Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for forming groups of objects, in particular of groups of packs of several superimposed packs, which are stored as subgroups of at least two packs on a movable up and down pack lifter and fed through this a packing tower to form the packing group. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for carrying out the method.
- packing groups in a packing tower is known by WO 03/062063 A1 .
- Individual packs are each supplied in pairs lying side by side and stored in this formation on a pack lifter. This lifts the juxtaposed packs into the pack tower.
- the pack group thus formed consists of two juxtaposed and two superimposed packs.
- the packing group is conveyed upwardly out of the packing tower, through the pack lifter.
- packing groups is known as a unit for a large-volume carton ( US 5,794,417 ).
- the individually supplied packages are collected to form a package layer on a package lifter. This is then as a unit moved upwards and fed to a wedge stack until the entire contents of the carton is completed.
- the prior art exclusively discloses methods and devices in which juxtaposed or individual packs are placed on a package lifter and can be supplied by the latter in the vertical direction to a packing tower.
- the invention is based on the object of facilitating the formation of groups of packs by simple sequences of movement when the packs are fed in superposed sub-groups.
- the slider or the package lifter is always moved by a clock corresponding to a pack in the conveying direction, in particular in the upward direction, regardless of the number of packs on the slide or on the pack lifter.
- a clock corresponding to a pack in the conveying direction, in particular in the upward direction, regardless of the number of packs on the slide or on the pack lifter.
- Fig. 1 shows as a preferred application example, a bundle pack for cigarettes with two pack groups 10 as package contents.
- Each pack group 10 consists of a plurality of superposed (cigarette) packs 11, namely five superimposed packs 11. These are packs 11 of the type folding carton, which are directed with a front side up.
- the packs 11 of the two pack groups 10 are in pairs next to each other or with narrow side surfaces together.
- the packages 11 are provided after their completion in a final packaging process with an outer wrapper made of foil.
- Fig. 2 schematically shows the foil packer. After attaching this outer wrapper, the packs 11 are completely finished and are fed to a collection station 12 for forming the pack groups 10 of (five) stacked packs 11.
- each subgroup 13 consists of two superimposed packs 11. These are transported in a sealing position successively as a package strand to collecting station 12.
- a packing slide namely a pack lifter 14.
- a platform 15 is arranged on the package lifter 14, which has approximately the dimensions or a receiving surface, which is slightly smaller than the downwardly directed surface of the packs 11. These lie with large pack sides together.
- the packing group 10 is formed as an upright packing tower 17, which is moved upwards in cycles by inserting further packs 11 on a lower side until the number of packs 11 corresponding to a pack group 10 has been collected one above the other ( Fig. 5 ).
- the pack group 10 is now conveyed away in the transverse direction, by a transversely to the pack lifter 14 movable pusher 16.
- the pack group 10 is taken over by a discharge conveyor, which consists of an upper belt 18 and a lower belt 19. Between these, the groups of packages 10 are detected and sealed ( Fig. 6 ) transported away.
- a special feature is the controlled movement of the package lifter 14.
- the subgroups 13 are discontinued by cyclic transport successively on the platform 15 and thereby aligned with an opposite stop. This is designed as a cross-sectionally U-shaped bridge 20, with an upright web as a stop for the subgroup 13th
- the pack lifter 14 is always moved upwards only by one stroke, which corresponds to the dimension, namely height, of a pack 11.
- two lifting steps of the pack lifter 14 are accordingly required in order to introduce the complete subgroup 13 into the pack tower 17 or to unite with the packs 11 present there.
- the package lifter 14 is moved back to the starting position in a downward stroke ( Fig. 7 ).
- the package lifter 14 is thus constantly moved upwards by the same stroke. This makes it possible, without complex control means, to form a packing group 10 in which the number of packs 11 is a non-integer multiple of the subgroup 13.
- the lifting drive of the pack lifter 14 can be designed in various ways.
