Abstract

A selective waste container (1) which is made up of a truncoconal unit with a hinged door (2), within which there are three swivel-mounted attachment rings (10), each hinged, upon which rubbish recipients (11) for the collection of different kinds of waste are situated. The sides of the unit contain different attachments (13) to house various cleaning utensils (14,15).

Description

    PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention refers to a selective waste container, which makes up a kind of unit within which a plurality of small waste containers are housed, perfectly coordinated, with the unit including a cover in such a manner as to give access to the interior and hence to the containers, thus allowing the extraction of the same.
  • The purpose of the invention is to provide a selective waste container which not only allows the user to separate different kinds of domestic waste, but also, given that the internal elements which support the waste recipients can be removed to allow stacking in the containers, reduce the volume of storage at the facilities and make transportation of the same easier.
  • BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION
  • Numerous systems are available for the selection of domestic waste, in addition to others which are used at restaurants, etc. In these, the structure of the container is based on a series of separate compartments or hooks for bags, making the same cumbersome, impractical and difficult to use. Moreover, all the containers produced so far for the selection of waste are objects or bodies which cannot be stacked, meaning that storage takes up a large area, forcing the manufacturer to dedicate large sections of his facilities to storage and having to deal with transportation difficulties to the point of sale.
  • On the other hand, the containers for the selection of waste are generally designed and produced for the function of containing recipients or bags of different kinds of waste, but they do not offer additional functions such as the use of the same as a unit for storing cleaning utilities such as brooms, detergents, bleach or similar.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The container we propose has been designed as a solution to the aforementioned problems, based on a simple yet highly efficient solution. Firstly, the container has a truncoconal configuration, open at the lower base, which allows stacking when empty, thus facilitating storage at factory facilities, sales points, during transportation, etc, and always occupying the same minimum volume. Moreover, it presents the particularity that this truncoconal body contains a hinged side door for opening, allowing access to the interior, where we will find fittings to attach, in a swivel-mounted and extractable manner, a series of rings to support the different recipients to contain the various kinds of waste. These rings can be circular to contain, for example, buckets, or of any other configuration for compatibility between the ring and the recipient, and are positioned at different heights, in such a way as the recipient does not interfere with the one immediately below.
  • The interior is completely hidden away when the container door is closed, and there is an upper tray with a cover and an orifice for the introduction of batteries. Meanwhile, the ring attachments are small in size and hinged to allow the stacking of one container on top of another.
  • The exterior, opposite, logically, the door area, also contains a series of attachments for, for example, a broom, a bottle of bleach or a packet of detergent, etc.
  • We have also envisaged an external attachment or receptacle for paper and cardboard which, as with the other interior and exterior attachments, can be removed to prevent problems when stacking. This paper or cardboard attachment or receptacle can be disposed of, and is of such a size as to allow the introduction of the same through the orifice of public collection containers.
  • The container is thus easy-to-use, multifunctional and with a minimum volume for the functions it offers. Similarly it offers reduced volume with regards to empty storage or stacking, by introducing containers within each other, once, logically, all the complementary accessories have been removed.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS.
  • In order to complete the description, and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, along with a preferential example of the practical carrying out of the same, the said description is accompanied by a set of drawings showing, in an illustrational and unlimited manner, the following:
    • Figure 1.- This shows a representation in accordance with the general perspective of the container invention. Here it is open, showing the different attachments included.
    • Figure 2.- This shows a general perspective view of the same container represented in the previous figure. Here it is closed, showing the attachments for the cleaning utensils and the paper, with representation of the said cleaning utensils and cardboard or paper block on the dotted line.
    • Figure 3.- This shows, finally, a general perspective of the container. Here it is open with the recipients correctly located within, at different heights in order to prevent intersection between the same.
    PREFERENTIAL USE OF THE INVENTION
  • Having seen the above figures, it can be observed how container (1) of the invention, destined to make up a means of waste selection, comprises a truncoconal body (1), part of the side surface of which contains a door (2) mounted on hinges (3), with the said door (2) presenting a grasp (4) in such a manner that it does not stand out internally or externally, although, logically, the hinges (3) do need to overhang a little.
  • The body (1) of the container is open in the lower section (5), whilst the upper section contains a tray (6) with an upper cover (7) and an orifice (8) for the introduction of batteries which will, logically, go in the tray (6).
  • With regards to the body (1) of the container, we have included a series of attachment elements or hinges (9) for support elements (10) in the form of rings, destined to support, in a suspended manner, the recipients (11) to contain the various types of waste, for example metal and plastic, organic waste and glass. Here we have indicated three recipients, but there could be more for further selection of products or waste.
  • The support rings (10) can tilt with regards to their corresponding hinge (9) hence allowing, once the door (2) is open, the extraction of the respective recipient (11) and the correct positioning of the same vertically when in idle position and with the door (2) closed.
  • The external side section of the container includes a receptacle (12) to store cardboard and paper. This receptacle can be dismounted and, preferably, disposed of, when full, through the orifices of public collection containers. Meanwhile, the section opposite this receptacle (12) includes attachments (13), situated at different heights and with appropriate configurations to correctly house, for example, brooms (14), detergent drum (15), etc, with these components being represented on the dotted line in figure 2.
  • The container thus formed can include lower wheels for easy movement, or, similarly, it can remain stable in a specific position on the floor, in which case the movement of the same will be by dragging or by lifting.

Claims (4)

  1. Selective waste container, allowing for the selection of different kinds of waste, both in residential and commercial premises and other places, characterised by a truncoconal body in the lower section which is open to allow the stacking of the containers in the interior of others. The side surface area is occupied by a hinged door, whilst the interior includes small hinges for the swivel-mounted and removable support attachments, with suspended rings for recipients, destined to receive different types of waste. Meanwhile, the exterior includes a removable and disposable receptacle for paper and cardboard, whilst the opposite and external sections have attachments for cleaning utensils, such as brooms, detergent packages, bleach bottles and similar.
  2. Selective waste container, with the claims indicated above, characterised by the inclusion of an upper tray for the introduction of batteries.
  3. Selective waste container, with the claims indicated above, characterised by the hinged doors, handle and attachment hinges for the swivel-mounted recipient attachments being of reduced size, allowing for the stacking of the containers within others.
  4. Selective waste container, with the claims indicated above, characterised by the cleaning utensil attachments and the paper and cardboard receptacle being disposable, as is the case for the selective waste recipient attachments, thus facilitating the stacking of the containers.
