Abstract

One piece seat has a curved bowl crossbar (1), and a backrest as well as the upper end of a backrest. Two ends are provided on the cross bar and a tensioning pole is assigned between the two ends. Description

The invention relates to a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair, a chair with such a one-piece seat with backrest and method for producing a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair and for producing a chair with such a one-piece seat with backrest.

In the prior art chairs are known in which the seat and the backrest surface are each formed by a knit fabric. The knitted fabrics are stretched between separate tubular frames. The covered tubular frame for the backrest is connected in a suitable manner with the covered tubular frame for the seat. The production and covering of the seat and the backrest takes place separately, the seat and the backrest are then rigidly connected.

It is disadvantageous that the number of components to be provided and the number of manufacturing steps to be performed for such a chair are high, which makes the manufacture of such a chair expensive and expensive.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a chair, the seat and backrest have a knit fabric and in which the number of required components and the manufacturing steps to be performed is reduced, and therefore can be made easier and cheaper. Furthermore, a method for simple and inexpensive production of such a chair is to be specified.

These objects are achieved by the subject matter of the independent claims. Advantageous developments emerge in each case from the dependent claims.

According to the invention, a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair is provided, which has a bent shell frame tube, a tie rod and a one-piece knitted fabric. The bent shell frame tube defines the left and right sides of the seat and the backrest and the upper end of the backrest and has two ends, between which the tie rod is inserted. The left and right side of the seat and the backrest forming portions of the curved shell frame tube may also be referred to as side spars, the upper end of the backrest defining portion of the curved shell frame tube may also be referred to as a transverse spar. The one-piece knitted fabric has an integrated circumferential welt hem in which the shell frame tube and the tension rod are threaded and run there. So that the shell frame tube and the tie rod can be threaded into the circumferential Kedersaum, at least one opening is provided on the underside of the one-piece knitted fabric at one edge.

According to a basic idea of the invention, such a construction provides a one-piece seat with a seat surface and with a backrest, in which a single knit extends continuously over the seat surface and over the backrest, in the form that the circumferential welt seams in one front, later concealed bottom portion has at least one opening through which the entire shell frame tube and the tension rod are threaded. There is no need to provide separate knits for the seat and backrest.

Furthermore, such a one-piece seat with backrest on an exceptionally delicate shape and special beauty of form. According to a first embodiment of the invention, the circumferential Kedersaum on its underside on two openings in order to thread the shell frame tube and the tie rod advantageous. These two openings can be provided left and right in a front edge region of the underside of the one-piece knitted fabric. These are completely invisible when the one-piece seat with backrest is mounted on a chair frame.

Due to the construction according to the invention of the one-piece seat with backrest, the one-piece knitted fabric can be formed in one layer. Its shape and dimensions are determined by the contour of the curved shell frame tube and the tie rod set. In general, the one-piece knit has a substantially rectangular shape.

The invention also relates to a chair in which the above-described one-piece seat with backrest, in particular the sides holme whose shell frame tube is attached to two frame legs of an underlying chair frame. In this case, a support member is further arranged in a front region of the chair frame below the one-piece knitted fabric in order to avoid a collapse of the knitted fabric and to increase the supporting force for resting in a front region of the seat thigh. This support member can in principle be made of any material. The seating comfort can be improved when the support member is made of a flexible material.

A particularly stable and easy to manufacture construction of the chair is given when the support member between the frame legs attached, in particular screwed. Then even can be dispensed with a cross strut between the frame legs of the chair frame at this point.

The invention also relates to a method for producing a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair. Initially, a bent shell frame tube already described above and a one-piece knit fabric already described above are provided. The bent shell frame tube is then fully threaded through at least one of the openings of the circumferential welt space in the welt space. Thereafter or at the same time, the bent shell frame tube is covered with the one-piece knit so that both the backrest and the seat surface are continuously stretched by the one-piece knitted fabric. Finally, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing a chair, in which first the method described above for producing a one-piece seat with backrest is carried out. Then a chair frame with two frame legs are provided and a particular flexible support member mounted on top of the chair frame between the two frame legs. Alternatively, the chair frame can already be made available with such a support member. Finally, the one-piece seat is fixed with backrest on the chair frame.

With this manufacturing method, a particularly shapely and comfortable shell frame chair can be produced inexpensively, quickly and easily.

In order to optimally tension the shell frame, the side uprights of the shell frame tube can be stretched apart, in particular with the aid of a corresponding device when fastening the one-piece seat with backrest on the chair frame.

A particularly stable and inexpensive realizable attachment of the one-piece seat with backrest on the chair frame is given when the side rails of the shell frame tube are bolted to the frame legs.
