Definitions
- the present invention relates to a device for processing stacked flat material, in particular of letters, wherein the device has a magazine forming a feed station, the flat material is fed in a stack, wherein the feed station has an abutment against which the flat material with a collision side and wherein in the conveying direction behind the feeding station means for separating the flat material supplied in the stack is arranged.
- the object of the invention is now to provide a device that can be implemented inexpensively by simple means and which allows optimized in terms of a defined orientation task of the sheets.
- the basic idea of the invention is to shake the flat material once while it still stands together relatively loosely within the feed station in the stack.
- the abutment or at least a part of the abutment on which the flat material bears with a abutment side is brought into connection with a shaking means, which at least temporarily causes the part of the abutment to vibrate.
- the vibrations are in their frequency and their amplitude are such that they effect a flattening of the flat material with respect to the abutting side.
- the anvil forms a part of the magazine table.
- the advantages of jogging are in particular shipments which are entered into the system as a mixed format of, for example, C6 to B4 in different thicknesses of 0.5 to 20 mm and with different types of transhipment. As already indicated, it is precisely these transmissions that can lead to disruptions of the operation if they are not seated on the transporting underfloor belt at the bottom edge.
- the shaking now causes the programs align themselves flush with the edge and thus lead in the following processing steps to a significantly reduced susceptibility to interference.
- the shaking means can be formed by an electric motor, on whose shaft an eccentric is seated. This is connected via a rod directly or indirectly to the oscillatory part of the anvil. The stroke of the vibration is adjusted via the eccentric, while the frequency can be variably controlled by the engine speed.
- Further efficiency of the fusion can be achieved by varying the amplitude and / or the frequency and / or the direction of the vibrations generated by the shaker during the shaking. This can be produced by superimposing another oscillation on the fundamental, so that a beating occurs. Especially with a force application from different directions paired frequency change can solve a persistent connection between two individual pieces.
- the vibrator can be particularly simple and inexpensive to build when the part of the thrust bearing connected to the Haittelstoff is formed by a relatively narrow and lightweight support plate on which the united in the stack flat individual pieces with the butt side up.
- This support plate with relatively low inertia can then be driven by a relatively weak Scotlandtelstoff.
- This support plate ideally forms the conclusion of the transport route and thus the slip-off edge.
- This slip-off edge connected directly to the shaking means leads to a particularly efficient separation.
- the individual pieces are transported, in particular, from an underfloor belt to the support plate, from the edge of which they then slide onto the further conveying path. In this position at the end of the transport path, the mutual clamping of the individual pieces loosens, so that the shaking can lead to an efficient placement on the orientation edge.
- Another advantage of this embodiment is that it is technically easy to implement insofar as such a vibrator can be built as a separate component between two conveyor belts. Therefore, even existing systems can be retrofitted with such a vibrator.
- the support plate attached to the end of the conveyor line is inclined in the conveying direction obliquely downwards, so that the slipping is supported.
- the procedure can be summarized as follows: At the beginning of processing, operators remove the individual items (consignments) from the letter containers and place them as flush as possible on the magazine table. The consignments are then transported by means of the two swords covering the stack on its flat sides and the underfloor drive in the direction of the device for singling. Before the handover of the items from the magazine table to the tapered rollers, the items pass over the vibrator according to the invention, which accomplishes an almost complete rounding. Through the propulsion and the cone shape of the tapered rollers slipped shipments are further fanned. After a fan spread, which is advantageously longer than 400 mm, the items are fed to a Reibzellzelung. This always takes the first letter and feeds it to the other processing system.
- FIG. 1 shows a device for processing stacked letters 1, which has a loading station 2 forming a magazine.
- This loading station 2 shown here only schematically has a rigid bottom plate 3, on which the stacks are placed by hand.
- the bottom plate 3 forms an abutment on which the flat material (here letters) rests with a collision side.
- the letters are not flush, but are, as here the letter 4, because of a Verhakens something from the stack.
- the stack is supplied by a conveyor belt designed as underfloor belt 5 means 6 for dicing (arrow B), of which in this case in essentially a running track with individually driven tapered rollers 7 is shown. About this tapered rollers 7, the seated letters are transported away in the direction of arrow A.
- the anvil 3 has a support plate 8, which are fed to the letters united in the stack 1 and on which they finally stand up with the abutting side.
- This movably mounted support plate 8 is connected via a linkage 9 with a croquttelstoff.
- the croquttelstoff is here formed by a motor 10, on the shaft of an eccentric is seated, wherein the linkage 9 coupled to the eccentric.
- the thus realized vibrator causes a vibration of the support plate 8, wherein the vibration causes a flattening of the flat material with respect to the abutting side.
- the support plate 8 is inclined in the conveying direction by a small angle downwards, which supports the transition of the letters 11 on the tapered rollers 12. At its end, the support plate 8 forms a slip-off edge 13 from which the letters 11 slide in almost homogeneous motion on the tapered rollers 12. Against premature uncontrolled slipping the first letter 11 is acted upon by a sensor in the direction of arrow C. The slipped from the slip edge letters meet on the lower edge standing on the tapered rollers 12 and are transported parallel to the lower edge.
- the support plate 8 is part of the vibrator, which has the motor 10 as a central component.
- the motor 10 hangs on a bracket 14 which is rigidly connected to the anvil 3.
- a base plate 16 couples to the holder 14, wherein on the base plate 16, a height-adjustable base 17 is mounted, which carries the support plate 8.
