Abstract
Es wird ein elektrisches Installationsgerät, insbesondere Leitungsschutzschalter oder Motorschutzschalter vorgeschlagen, mit einem Gehäuse mit Anschlussmitteln (20, 21) zur Verbindung mit Stromschienen und/oder Anschlussleitungen an mindestens einer Stirnseite, mit mindestens einem Schaltkontakt mit einem feststehenden und einem beweglichen Schaltkontaktstück, zwischen denen bei einer Ausschaltung ein Lichtbogen (6) in einem Lichtbogen-Vorkammerraum (5) entsteht, welcher Lichtbogen über Lichtbogenleitschienen in eine strombegrenzende Lichtbogenlöscheinrichtung (7) einläuft. Im Bereich des Lichtbogen-Vorkammerraums (5) sind Vorkammerplatten (9, 12) angeordnet, durch welche Rückströmkanäle (10, 13) zwischen Gehäusewandung (2) und Vorkammerplatten (9, 12) von der Lichtbogenlöscheinrichtung (7) zum Lichtbogen-Vorkammerraum (5) gebildet werden. Die Gehäusewandung (2) ist im Bereich der Vorkammerplatten (9, 12) mit von außen zugänglichen Ausnehmungen (15, 17) versehen, in welche zur Schaffung eines AC-Hochleistungs-Schaltgeräts Eisenplatten (16, 18) und zur Schaffung eines DC-Hochleistungs-Schaltgeräts Permanentmagnetplatten (16, 18) eingelegt sind.
