Description

Sealing device with identification support and injection mold for its manufacture.
Le dispositif de scellés 101 comprend également un fil flexibleThe present invention relates to the field of seal devices, in particular for the protection of devices against vandalism or for the protection or closure or identification of devices, containers or objects. The present invention will be better understood from the study of seal devices described by way of nonlimiting examples and illustrated by the drawing in which: FIG. 1 represents a perspective view of a seal device according to the invention in position uncoupled; Figure 2 shows a perspective view of the seal device of Figure 1 in the nested and locked position; - Figure 3 shows a horizontal or flat longitudinal section of the seal device according to the invention in the nested position; Figure 4 shows a vertical longitudinal section of the sealant di spositif according to the invention in the nested position; - Figure 5 shows a longitudinal flat section of the sealant di spositif according to the invention in the nested and locked position. FIG. 6 represents a top view of a seal device according to the present invention, capable of constituting a part of the aforementioned seal device, in which the patch is in section; Figure 7 shows an enlarged sectional view of the wafer coupled to the wire, of the seal device of Figure 6; Figure 8 shows a cross section of the patch of the seal device of Figure 6; - Figure 9 shows a perspective view in cross section of the patch of the seal device of Figure 6; FIG. 10 represents a mold for the manufacture of the seal device of the seal device of FIG. 6, in section perpendicular to its joint plane and parallel to the faces of the pellet; Figure 1 1 shows a section of the mold of Figure 10, perpendicular to its joint plane and perpendicular to the faces of the pellet; and Figure 12 shows a section of the mold of Figure 10 in one place of the flexible wire to be produced. The sealing device 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 comprises a first part 2, for example made of a plastic material and produced in one piece, which comprises a flat patch 3 of parallelepiped shape and a flexible wire 4 which extends through example from the middle of a small side 5 of the patch 3. Parallel to its small face 5 and to its large faces, the patch 3 has a through hole 6 through which the flexible wire can be engaged 4. Significantly in the middle of its length, the through hole 6 has internally projecting hooking teeth 7. At different places along its length, the flexible wire 4 has annular hooking teeth 8 projecting from the outside. The inner hooking teeth 7 of the pad 3 and the outer hooking teeth 8 of the flexible wire 4 are such that they allow the flexible wire 4 to be engaged in the hole 6 of the pad 3 but that they prohibit its extraction, except to break them or to break the flexible wire 4. The sealing device 1 further comprises a second part 9, for example made of a plastic material and produced in one piece, constituting a support. This support 9 is flat and of generally parallelepiped shape. Parallel to its large faces, the support 9 has a main longitudinal chamber 10, parallelepiped, open on a small side 1 1 of this support. This chamber 10 is of complementary shape to that of the patch 3, so that the patch 3 can be engaged by interlocking in the chamber 10, until the side 5 of the patch 3 comes substantially flush with the side 1 1 of the support 9, the flexible wire 4 remaining outside. On either side of the chamber 10 and parallel to its large faces, the support 9 has through holes 12 which, when the wafer 3 is fitted into the chamber 10, are located opposite the ends of the through hole 6 of this pellet. Thus, when the patch 3 is fitted into the chamber 10 of the support 9, the flexib wire 4 can be engaged, not only through the through hole 6 of the patch 3 but also and at the same time through the through holes 12 of the support 9 located on either side, so that the pad 3 and the support 9 are then locked with each other. The through holes 12 of the support 9 are of substantially frustoconical shape open towards the outside, so that their internal edges adjacent to the chamber 10 are of reduced thickness and constitute cutting knives 13 for destroying the flexible wire 4. Thus, when the pad 3 is fitted into the chamber 10 of the support 9 and the flexible wire 4 is engaged through the through hole 6 of the pad 3 and through holes 12 of the support 9, it is possible to cut or break by shearing flexible wire 4 under the effect of the knives 13 when the pellet 3 is extracted from the chamber 10 from the support 9, for example by pulling on the part of the wire 4 adjacent to the pellet 3. Opposite its chamber 10 and parallel to its large faces, the support 9 also has a secondary longitudinal chamber 14 in which is longitudinally enclosed an electronic circuit 15 of small dimensions. To install this electronic circuit, it is first of all possible to manufacture a support 9 having a chamber 14 having an opening for example on the side 16 of the support opposite its side 11, put the electronic