- the base plate 16 and thus the support plate 8 is set in vibration via an eccentric from the motor 10, wherein the rubber buffer 15 allow the vibration.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a device for processing stacked flat material, in particular of letters, wherein the device has a magazine forming a feed station, the flat material is fed in a stack, wherein the feed station has an abutment against which the flat material with a collision side and wherein in the conveying direction behind the feeding station means for separating the flat material supplied in the stack is arranged.
There are facilities known that are used for large letter sorting. These have a feed station ("fabric feeders" or "feeders") which receives the letters in standing stacks, with two stacks separated by swords. The letters stand with their abutment sides on an abutment-forming underfloor belt, which promotes them in the direction perpendicular to their flat side, with the swords are carried. The individual letters thus reach the end of the conveying path at which a slide-off edge parallel to the abutment side is provided, from which they slide off one after the other and place with the abutting side (orientation edge) on a further conveyor track equipped with tapered rollers. On this conveyor line they are withdrawn in a vertical direction to the conveying direction of the feeder at high speed and on this Way isolated. This separation is supported by the tapered rollers whose different radius leads to a gradient in the conveying speed of the individual letters.
The problem with the previously known systems, however, is that in the stack sometimes not all letters are flush on the underfloor belt, because the blending was not complete in the manual input or because it comes to a hooking of folded edges. This problem occurs in particular when processing mixed-format large letters of different strengths. This oblique orientation continues in the further processing, since these letters can not stand on their edge even after slipping off the underfloor belt, if they lack the corresponding freewheel. The inclination is therefore retained in the further processing, if the letters are given no opportunity to sit on the further route.
Finally, the letters are then tipped to machine-read the address on their flat side, with a defined orientation is a prerequisite for a successful read. However, the initial obliquely upstanding letters do not meet this requirement and must be sorted out of the process and fed back to him now properly terminated. This "extra round" involves a waste of time and therefore unnecessary costs.
The object of the invention is now to provide a device that can be implemented inexpensively by simple means and which allows optimized in terms of a defined orientation task of the sheets.
This object is achieved by the device according to claim 1.
Thereafter, the basic idea of the invention is to shake the flat material once while it still stands together relatively loosely within the feed station in the stack. According to the invention, the abutment or at least a part of the abutment on which the flat material bears with a abutment side is brought into connection with a shaking means, which at least temporarily causes the part of the abutment to vibrate. The vibrations are in their frequency and their amplitude are such that they effect a flattening of the flat material with respect to the abutting side. The anvil forms a part of the magazine table.
With this shaking, a significant improvement in the delivery quality of the letter mail from the existing magazine to the singulation module is achieved. The advantages of jogging are in particular shipments which are entered into the system as a mixed format of, for example, C6 to B4 in different thicknesses of 0.5 to 20 mm and with different types of transhipment. As already indicated, it is precisely these transmissions that can lead to disruptions of the operation if they are not seated on the transporting underfloor belt at the bottom edge. The shaking now causes the programs align themselves flush with the edge and thus lead in the following processing steps to a significantly reduced susceptibility to interference.
It is particularly easy to realize the "jogger" when he just puts the corresponding part of the thrust bearing in a vertical vibration. For this purpose, the shaking means can be formed by an electric motor, on whose shaft an eccentric is seated. This is connected via a rod directly or indirectly to the oscillatory part of the anvil. The stroke of the vibration is adjusted via the eccentric, while the frequency can be variably controlled by the engine speed. In order to achieve the most effective possible bundling, it is advantageous to additionally provide a horizontal component in addition to the vertical component of the vibration. This then causes a further separation of the coherent individual pieces.
Further efficiency of the fusion can be achieved by varying the amplitude and / or the frequency and / or the direction of the vibrations generated by the shaker during the shaking. This can be produced by superimposing another oscillation on the fundamental, so that a beating occurs. Especially with a force application from different directions paired frequency change can solve a persistent connection between two individual pieces.
Technically, the vibrator can be particularly simple and inexpensive to build when the part of the thrust bearing connected to the Rüttelmittel is formed by a relatively narrow and lightweight support plate on which the united in the stack flat individual pieces with the butt side up. This support plate with relatively low inertia can then be driven by a relatively weak Rüttelmittel.
This support plate ideally forms the conclusion of the transport route and thus the slip-off edge. This slip-off edge connected directly to the shaking means leads to a particularly efficient separation. The individual pieces are transported, in particular, from an underfloor belt to the support plate, from the edge of which they then slide onto the further conveying path. In this position at the end of the transport path, the mutual clamping of the individual pieces loosens, so that the shaking can lead to an efficient placement on the orientation edge. Another advantage of this embodiment is that it is technically easy to implement insofar as such a vibrator can be built as a separate component between two conveyor belts. Therefore, even existing systems can be retrofitted with such a vibrator. To further support the bundling, it is advantageous if the support plate attached to the end of the conveyor line is inclined in the conveying direction obliquely downwards, so that the slipping is supported.
The procedure can be summarized as follows: At the beginning of processing, operators remove the individual items (consignments) from the letter containers and place them as flush as possible on the magazine table.
If, however, not all mail items were aligned with their lower edge on the underfloor drive during the application of the mail piece to the magazine, the above-described problem results when singulating on the friction separation. The items that are too high are pulled diagonally by the friction belts during the deduction and, due to their undefined position, cause a considerable number of letter disturbances. This disadvantage already described is eliminated by the vibrator according to the invention, which is advantageously installed at the transition point from the magazine table to the tapered rollers. As stated, this vibrator causes the programs that do not rest with their lower edge on the bottom edge of the magazine slide down by the vibration and thus can be easily processed at the Reibparzelung.