- the pack lifter 14 Upon reaching the number of packs 11 corresponding to a pack group 10 in the packing tower 17, the pack lifter 14 is stopped with respect to further upward movement ( Fig. 5 ). The pack group 10 is now conveyed away, a lower pack 11 of the subgroup 13 being retained on the pack lifter 14.
- the angle-shaped pusher 16 detects only the number of packs 11 corresponding to the group of packs 10.
- the lower pack 11 rests against the stop, namely on the bridge 20, during the Abschub Gay. This has an upper, horizontal leg, which bridges a gap to the lower belt 19.
- the pusher 16 After execution of the Abschubterrorism, namely in the final position after insertion of the packing group 10 in the region of the discharge conveyor 17 (FIG. Fig. 6 ), the pusher 16 is moved upwards (trajectory in Fig. 6 ). In a position above the packing tower 17, the pusher 16 returns to the starting position ( Fig. 7 ). The pack 11 remaining on the package lifter 14 can already be introduced into the packing tower 17 when the pusher 16 has left it during the skiving movement.
- the packing tower 17 consists of organs for temporary fixing of the packs 11 during the formation of the pack group 10.
- the packing tower 17 has for this purpose mutually opposite elastic or deformable holding members, which engage the packs on opposite end and bottom sides. These are upright brushes 21, 22, at the distance (the bristles) from each other are slightly smaller than the longitudinal dimensions of the packs 11.
- 17 movable support members are effective at the bottom of the packing tower. These are angular support members 23, 24, on whose transverse support legs in each case the lower packing 11 of the packing group 10 rests. The support members 23, 24 are transversely movable. To introduce a further pack 11 in the packing tower, the support members 23, 24 are temporarily moved apart, so that the lifting movement of the pack lifter 14 can take place.
- the formation of the packing group 10 is monitored by simple monitoring devices, namely by sensors 25, 26. It can be a photocell. As soon as the number of packs 11 corresponding to the pack group 10 has accumulated, the further lifting movement of the pack lifter 14 is prevented via the sensors 25, 26, so that the finished pack group 10 can be conveyed away.
- the control of the package lifter 14 can alternatively also be carried out in such a way that in respective stroke movements of the package lifter 14 complete sub-groups 13 are conveyed in one cycle into the packing tower. If only a single pack 11 is required to complete the pack group 10, the pack lifter 14 is moved only by the stroke corresponding to a single pack 11.

The invention relates to a method for forming groups of objects, in particular of groups of packs of several superimposed packs, which are stored as subgroups of at least two packs on a movable up and down pack lifter and fed through this a packing tower to form the packing group. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for carrying out the method.
The prior art exclusively discloses methods and devices in which juxtaposed or individual packs are placed on a package lifter and can be supplied by the latter in the vertical direction to a packing tower.
The invention is based on the object of facilitating the formation of groups of packs by simple sequences of movement when the packs are fed in superposed sub-groups.
- a) the subgroups consist in each case of at least two superimposed packs and the pack group to be formed consists of a non-integer multiple of the subgroup,
- b) the pack lifter is always moved upwards about a stroke corresponding to the dimension or height of a pack until the packs of the subgroup are introduced into the pack tower,
- c) upon reaching the number of packages in the packing tower corresponding to the packing group, the pack lifter is stopped and the pack group is removed from the packing tower,
- (d) if packages are left on the package lifter after removal of the pack group from the pack tower area, the pack lifter is again upwardly movable, according to the size of a pack, to introduce packs left on the pack lifter into the packing pack for a new pack pack.
According to the invention, therefore, the slider or the package lifter is always moved by a clock corresponding to a pack in the conveying direction, in particular in the upward direction, regardless of the number of packs on the slide or on the pack lifter. After transfer of all packs of a subgroup to the packing tower of the pack lifter is moved back in a continuous movement stroke to the starting position. After formation of a complete packing group in the region of the packing tower, the packing group is removed, in particular by a pusher acting in a transverse direction.

For machine or manufacturing reasons, the
In the area of the
A special feature is the controlled movement of the
The lifting drive of the
The packing
The formation of the
The control of the
