Die Kammerwände bilden den Aussenleiter einer λ/4-Kurzschlussleitung, deren Innenleiter 30 an seinem Anfang um 90° abgewinkelt, isoliert durch die Aussenleiterwand 26.2 hindurchgeführt und mit dem Innenleiter 21 des Koaxialleitungsabschnitts galvanisch verbunden ist. Das Ende des Innenleiters 30 der λ/4-Kurzschlussleitung ist galvanisch mit einem metallischen Ring 32 verbunden, der einen Abschnitt 26.3 des Aussenleiters 26 des Koaxialleitungsabschnittes koaxial umgibt, von diesem jedoch durch eine dazwischen angeordnete, dielektrische Ringhülse 22 getrennt ist. Der Aussenleiterabschnitt 26.3, die dielektrische Ringhülse 22 und der Ring 32 bilden zusammen eine Bandleitung, die im Nutzfrequenzbereich wie ein Rohrkondensator wirkt.
