Claims (10)

1. A piece of furniture, in particular a work desk (1), having a desk top (3), wherein a flap member (4) with a pivot shaped-part (5) is associated with the desk top (3), characterised in that the flap member (4) can be pivoted upwards and is securable in the closed position and the open position, for which purpose the pivot shaped-part (5) has at least two cut-outs (15, 16) into which a cross member (20) engages as desired in the closed position and the open position respectively.