circuit 15 in the chamber 14, bring the edges 17 of this opening into contact and heat seal them in order to close the chamber 14 and trap the electronic circuit 15 tightly. The electronic circuit 15 comprises an integrated circuit chip presenting information memories and means for reading them, for example remotely, means which can be provided for reprogramming these memories, for example remotely, in order to modify the information that ' they contain. Such an electronic circuit is known per se. Advantageously, said information can be identification data associated with or associated with the seal device 1, such as that, in general, personal identification data, object identification, time-related identification, location identification, value identification or any other useful data. The seal device 1 which has just been described can be used in the following manner. Having on the one hand a first part 2 consisting of the pad 3 and the flexible wire 4 and on the other hand of a support 9 containing an electronic circuit 15 with programmed identification information memories, the pad is fitted 3 in the chamber 10 of the support 9; the flexible wire 4 is passed through or around a part of an object to be protected or identified; and engaging, by its free end, the flexible wire 4 through the corresponding through holes 6 and 12 of the pad 3 and of the support 9, by engaging the hooking teeth 7 and 8; this to form a loop of the desired dimension. Before removing the sealing device 1 from the object and on which it was previously installed, we proceed, using knives 13, to break the flexible wire 4 by extracting the disc 3 from the chamber 10 of the support 9. The first part 2 consisting of the patch 3 and the flexible wire 4 is then no longer usable but the support 9 containing the electronic circuit 15, remaining intact, is again usable and can be reused, possibly having reprogrammed its chip 18, with a first part 2 new to be installed on the same object and or on another object and. The seal device 1 can advantageously be applied in the field of monitoring the use or protection of objects, machines or equipment such as electricity, gas or water meters, in the field of protection and control of objects to be transported such as suitcases, postal bags, coins or banknotes or in fields requiring surveillance of the course of objects or products, generally called traceability. Referring now to FIGS. 6 to 9, it can be seen that a seal device 101 has been shown capable of constituting part 2 of the seal device 1 described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5. The sealing device 101 is in one piece and made of plastic, for example of resistant polyamide. It includes a rectangular patch 102 which has large opposite faces 103 and 104 as well as opposite sides 105 and 106 and opposite sides 107 and 108. The patch 102 has a median through hole 109, generally cylindrical, which extends parallel to its large faces 103 and 104 and at its sides 105 and 106 and which opens on its sides 107 and 108. In the through hole 109, substantially at mid-length, there are provided two opposite hooking lips 1 10 and 1 1 1 in protruding, circumferentially spaced. The seal device 101 also includes a flexible wire
This wire 1 12 is generally cylindrical and is capable of being introduced through the through hole 109 of the patch 102 so as to form a loop. The wire 1 12 has annular hooking parts 1 13 projecting, spaced apart and distributed over a median part of its length. The through hole 109 of the patch 102 and the wire 1 12 are adapted so that the wire 1 12 is guided longitudinally in the through hole 109 of the patch 102 and the annular hooking parts.
1 13 du fil 1 12 sont susceptibles de passer au-dessus des lèvres d'accrochage 1 10 et 1 1 1 et de coopérer avec ces dernières de façon à empêcher le retrait du fil 1 12 après qu'il ait été introduit dans le trou1 13 of the wire 1 12 are capable of passing over the hooking lips 1 10 and 1 1 1 and of cooperating with the latter so as to prevent the withdrawal of the wire 1 12 after it has been introduced into the hole
Referring to Figures 10 to 12, we will now describe an injection mold 1 14 specially designed for the production of the seal device 101. This injection mold 1 14 comprises two parts 1 15 and 1 16 joined by a joint plane 1 17. In parts 115 and 1 16 is formed a main cavity 1 1 8 for the production of the patch 102, this cavity 1 1 8 being symmetrical with respect to the joint plane 1 17 and formed so that large faces 103 and 104 of the patch to be produced extend perpendicular to this joint plane 1 17. With a view to making the through hole 109 of the patch and the lips 1 10 and 1 1 1 projecting into this through hole 109, the mold 1 14 is equipped with an elongated insert 120 which passes through the cavity 1 18 perpendicular to its joint plane 1 17 and which comprises two parts 120 and 121 which have end parts 122 and 123 adjacent and coupled. In the cavity 118, the insert part 120 comprises a cylinder 124 which has an axial hole 125. The annular front shoulder 126 of the cylinder 124 thus produced has two opposite and symmetrical portions of