulbs above all things such measures that can close from the usually recorded by a light bulb lamp current to the proper function of the same. By nature, however, there is a considerable potential for failure in this type of monitoring because, for example due to parasitic leakage currents due to the sometimes very long cable routes to current flows that have nothing to do with the illumination of the actual signal lamp. Similarly, a significant (personal) risk typically also result from the process of lamp replacement, because here often in the dark, poor weather conditions and sometimes under considerable time pressure must be worked.

Due to the significantly longer life of LED bulbs is therefore increasingly gone in equipment / retrofit of new or existing signal systems to use LED bulbs. These LED bulbs have a greater number of individual LEDs arranged in an array, which are collectively lit to indicate a signal concept. The failure of a single LED or a small number of individual LEDs can hardly fall due to the large number of points of light weight, which is why in addition to the incandescent lamps increased life of the LED and the system error rate is significantly lower.

However, the problem with retrofitting existing signals is that the new LED bulbs are not compatible with the incandescent bulbs and therefore usually incur high costs for the creation of new signals and at least partially scrap the existing signal structure.

The present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a signaling device with which the replacement of incandescent lamps by LED bulbs can be done in a simple and cost-saving manner.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a signaling device of the type mentioned, in which a to the openings and the fastening and / or positioning elements adapted support member is provided, on which an LED light source is arranged.

In this way, the support element, which may be configured, for example, as a support plate or as a carrier housing, so to speak serve as an adapter for the installation of the LED bulbs, which can be used in the originally provided for mounting and mounting of incandescent modules elements. This only has to be done during the replacement process the incandescent module can be removed as such, and the carrier element equipped with the LED illuminant can be used.

In order to be able to generate a radiation characteristic comparable to the incandescent lamp module with the LED illuminant, in an advantageous development of the invention, the carrier element can comprise a glass and / or plastic body adapted to the LED illuminant, which is arranged in the light path. This glass and / or plastic body can according to the requirements have the appropriate properties, so for example serve as a scattering or converging lens.

So that the control unit side and / or line-side control and power supply of the LED light source can be done in the usual manner for the incandescent lamp module, an electrical terminal group of the LED light source can be made compatible with a terminal group of a light bulb module. In this case, this electrical connection group may be equipped with corresponding electrical components in order to simulate the electrical properties of the incandescent lamp module. For example, means may be provided which adjust the power consumption in the LED lighting circuit to the power consumption of a light bulb module.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, for example. Showing:
FIG. 1
a rear perspective view of a equipped with an LED illuminant signal plate; and
FIG. 2
a perspective front view of the equipped with the LED illuminant signal plate according to Figure 1.

Dank der an die Durchbrüche 8, 8a sowie die Befestigungselemente 10 und Positionierelemente 12 angepassten Trägerplatte 14 kann das LED-Leuchtmittel 16 in das Signal 2 integriert werden, ohne dass an dem Signal 2 weitere Umbauten vorgenommen werden müssen.FIG. 1 shows a perspective rear view of a signal 2 which has a signal panel 4 facing a viewer, not shown here, and a rear signal panel 6. The signal 2 was originally equipped with incandescent lamp modules not shown here. For arranging and mounting these incandescent modules, the signal plate 6 has a plurality of openings 8, 8a and fastening elements 10 and positioning elements 12. In the upper opening 8a a support plate 14 is used in the present embodiment, on which an LED lighting means 16 is arranged. In the illustration shown, a luminaire housing 18, a rearward heat sink 20 and an encapsulated electrical connection group 22 can be recognized by the LED illuminant 16. Thanks to the carrier plate 14 adapted to the apertures 8, 8a and the fastening elements 10 and positioning elements 12, the LED illuminant 16 can be integrated into the signal 2, without having to make any further modifications to the signal 2.

Also with regard to the control unit and / or line-side control and / or monitoring, it is possible with a correspondingly adapted electrical connection group 22 to maintain exactly the control and / or monitoring regime previously used for the incandescent lamp module. Thus, for example, an increased power consumption of the LED lighting means 16 is artificially caused by a parallel connection of an electrical resistance in the electrical connection group 22, which largely corresponds to the power consumption of a conventional incandescent lamp module when the LED illuminant.

Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the front of the signal 2 with its signal panel 4. In the upper opening 8a, the LED bulb 16 is inserted, of which in this illustration, only a protective glass plate the LEDs 24 can be seen. An enveloping body 26 narrowing the lateral emission of the signal light has already been part of the signal 2 when it was still equipped with incandescent lamp modules. Of course, the glass plate 24 can be adapted to the desired radiation characteristic of the signal point, for example in the form of a scattering or condenser lens.
