The frame 48 also consists of two C-shaped frame parts 50, 51, the legs 52, 53 arranged horizontally in this embodiment are, while the webs 54 are arranged vertically. The thigh 52, 53 have flange webs at their free, mutually facing ends 55, 56, each paired with each other and then have the same cross-section as the legs 52, 53. They each have two bores 57 which lie one above the other the webs 55, 56 are aligned with one another and those with bores 58 in Coverage can be brought up in supports 59, 60 of the central rod 45 are formed. In the ends of the cross bar 46 are also Bores 61 formed when the frame 48 abuts the backrest support 44 each with a bore 62 in the middle of each Bridge 54 aligned.

The frame parts 50, 51 are not made of metal pipes in this embodiment formed, but consist of injected fiber-reinforced Plastic, for example plastic reinforced with graphite fibers.

The assembly takes place in such a way that - as already described - first Leg 52 and then the web 54 and then the other leg 53 one Frame part 50 or 51 through an insertion opening 21 of the cover 49 in the welt seams 17, 18, 19 and then the other frame part 51 in is pushed into the welt seams 17, 20, 19 in the same way. Here too the welt seams 17 to 20 are wider than the legs 52, 53 and the webs 54 to allow insertion. The flange webs 54, 55 are located then in register with the openings 21 of the cover 49. To facilitate assembly, the frame parts 50, 51 are thereby stabilized against each other that a mounting aid pin, not shown pushed through middle center holes 63 of the flange webs 55, 56 becomes. Then the backrest 47 which is preassembled in this way is applied to the supports 59, 60 serving as connecting elements, whereupon the attachment of the frame 48 with reference 49 to the central rod 45 in that screws 64 through the holes 58 in the supports 59, 60 in the bores 57 of the flange webs lying one on top of the other 55, 56 can be screwed, which also means a firm connection the frame parts 50, 51 are reached together. For stabilization the backrest 47 are then screws 65 through the holes 61 screwed in the crossbar 46 into the holes 62 in the webs 54.

In this embodiment, too, the openings 21 of the cover 49 completely covered by the supports 59, 60 so that they are invisible become. The screws 65 are screwed through the cover 49; no openings in the cover have to be provided for them. The backrest frame can also be used in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6 48 be curved overall, d. H. the horizontal Legs 52, 53 are towards the back toward the backrest support 44 bent, while the vertical webs 54 bent towards the seat 40 are.