frustoconical front faces 127a and 127b, the vertex is located towards the front, as well as two opposite and symmetrical flats 128a and 128b more inclined than these frustoconical faces 127a and 1227b and produced in the latter. Thus, the annular front shoulder 125 is convex. In the axial hole 125 of the cylinder 124 is mounted a cylindrical lug 129 projecting forward. In the cavity 1 18, the insert part 121 comprises a cylinder 130 whose diameter is slightly greater than the diameter of the cylinder 124 of the insert part 120 and which has in its end part • 123 an axial recess 13 1 The front shoulder thus produced has a frustoconical front face 132 whose tip is directed towards the rear and of the same conicity as the frustoconical faces 127a and 127b of the insert part 120. Thus, the frustoconical front face 132 is concave . When the insert parts 120 and 121 are coupled and in the molding position, the lug 129 of the insert part 120 is engaged just in the recess 131 of the insert part 130 and the opposite frustoconical front faces 127a and 127b of the insert part 120 are in contact with or bear on two opposite parts of the frustoconical front face 132 of the insert part 121, while between the opposite and inclined flats 128a and 129a of the part of insert 120 and the other opposite parts of the insert part 121, located opposite the frustoconical front face 132, define opposite spaces and symmetrical 133 and 134, open laterally and inclined, whose volumes and shapes correspond to the lips 110 and 111 to be produced. Thus, the thickness of the spaces 133 and 134 increases from their circumferential end part to their middle part and their thickness increases from the lug 129 to their periphery, the spaces 133 and
134 having internal cylindrical surfaces 135 and 136 having circular end edges opposite the flats. As shown in FIG. 11, with a view to producing the wire 112, the mold 114 further comprises an elongated complementary cylindrical cavity 137 which communicates with the main cavity 118. In this complementary cavity 137 are provided, for the realization of the annular protruding parts 113 of the wire 112, hollow annular parts 138 which have a radial face 139 situated on the side of the cavity 118 and a frustoconical face 140 the apex of which is opposite to the cavity 118. Having joined the parts 115 and 116 of the mold 114 and having placed the insert parts 120 and 121 in the position described above, one proceeds to the injection of a plastic material into the cavities 118 and 137. Then, one extracts from the cavity 118, in opposite directions, the insert parts 120 and 121 and the sealing device 101 thus produced is ejected. As a consequence of the shape of the spaces 133 and 134 of the insert 119, as shown more precisely in FIG. 9, the hooking lips 110 and 111 form, in the through hole 109, inclined corners spaced circumferentially and having faces cylindrical axial interior 110a and 111a resulting from the cylindrical wall of the lug 129 and delimiting a cylindrical passage, frustoconical front faces 110b and 111b resulting from the frustoconical face 132 of the insert part 121 and rear inclined flat faces 110c and 111c resulting from the inclined flats 128a and 128b of the insert 119, the axial cylindrical inner faces 110a and 111a and the frustoconical faces 110b and 111b joining together to form circular end edges HOd and 11d. Thus, the thickness of the lips 110 and 111 increases by their part of circumferential end at their middle part and their thickness increases from their end to the wall of the hole 109. As shown more precisely in FIG. 7, when the wire 112 is engaged through the passage 109 of the patch 102 to constitute a loop, each annular projecting hooking part 113 of the wire 112, obtained in the hollow annular parts 138 of the mold 114, can pass by elastically deforming the lips 110 and 111 formed in the through hole 109 of the patch 102, which slide on its frustoconical surface 113a resulting from the surface 140 of the mold 114, then come in front of the ends of the hooking lips 110 and 111, so as to constitute a hooking preventing the extraction of the wire 112, except to break the latter . In this hooking position, the lips 110 and 111 are oriented towards the radial face 113b of an annular projecting part 113 of the wire 112. Their circular end edges HOd and 111 d are in contact with the internal part of this radial face 113b. The inner cylindrical faces 110a and 111a of the lips 110 and 111 envelop the corresponding cylindrical part of the wire 112 at a short distance. Thanks to the structure of the attachment of the wire 112 in the hole 109 of the patch 102, it is possible to ensure relatively resistance important when pulling out and extracting the wire, the structure of the lips 110 and 111 of the patch 102 and the structure of the annular attachment parts 113 of the wire 112 gives them a resistance which can be much greater than the resistance to tensile rupture of the wire 112 in its cylindrical parts. The present invention is not limited to the examples described above. Many variations are possible without departing from the scope defined by the appended claims.
