Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'améliorer les propriétés d'isolation contre le feu, notamment dans une fenêtre comprenant une structure en feuille (1), telle qu'un panneau de verre (2), un panneau thermique (3) ou analogue. La structure en feuille (1) est fixée dans une rainure (4) possédant un fond de rainure (5) sur lequel on applique un matériau (8) gonflant sous l'action du feu. Un élément d'écartement (9) recouvrant entièrement ou partiellement ledit matériau (8) est disposé entre le bord (6) de la structure en feuille (1) et le matériau (8). Sous l'action du feu, le volume dudit matériau augmente, ce qui pousse l'élément d'écartement (9) contre le bord (6) de la structure en feuille (1), laquelle est alors fixée plus fermement dans la rainure (4).
