  • the engagement seat 103 engages detachably with a snap action the engagement head 16, converting the fulcrum member 11 and the elongated component 100 into a single body, while the presence of the locking means, which allows to lock detachably the sliding of the elongated component 100 and accordingly of the fulcrum member 11, fixes indirectly and detachably the pivoting point of the first linkage 10 with respect to the fixed profiled member 2, as mentioned earlier.
  • the locking means comprises a recess 104, which is formed longitudinally on the face of the elongated component 100 which is adjacent to the upper face 6 of the fixed profiled member 2, and by a locking component, which can be inserted detachably in the gap that forms between the upper face 6 and the recess 104 when the elongated member 100 is inserted in the guide 5.
  • the locking component can be constituted by a simple grub screw 105, which is screwed so as to retract into the mentioned gap, so as to apply force simultaneously to the fixed profiled member 2 and to the elongated component 100, preventing their mutual sliding, or by a screw 106, which is optionally provided with a contoured washer 107, which once again applies force simultaneously against the fixed profiled member 2 and against the elongated component 100.

  • the grub screw 105 is simply used, it is sufficient to screw it in until it is concealed in the gap, so as to apply force simultaneously against the fixed profiled member 2 and against the elongated component 100, in order to prevent mutual sliding, and then insert at least partially in the guide 5 the finishing plug 21; whereas if one prefers to use the ordinary screw 106, optionally equipped with the contoured washer 107, one must ensure that both the washer and the head of the screw are flush with the lateral edge of the door, avoiding the formation of any hindrance.
  • the draft excluder according to the invention fully achieves the intended aim and objects, since it can be extracted completely both from the hinge side of the door, as in traditionally employed devices, and from the handle side, and at the same time allows, starting from a limited and preset number of standard sizes, to cover all possible final dimensions of the various doors and windows that are commercially available.
  • the draft excluder according to the invention in addition to being easily adjustable by ensuring simultaneously the possibility to use, for this purpose, fixed wrenches and flat-tip or Philips screwdrivers, is completely reversible and allows to use perfectly identical fixed profiled members, without any kind of structural modification, both for right-opening doors and for left-opening doors.
